We decided to fill up our summer silo as well because we didn't make quite enough silage last year.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.

One of your videos popped up on my screen a couple of months ago and now I’m totally addicted. Even though you are clearly working hard, each video is like an oasis of calm and relaxation. They remind me of a long time ago, growing up on a small croft here in Scotland. Many thanks for taking the time to share a little of your working life with us.

Hello Jasper, very nice day to go chopping grass silage and 12:13 bunker’s filled back up . Love the view’s it’s so beautiful . How many loads’s does your bunker’s hold of silage? How long do you let it set before using ?Hauling slurry manure it seem’s like a never ending job. You have some good helper’s with the silage that is good. You’ll be working until it gets dark then milk cows ? Your going to wear yourself out . Your farm still the cleanest I seen so far out of all the others video’s of other farmer’s. What happen with the chopper seen you was fixing some of the blades?
Hm, don't know how many loads it holds 🤔 we let them sit at least 3 weeks unless we're using inoculant, in that case it is ready after two weeks. No, we always milk around 5 pm and then go back to whatever we're doing 😉 thank you 🙂 some pickup tines were loose so I just tightened them, nothing broken luckily 👍

It is 🙂 well last year we didn't have ryegrass but some other grass mix that didn't do quite as well as this. Otherwise the 1st cut last year was alright but the next cuts were bad...

Zasto ne pakujes u rolo bale,dali je ekonomicnije radit na taj način?Ja isto treba da se odlucim kupiti rolo balirku ili takvu prikolocu.
@@dejanmicic6766 Za nas je, i lakše hraniti, bale se teško miješaju u mikser prikolici.

how many hectares do you work on and how many cows do you have and how many of them do you milk?
We work 22 hectares, we have 35 milking cows and ~25 heifers.

What feed do you produce?
We have mostly permanent grassfields, we only plant corn on a couple of hectares. We make grass and corn silage and hay.

I have one more question, how many liters of milk are there per day from 35 milking cows?
Around 800 liters per day, but we usually milk up to 32 cows as some of them are "in dry period", thats 2 months from calving 😉

Italijanska ljuljka. Gre brez, smo pa v en silos dodali inokulant za hitrejše siliranje.

Lepo je blo kr neki robe videt😜. Tam ko si zacel gnojnico vozit bo koruza 🌽 🤔. Upam da ni cel posnetek o gnojnici bil ker se mi dopade kak ti snemas sploh pa ko pokazes kak jo mikser mesa 🤪

Mogoče, če bo priložnost 🤔 kakšen 120 konjski traktor , čelna kosilnica, dvorotorski zgrabljalnik,... 🙃
@@farmerspov4709 super zamisel, kakšen john deere 6120m z nizko haubo bi bil super, pa še ročni menjalnik lahko vzemeš, če ti je to všeč
Ja, se mi zdi, da so novi 6M precej popularni 🤔😀 ampak trenutno je bolj slab čas za take investicije 🙃
