I was not expecting this movie to get into Airplane! levels of silly parody, but every time it did it had me cracking up. And having seen many Blaxploitation films prior, well this movie just nailed it.

In the black dynamite cartoon Michael white had a great line, if they ever was to make a black super hero they probly just make him a hell spawn, comeing from him I found that hilarous

This is laughing tears level 10 if you are old enough to remember or are familiar with 70's black movies. The accuracy down to the bad production values and editing is what takes it over the top for me.

Black Dynamite is a total homage to 70's Blaxploitation movies. Even going as far as shooting on Super 16mm film, hence the over-saturated colors and the high contrast in many scenes. It's a great film. I was a little less-impressed with The Outlaw Johnny Black. Maybe I was expecting a send-up of Blazing Saddles.... it's a good movie, but a far cry from Black Dynamite. Hopefully, MJW will do a real Black Dynamite 2.

No, malt liquor is pretty bad. We used to drink it in college because you could get a 40 ounce for 2 dollars, so it was good for getting drunk on a budget.
