im not even from canada or america but i watched every single canada season up until 10 and i was so excited for 11... then they dropped the live feeds and now i couldnt care less about the show
You know that had to do that because of the hate speech laws and how hard it was for the house guests to constantly have to call people they them outside of the diary room. Even in the live finally the houseguest that come back end up saying she her on accident when they're asked questions. As long as those laws exist they'll never bring back live feeds because contestants will be accidently breaking the law by mixing up nonbianry pronouns. You can tell production helps them with that in their confessions, but they can't keep that up on their own in the house, so they can't show it live.
It's a result of the toxic fanbase attacking the houseguests for every word they utter in the house. The best part about the game was seeing the houseguests be raw and authentic, but that's an impossibility now because advocates of cancel culture are so trigger happy.
The way I was always so much more excited for BBCAN over the US version because it just screamed MONEY. The house was more unique, the twists were more dynamic and less faulty, the host had more personality, it overall just was more fun and exciting to watch. Even the eviction episodes seemed so much more hype. Now it just feels lame

The sponsors are what makes the show possible. Also, their production value is much higher than the US version. Sometimes I feel like they could do a bit better casting, there's so much opportunity to take advantage of being creative with the air time.
Fun fact: theres a reality show called “BBB” which stands for Big Brother Brasil. Its basically Big Brother Canada, except its in Brasil. My mom loves watching it.
I made it to episode 4 and it became about race and that was it for me...never watched anymore! Yes it would be 'terrible" if anyone white said and did those things and NOBODY should be doing that. It is also wrong to literally evict people for being of a certain race and keeping/working with anyone JUST because of their race, even if you do not like or trust them. What gets me the most is if anyone says "hmm, do you think their is an alliance based on race then THEY would be the racist...even though it is true! So done with both big brother and big brother canada.
I wish that Big Brother Canada switched networks. Global really isn't respecting the format anymore. (Although that would mean that Big Brother US would need to switch networks as well, as it airs on Global here in Canada.)

Canada as a whole is in struggle mode rn financially i think the only way this show can get back to what it was is if they sold it to another network like Netflix or Amazon
I preface this by saying I’m an American, and I want to make clear that the worst season of BB Can is still better than 90% of all seasons of BB America. Canada has better production values, the house is far more interesting to look at, the casting for most of the seasons was great, and the producers are just way more creative than the dreck we get in America. One more point: Arisa Cox is a million times better as a host than Julie Chen Moonves. Now I get that there is a segment of both the American and Canadian viewership that loves the live feeds and going on social media to gab about what they saw there, and I understand the disappointment, even if I can’t relate to it, because I just never have time to go on there, but that is really only a small segment of the viewing audience. I’m sure that the majority of people who watch BB, weren’t watching the live feeds. I agree that it’s a bummer to cut that for the diehard loyal fans who are into that, so I do have sympathy for it, but I just really want to hammer home the fact that you have a far superior show up there in Canada. Out of the 10 seasons that were completed, maybe two of them were sub-par. The rest of them are up there with the very best we have had in America. So I hope that BB Can lives on!!
looks like they have followed the australian format, which really sucked last season, a few seasons prior to that it was actually decent with a house full of quite varied people from many different ages and backgrounds, it made it a lot more relatable rather then having all these cardboard cutout model wannabes and "alpha male" posers lol

To the producers of BBCAN, having a record 11 sponsors this season is likely seen as a win since their decision to erase the live feeds has led to more sponsors coming on board. Sponsors is all they ever cared about and it's so sad.
Guess my family in Washington state & I are the only one still in love with the show no matter what. That means this season 12 we will enjoy to the max since assuming no one else cares it will be the last of Canada. So sad to hear no one cares for it anyone but I will always follow and love it no matter what. Thanks for the great content.
BBcan10 was the best season I ever watched live, only been watching big brother since 2019. Seeing Kevin’s gameplay live was awesome. Twitter was so fun. If feeds aren’t there it’s just not the same, may aswell pretape the show and make a better story and edit if there are no feeds

Just like the American BB the producers of BB Canada have allowed racist behavior to be allowed ( brown girl alliance ) without intervening. If someone declared a White alliance there would be outrage everywhere. My heart sank when I saw those girls talking about having someone from their race win. The producers of BB Canada live in their own little bubble and don't get that allowing behavior like that ruins the show for half their viewers. It certainly ruined it for me as i don't want to see people getting voted out because of their skin colour.

