      @jackieschomburgart  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Short answer? Anything I want to 🤣 I often mail them in cards, make cards out of them, frame them and sell at affordable price points. You could even punch holes in the corners, string them up on a ribbon and make a pennant banner as a room decoration. Frame a set of 3 or 4 and hang them in your hallway, entryway, or bathroom. The sky’s the limit ☺️❤️

    I LOVED this! Even if it wasn't "classic" Jackie looking...it still had your vibe even prior to the red! I really liked these combos more than I was anticipating at the start!! Just really crisp, some almost minimal, but not...they just were not crowded or cluttered looking. Really liked them!!

    Wow, that was very enjoyable to witness! Glad I found your channel, Jackie. My passion is portraiture that leans toward realism pretty strongly and I am finding a definite need to alternate with loose and creative expression, which doesn't come as easily. You have great teaching examples that are inspiring.

    very cool! i don't do purely abstract art, but often, as soon as i start watching your videos, i press pause and go to my studio to paint or do collage. you're always inspiring me to create! thank you. (later i go back and watch the rest of your videos. the close-ups at the end were fantastic). :)

    It's incredibly difficult to comment on your videos without starting with an "OMG!" or something similar. You are without a doubt the MASTER of small art (amongst other things). These are brilliant and beautiful. I suspect many viewers will not comprehend the investment in artistic growth which has resulted in a sound intuitive talent behind the creations.
    In my mind I'm picturing this series adhered but floating on an off-white backboard in a grid pattern, surrounded wide white matting, framed in a minimal but chunky black frame.... and on my living room wall!
    This share was particularly helpful as I've been toying with next steps on a 30" x 48" canvas. I'm at that stuck stage where I know it requires an injection of something different to bring it to life but not quite sure of what. You have provided a reference from which to move it forward and to explore ideas. Jackie, you continue to be high on my short-list of inspirational art heroes!

    I love this sort of thing, but doing these 14 tiny pieces would take me about a day if not longer :D. I loved the process and the results. I'm a sucker for contrast and bright colours and here comes Jackie! I love the trick to uncurl the curly edges. I will def use it 😍

    • @jackieschomburgart
      @jackieschomburgart  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Treezy! Part of the beauty of this exercise is that you can spend as much - or as little - time on it as you’d like. Try it sometime by setting a timer for yourself - give yourself 10 minutes and see how many elements you can add to each paper before time runs out. It’ll help you think less and just play 🤗

  • @sunwaterstudio
    @sunwaterstudio ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm interested to know what do you do with all of these "warm ups" and other art you make. I am accumulating such a vast amount of artwork (not all good) by watching your videos and I'm not sure what to do with everything in my small space. Kind of don't want to throw it out... because I like referencing--but it's becoming overwhelming. Thanks for your videos. You are awesome..

    • @jackieschomburgart
      @jackieschomburgart  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do all sorts of things with these types of projects including using for collage paper for a different project, attaching to folded cardstock and making a homemade card, framing in a matted frame and hanging it on the wall, sending them to a friend as-is just to spread some love, gesso over it and keep reusing them for other warm up exercises, etc.

    What is the adhesive? Seems like such a a nice way to easily work with and adhere small, thin pieces that don't stick to your fingers.....kept watching. Looks to be gloss medium. Think I've got it!

  • @BirdieB12
    @BirdieB12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @jackie schomburg-abstract what if you used a spray fixative vs the gel medium like Blair,sennielier,kamar,or grumbacher then it would not smear since it's neo2 not the neo1.
    Gosh I wish they had in neo1 all the colors that 2 has-gallery soft pastels has a nice assortment of colors.13:40

    • @jackieschomburgart
      @jackieschomburgart  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s definitely doable, but I tend to avoid spray fixatives because I don’t have great ventilation in my studio (small office) and the off-gassing tends to give me headaches. I could have used a small paint brush to apply the medium, following the crayon lines and it would have worked better. For whatever reason, I tend to stick with the color shaper even though I know if might smear a bit. It builds character 🤣

    • @BirdieB12
      @BirdieB12 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jackieschomburgart that is totally understandable,and perfect. I am so with you regarding the shapers and the smearing, it adds a element that we normally do not achieve with brushes leaving the unexpected delights fir us to work with.🪽🎨🤍🎨🪽
