As a valet myself, you're 💯 on point. Wish all of our guests had your mindset. Thanks for this video.

I’m a full time valet at a 5 star resort in southwest Florida. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. Everything you said is accurate. Money talks, and we work on tips. If you want special treatment, you should pay for it. If you get special treatment and don’t pay, I can promise you that next time you come you’ll be on the highest floor in the garage.
The same goes for the other way around. If you show up and you give us $20 or more both on arrival and departure, you will be treated as a VIP the next time you show up.
I just want to say that, regardless of your tips, your car will still be cared for and we will still be pleasant with you. This is a career for a lot of us. We don’t go on joy rides, we don’t look through your car (there’s never time for this for those who think we do) and we would never, NEVER intentionally damage it. That said, there are certain things in our power such as proximity of parking and the speed at which we retrieve your car. These latter things are highly dependent on how generous you are.

The cars kept up top are the BEST tippers or the biggest pain the ass customers.

If valet is always a risk then why fancy places enforce this service?
We must speak up and remove or change this horrible service.
I would rather use a parking lot at Walmart then valet at any luxury restaurant.

So you tip the guy extra up front and ask if you can park it yourself. They just want the cash, they could care less.

Everywhere I valet the parking lot is to small so we have to bring there cars to a backup lot. If everyone tried to park themselves the restaurant goes out of business because maybe half the amount of cars would get in the lot. Some gravel lots have no lines so we park the cars less than a foot from each other. Most people can’t or won’t park there car that tight. Basically a lot of these bar and seafood places can only exists because they have valet. And if you didn’t want to valet maybe don’t pull into a valet only lot, maybe park it down the street and walk half a mile because you’re really tipping for the connivence of valet . The worst thing I’ve done to a car is moved the seat back so I can fit my legs in😂

Minute 1:15 after telling his viewers not to use negative attitude lol.... so don't tell people to do something that you don't apply to yourself.
