some people have no idea how much work goes into a glass of milk. you have a beautiful farm! thankyou for all your hard work! from Alberta, Canada. 👏👍👍
We are a fair way off silage here in Dorset, England with cattle only going out on the driest farms yet. Plus, still have cool winds and showers of rain daily ! Looks good with you. 🙏
I have grown up in small farm like this..this video brings me memories of good times and hard work in barn and fields.. missing those days.. how many cows do you have? Greetings from finland 🇫🇮
That was so nice to see you're first cut in the silo so early in the year Gasper what a great start to the year hopefully it continues that way You're drone shots were spectacular as always the sunset and scenery wonderful Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Yes and it was very nice to work on dry ground and in sunny weather. Now we got cold temperatures and even some snow so hopefully this doesn't last long 🙃 thank you 🙂
There aint many things more beautiful then raking at sunset :) reminds me a lot of my childhood, thanks for bringing a part of it back with every video!
If I had my own farm and not in this country the way you farm is how I would want to do it. I enjoy farming and your methods seem very.... peaceful if that sounds right? Keep up the great content 👍👍
Nice Video, the good Time of the Year has started😁 Here in Austria the Crops are also early this year, if it continues we might have harvest half a Month earlier
Nice Video 👍🏻 Good to see the next Generation watching Dad how he works😊 But standing on a Palette on the Frontloader might be risky, in my area there have been some incidents🤔 Stay safe my Friend😁
On your pottinger forage wagon I've noticed that the pto shaft is under the drawbar of the tractor is it standard spec never seen or used something with pto under drawbar maybe it's a European thing
I think in mainland Europe they use a type of truck hitch that can be adjusted up and down. By contrast in the UK and here in Ireland we mainly use pick up hitches
Ok thanks u have a beautiful place U guys do thing different then we do in the states it’s interesting to watch other countries on here to see how things are different Thank u
So we have this 1st cut field grass in both silos, for feed consistency. Its also easier to fill two at once, one is filling and the other compacting. Also we try to have both filled up about the same before we fill them with corn in the fall. And as the saying goes, there's no stupid questions, just stupid answers 😀
@@farmerspov4709 How many crops can you get from the grass there in the summer? Here in Finland, we get two harvests, and if we're lucky, maybe a third. Growing corn here is still quite challenging and expensive here at 63 latitude.
@@justafinman2640 4-5 cuts here. I see. The corn grows good here but lately its either drought, too much rain, hail or heavy winds that gets it... Or wildlife 😅

Haha nice! 😁
Beautiful and cinematic footage as always, thanks for your hard work!
Thank you for your nice comments 😀
My family farm has only grain and I've never done silage. Would love to try that some day! 😁 Love your videos!

great, and by the road, there are poles with a roof, what was it used for, e.g. at a fork in the road, maybe an old photo
Hm, maybe you mean "kozolec"? It was used back in the day for drying hay.
Based upon this video are to conclude that you will have some carryover hay this year? If so, that must seem very nice for a change.
Yes that's right, it seems like a blessing lately 😀

Hello!
nice content!
Can you tell me the length and width of the cowshed?
Hi, thank you 🙂 its about 35 m x 15 m.
Could you please explain what is the best feed for fattening bulls or calves?
Hm, don't know whats best but corn works pretty good 🤔😁
I love your content, been following for 3 years. Great work! What camera do you use?
Nice, thank you 🙂 GoPro Hero 11 black mini.
Hello, do you use inoculants in grass silage?
No, not usually.
What country is that great big fields
Its Slovenia 🙂
is that a double 4 herringbone parlor?
Double 3

Yeah its pretty common with this loader wagons, I guess it tows better 🤔

@daneenmurf1043 did 4 years farming in uk pickup hitch is the business you hitch equipment fast no jacks to raise trailers🤙
@@georgeehlers6622 lets see if you can convert the Americans to PUH 😁
If the weather is good enough to start a first cut sileage, why do you still have livestock indoors please?
Cows stay in, heifers are out.
Why dont you use the john deere or the new holland for the forage weagen
New Holland isn't heavy enough and we use JD for compacting because its the heaviest.
Do you usualy harvest this early?
No, we usualy start in May.
👍
whats the reason you use the NH over the JD for raking up?
Its the best fit 😉
is it ensilage you are making out af the grass
Yes 👍
Where are you from?
Nice video!
From Slovenia. Thank you 🙂