on Shannon’s podcast she was criticizing Jaden’s move in the most recent episode of Australian Survivor. So Jaden had heard about it or listened to the podcast and posted on his Instagram calling out Shannon and basically telling her she has no idea what she was talking about. That led to a majority of Jaden’s fans going to Shannon’s account and hating on her, trashing her appearance etc.
Shannon was on a podcast with George. She was mad that Jaden booted Eden but George reminded her that Eden wasn't showing Jaden basic respect,which in Survivor is important. Then Shannon essentially disagreed that Jaden deserved respect . She was also on another podcast calling Jaden stupid (again she was an Eden fan cuz he's a super fan) . She also imitated his way of talking and some took that as micro aggression . Jaden called her out on his insta story. Shannon & RHAP started defending themselves (David even called Jaden an asshole) They were calling him a baby for being pissed that she criticised his game play when it was obviously not what he was mad about. The situation got bad and RHAP fans started dragging Jaden . Shannon had posted a screenshot of some of the messages she had received after Jaden called her out and they were mostly on her appearance. Mike Bloom apologized on twitter for doing the thing the criticized Jaden for (aka sending him hate) . Shannon claimed she had send Jaden an apology but we haven't seen it.

One year some ungodly expensive robot arm thing came out the wall as part of ONE episode to give a guy a card and then was never used again. 200 000$ should have been the prize for season 2!!! BB used to be authentic - that was what drew people in. Now it's inauthentic - especially the diary rooms. It's overproduced and the players can't speak freely without fear of being targeted by fans. Production has weakened the game's appeal, but the fans have ruined it.
It’s sad to watch this downward spiral of BBCAN. Even though I’m not Canadian, like many viewers, I found a way to watch. Sure there have been some controversial incidents or twists (still mad how Mitch got screwed in BBCAN4), but overall I have so many good things to say about every season (except S8, S11 & nor S12). I LOVED posting updates & opinions on Twitter and engaging with other passionate fans. Now the show & fandom are so lifeless.
Big Brother Canada has definitely had its peaks and valleys. Peaks for me were 2, 5, 7, 9, and 10. And even seasons like 1 and 3 had their moments. But since BBC10 ended, there’s been something lacking. And I’m not talking about the live feeds either.
It’s rough to see BBCAN go down this route ever since their controversial expungement of the feeds and replacing with the digital dailies. It’s what deteriorated its fanbase to where I even had an absurd experience with BBCAN11 and I’m having an even LOWER enjoyment with the current one right now, BBCAN12. It’s a shame to watch has happened with the current state of BBCAN.

Revisiting this video in June 2024 after BBCAN went on hiatus. Even with BBCAN12's messy and exciting gameplay, the writing was on the wall. Digital Dailies are just too hollow. And I hate to say it, but I do believe BBUS is just one unlikable cast away from following BBCAN's decisions. If BB26 turns into another BB21 or a BB24, I think this may be it. X_X
Honestly BB Can was always overrated. After season 3/4 when they stopped doing HoH comps on eviction episodes it was clear production was not understanding the assignment. As far as feeds go it sucks but I don't blame the, its the toxic fans that did it.

BBCAN5 and BBCAN10 are some of my favorite seasons of North American Big Brother, up there with early BBUS seasons, if not better. I have always thought BBCAN’s format allows for much better and more entertaining gameplay. Recently I looked forward to watching it more than BBUS. However, I have 0 interest in the show now and couldn’t name 1 person from the last season. I think I tried to watch one episode of the Digital Dailies last season and it just felt incredibly dull. I agree BBCAN’s best days are behind them. The show willl likely be cancelled after this season.
Bbcan literally had 2 amazing top tier seasons back to back with bbcan9 and bbcan10, they dropped the ball so much with season 11 and now i have no faith in bbcan12 Bbcan11 was just very underwhelming, both because of the feeds and the season just being frustrating. BBCAN is so much better than BBUS, live feeds or not. Literally the fact that there are no live feeds just makes is so the crazy live feeders can GO OUTSIDE. I get that it's the whole point of the show, but it doesn't change the gameplay and it's still Big Brother. Last season was REALLY good despite no live feeds and so much that they couldn't even control going wrong. The Canadian version of this show has had better seasons, casts, entertainment and gameplay then the past like 10 seasons of BBUS. I genuinely feel like the super fans are just mad that they won't have a hobby for the next 3 months, it's honestly embarrassing.
As someone who is neither black or white, i was legit excited when they announced the show was going to be more diverse. Except BBCAN productions definition of diversity was to make the casts 50% black that did not reflect the reality of any city in Canada. If anything, BBCAN got a lot less representative than previous seasons because where were the Asians, South Asians, Middle Eastern and Latin people? Remember BBCAN9 had that cringey "representation reel" in the finale that celebrated all the black contestant but completely omitted Rohans existence as a South Asian? Its important to note the ratings dropped 22% in Season 9 over the previous season after this change. The show lost 1/4 of their viewers overnight in Season 9 so its really important to go back there and see what they did wrong. The shows ratings continued dropping until they were well under 1 million in Season 12. Like how were there 0 Asians and 0 Middle Eastern people in Season 12? Tola was there only as a replacement castmember. The show was accused of anti black racism in Season 8, but they overcompensated by flooding the casts with black people. The viewers were simply not interested in watching race wars. For instance in Season 12 when Avery said "Theres too many marshmellows in this Hot Chocolate" and unsurprisingly the white castmembers were plucked off one by one prejury. I was completely disgusted and tuned out at that point. Even Anthonys finale decision to bring Bailey to final 2 was based on race, his misguided belief that the jury would vote for him solely because he was the sole remaining black Hot Chocolate person and not that white lady. I hate that this style of gameplay made its way into the game and allowed it to corrode the show. I miss the old BBCAN seasons where race never even crossed the mind. In general, the show literally went woke and went broke. If you say youre bringing diversity, then bring true diversity. They gave us white vs black and that token whatever. People blamed the lack of live feeds for the show ending/ losing viewers. But no. The decline of BBCAN began in Season 9 when the show lost 22% of its viewers overnight. Its a no brainer why.

