I've watched the ending. It doesn't end with them donating nothing. They instead spend the entire night trying to come up with a detailed account of how much they need. Just as they are about to donate, the wife suddenly thinks "Oh no! What if we have another child!" and the accounting process continues

The best part of watching Brewster's Millions remakes is the perfect encapsulation of inflation. The first one I saw - the third remake in 1935 - the challenge was £500,000 in 60 days. By 1985 Richard Pryor was in like the 7th or 8th remake, and by then it was $30,000,000 in 30 days. This looks like a beat-for-beat remake of the Richard Pryor film.

This movie seems to reiterate the power of compounding interests as seen in generational wealth. And how the wealthy don't have to work as hard as the poor. It's actually difficult to lose everything quickly. Sure, over a long period of time, you can lose it all. It's not as easy as it looks.

I love how this is exactly the plot and story of Brewster's Millions, an amazing classic. I'm not surprised they ripped off an awesome movie like that one. Yes he's a soccer player, not baseball like Brewster, but those are minor details.

Based on the 1902* book Brewster's Millions. Which was adapted some 6 times to theater and film. Last US was 1985.
The thing with this channel is that he uses the same voice and background track for every issue, making people think that every film is just as serious as the last. But I think the visuals in this film make it obvious that it's just a rom-com made for laughs and the ending isn't necessarily some sad social commentary but just an ironic twist added for laughs.

Well inheritance for kids. Investments that can help me have fairly continuous stream of income for which I could use to fund libraries, schools, and facilities that will train people. That way I can help develop people with specialize skills that can help them become self-sufficient and contribute to their supporting themselves, families they may decide themselves, and their global economy.
