This is one of those rare birds that I call a "perfect movie". Every frame has purpose. I can honestly say with no hyperbole that Black Dynamite is the best parody movie ever made.
You said it perfectly
It's a fantastic film without knowing anything It's parodying
My man I loved your zombi pfp, I'm an 70s fan and I already saw you 2 times in black dynamite videos, as always, Man of culture right there
@@behelit1997 haha right on, man! You're clearly also a man of culture. Let's educate these young whipper-snappers about good movies!🤣
@@deraykrause4517 hell yeah, learned this film from Grindhouse Releasing with double feature The Beyond in 1983 in my local cinema
Black Dynamite is so underrated and the follow up animated series is gloriously hilarious.
Animated series is gold!! Mr Rodgers Revenge & Just Beat It are way too funny
This is the movie that first got me into kung fu treachery.
A perfect film.
That fucking stuntman gag, still, to this day...
Capt Kangaroo pimp was freakin hilarious!! Love this movie
captain Kangaroo was hilarious... cus when u think about it.. HE DID DRESS LIKE A PIMP
Danny devito Menacingly standing in the background is everything to me.
Blaxploitation movies are a forgotten genre and MJW did a stellar job. The Outlaw Johnny Black drops later this year. More please. 😊
You have to understand the blaxploitation genre to get all these jokes
Yep, so many jokes flew over their heads. lol
Thank you so much for reacting to this. This film is way too underrated and way too hilarious
Im glad yall used that thumbnail. That picture of cream corn is one of the hidden gems ofnthis hidden gem of a movie
There were no Blaxploitation movies in the '60s. They were totally confined to the '70s.
In my top 10 films ever.
As soon as they mentioned greek mythology I was like, Allison has to make a Percy Jackson referance. Allison, please make a Percy Jackson referance. Allison made a Percy Jackson refecrance!!
If yall haven't checked our the last dragon it's a classic
3:36 why is it that my head canon instantly has her jump out from behind the bushes outside the house and saying that, pointing at the FBI dudes
One of the theaters was in Moultrie ga. I had a friend that worked that theater when it came out
Chocolate Giddy Up needs a solo movie.
Why do I feel like Joey is the one thing missing from this group? He would fit in so well. I miss him.
Truuue! He's a really fun person to watch movies with. Gives great commentary. Plus he'd probably get along really well with this group. Problem is, I'm currently 400 miles from home sooo
I subscribed off of Jon/John joining and automatically being into the movie 😂. Of course, my favorite scene is right before he showed up, and the extra gets changed.😮 Muthafucca! 😂
Man I love this movie so much
I like that you had someone there who had seen it before to notice a lot of the little things. There was stuff I hadn't noticed until my 3rd and 4th viewing.
One of the funniest movies ever made along with Galaxy Quest and Holy Grail.
It's not as good as Black Dynamite, but on a similar note there's the movie Undercover Brother.
Spiritual sequel coming in outlaw Johnny black
I saw it in one out of those 70 theaters, it was a small theater and it was one of the best movie experiences ever. A great mixed lively crowd hyped and really into with it (some even dressing the part) with non stop laughter. Glad to see you guys enjoy it.
That sounds so fun!
It might be too far back to remember now, but was the theatrical cut you saw the original Sundance Cut? There's a few key differences (the "Cleaning up The Streets" montage is completely different, you don't see them kill Gunsmoke, etc)?
@@KyleS3m3noff Oh very interesting! You have me thinking I saw the Sundance Cut specifically because I never remember seeing Gunsmoke be taken out. I think the multiple zoom ins of the micro pee pee is either the reason why but maybe I saw the other version. I've rewatched this movie so many times but when you said it, I actually had to look up them shooting him because in my mind they didn't.
@rashb3994 yeah, it never got a cinema release in AUS (or if it did, even the few of us waiting for it never noticed), so the first time I saw it was a DVD rip I obtained by raising the black and setting sail. Once the blu ray was released and I bought that, the changes really threw me off. I have guarded that old DVD rip with my life ever since, because it seems the original version is otherwise lost to time.
Such a good movie...its one I wish I could watch for the first time all over again
I'm glad people are finally starting to appreciate this movie. A lot of the humor just goes straight over people's heads. They FINALLY released the spiritual sequel "The Outlaw Johnny Black" which started filming in 2018!!
Hahahahahahaha just subscribed notifications bell on!!!
😂😂 I agree, “VelociPastor” is amazing
Loving these movie reactions
"I've heard so many things about this"
Me: Well I haven't! :D
This movie was based on the Blaxploitation film called DOLEMITE which was made in the 1970's starring Rudy Ray Moore. It's rather risque, but is considered a "Cult Classic".
P. S. I LOVE how enthused Cody was throughout the whole movie. He made me laugh A LOT. 😆😂😆😂
It's not based on one particular film dolemite isn't the only influence you foxy brown, the mack, Coffy, superfly, shaft, blacula
Though it's influenced by the total genre itself, the closest connection to a specific reference is based on the actor Jim Kelly, since he was an actual Black martial artist who made Blaxpoitation films like Black Belt Jones, and was also a main character in Bruce Lee's iconic "Enter the Dragon".
a HEAVY influence is "Willie Dynamite", starring Roscoe Orman/Gordon as the title character...GLORIOUS film in all the best/worst ways...The Pimp's Conference and fly wardrobe are direct influences on BD.
4:30 Aah, they skipped the fake "Chinese" stuff.
It’s called the Afrodisciac Zodiac Sign, it’s your sign’s signature position 😂😂😂😂
this movie is hilarious!!!
The music is by my friend adrian younge
That's awesome!
The thumbnail is my pfp lol
I shushed the screen several times. :D
That's why they call me that. Smooth...
you dont need to censor every little thing,
Great move
And the upcoming sequel...th-cam.com/video/OtN_CAfcYVo/w-d-xo.html
They cut out the "like some cartoon shit" bit...the casual racism of that era . Was it not well received?
They talk too much and over each other
great movie but yall are cringe af
You guys need to stop talking over the funny lines
Missing alot 😂😂😂
You guy's talk to much
