Barn Cleanout And Spring Lambing!

  • It's finally spring and we have new lambs! Before any more of our ewes start lambing we need to clean out the manuere pack so that we can have clean bedding for our May lambing! We will show you our newest set of lamb triplets! We also spend a bit of time sorting out our January/February lambs. We grouped the ram lambs separate from the ewe lambs and prepared one side of our barn for the lambing we are just beginning! It's an exciting time on the farm!

      Just getting done with may lambers, lamb prices are strong so that is good.

      Whatever doesnt go as breeding stock, goes to olex, Kitchener sales barn

    What are the dimensions of the barn? Pens and alley?

      200 ft long, 40 ft wide, 10 ft centre alleyway, with pens of 15 ft on each side. These are not the ideal but what worked for budget etc. at the time. Ideally wider would be better, but this was the widest that these barns came in.
