    Your videos are much better when you aren’t reading a script. Appreciate them all though!

    I understand the script. I tend to drift off topic by bringing in all the variables involved around my message and the scrip helps stay on the topic at hand.

    Another thing you wanna make sure is if your load doesn’t start falling and you keep hoisting then suddenly just the back quarter breaks out while the rest is still stuck , well all your cantilevered weight is suddenly gone and your bucket by this time is fully hoisted the post could collapse. See these videos often on yt. Usually much bigger dumps though. Probably wouldn’t affect Andrews little one It’s stout. It’s a damn good little dumper. Andrew seems to find good damned equipment that’s perfect for his jobs. Except the bobcats. Lol.

    Fantastic! I bet that took a lot of practice. With a drone you'd be able to see the gravel flow behind you in real-time, via the drone's video monitor, to avoid snafus caused by clumps etc., and deliver a near-perfect load. Thats probably what you do nowadays, huh?

    Not a complaint, but I so much love when you explain and cover things "off the cuff" without a script. I feel its more like listening to you instead of someone thats just learning or repeating someone else's instructions. We know that isnt you, so feel free to just "talk"!

    Doing this with the requirements for the layer to be between 2-4 cm on a patch of road that is roughly 8km, you will learn how to do this really fast, and how to set the chain's for the proper length. Can get a bit nerve racking when the road has sloaps tho.

    I've never liked just #2 stone as it does't pack in or stay well unless the road is soft and it pushes down in and blends with the base. But crusher run is hard to tailgate out thin. If you chain the gate space thin the material tends to clog especially when wet. If you set the gate wide it dumps too fast. I guess if I had a tractor with a bucket loader on the front and a grader box and York rake attachments I could fix my bad tailgating.

      @AndrewCamarata  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @skynet000001
      @skynet000001 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      maybe my bed manufacturer Peabody , the bed opens like most at the bottom but the top has heavy duty pins id have to knock out to make it drop and the gate is so heavy it would take two guys to flip it back up and knock to pins in. maybe i can fabricate something easier...i love your channel, keep up the good work..

    • @davidmorse8432
      @davidmorse8432 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@skynet000001 You can flip it back up with a loader or trackhoe. Also a come along working from inside the bed. Don't try to do it manually, too much chance of hurting yourself.

    I feel like I know every inch of that drive and field.....how do you manage the initial part of the road before the field....that appears to be a huge challenge when snow plowing....the curves, and steepness of some of the hills....speed must be essential..

    • @AndrewCamarata
