There were two moments in the movie Which were not told here.
    1. When Grisha noticed red modern underwear on Lisa, she quickly took it off and hid it in the hay. So when he attacked her he had a chance to see that she indeed was not wearing any underwear... That's why he came to apologize to her.
    2. Grisha was told that he is 1860. Mongolian Igo happened centuries before, but the acting team decided to try anyway hoping he is too stupid to actually know it from history lessons. To their big surprise he remembered it but in all rush he got confused and just followed his new friends.

Here in southern South Dakota/northern Nebraska, the nearest airport (airliner at least) is an hour and a half away from my town, and we don't get many at all. With the land features around (lakes, rivers, hills, cows and farms, etc.), I have a feeling that someone could DEFINITELY pull this off around my area no problem. I'm surprised that Pavel didn't televise the whole operation to earn a profit from his expenses like they did in the Truman Show, as I think it would be logical and interesting. Maybe Grisha could have discovered that the whole setup was fake by watching himself on TV after he was released.

I think the difference is that Pavel was doing this to try to help his son and even Lev is motivated more by the project and his passion for sfx than profit. Plus televising it defeats the entire purpose of rehabilitation; the motivation to keep these brats struggling is far too strong bc in reality tv failure is more entertaining than redemption.

They have similarities in their plot, but they convey very different meanings. In Truman's Show it's more about the protagonist who's already a good person becoming brave enough to escape his boring life. While in this movie it's more about a spoiled ("bad") protagonist falling in love and enduring hardships which in the end make him a better person in general.

The irony of this whole situation is that despite having been “rehabilitated”, the fact that he’s a rich spoiled kid still saved him from facing any real consequences. Instead of going to prison, he got taught humility, to be grateful for what he has, and fall in love. Poor criminals wouldn’t have nearly the same opportunity, they’d just get raped in a prison cell for months or years and come out worse than they were before and with a criminal record to boot. So in the end did he actually change that much, on a deeper level?

It'll depend on specifically which code of nobility you're talking about. There's not really any one specific standard.
One of the old standards is about absolutely refusing to be subjugated. The death before dishonour mentality that spawned the infamous dueling culture in the 17th and 18th century.
Given how quickly he was willing to fall in line when he didn't have the upper hand, he would fail to live up to that standard of nobility.
By those standards, a true gentleman would have chosen to die in the fight he knows that he'll lose than allow himself to be disgraced.