Honestly, I'm gonna need everybody who says no feeds is gonna kill BBCan to take a look at the ratings. Last season literally averaged almost a million viewers, the first full season since season 7 to do so. Numbers are up, there's no reason they would reverse the change that lead to higher ratings. Also, look at other countries... The UK version hasn't had consistent live feeds since 2012 and it's still going fine, Germany just got live feeds back for the first time in 7 years, Australia literally films the show ahead of time now, and all of those versions are still doing fine. This is not the end of the world, I promise.

BBCan 4 was such a great season, my first BB season I watched

One year some ungodly expensive robot arm thing came out the wall as part of ONE episode to give a guy a card and then was never used again. 200 000$ should have been the prize for season 2!!! BB used to be authentic - that was what drew people in. Now it's inauthentic - especially the diary rooms. It's overproduced and the players can't speak freely without fear of being targeted by fans.
Production has weakened the game's appeal, but the fans have ruined it.
It’s sad to watch this downward spiral of BBCAN. Even though I’m not Canadian, like many viewers, I found a way to watch. Sure there have been some controversial incidents or twists (still mad how Mitch got screwed in BBCAN4), but overall I have so many good things to say about every season (except S8, S11 & nor S12). I LOVED posting updates & opinions on Twitter and engaging with other passionate fans. Now the show & fandom are so lifeless.
Big Brother Canada has definitely had its peaks and valleys. Peaks for me were 2, 5, 7, 9, and 10. And even seasons like 1 and 3 had their moments. But since BBC10 ended, there’s been something lacking. And I’m not talking about the live feeds either.

It’s rough to see BBCAN go down this route ever since their controversial expungement of the feeds and replacing with the digital dailies. It’s what deteriorated its fanbase to where I even had an absurd experience with BBCAN11 and I’m having an even LOWER enjoyment with the current one right now, BBCAN12. It’s a shame to watch has happened with the current state of BBCAN.

Revisiting this video in June 2024 after BBCAN went on hiatus. Even with BBCAN12's messy and exciting gameplay, the writing was on the wall. Digital Dailies are just too hollow.
And I hate to say it, but I do believe BBUS is just one unlikable cast away from following BBCAN's decisions. If BB26 turns into another BB21 or a BB24, I think this may be it. X_X

Watched the first season, it had a crap host, crap houseguests, and most of all CRAP production. Never watched another season.
Honestly BB Can was always overrated. After season 3/4 when they stopped doing HoH comps on eviction episodes it was clear production was not understanding the assignment. As far as feeds go it sucks but I don't blame the, its the toxic fans that did it.

BBCAN5 and BBCAN10 are some of my favorite seasons of North American Big Brother, up there with early BBUS seasons, if not better. I have always thought BBCAN’s format allows for much better and more entertaining gameplay. Recently I looked forward to watching it more than BBUS. However, I have 0 interest in the show now and couldn’t name 1 person from the last season. I think I tried to watch one episode of the Digital Dailies last season and it just felt incredibly dull. I agree BBCAN’s best days are behind them. The show willl likely be cancelled after this season.
Bbcan literally had 2 amazing top tier seasons back to back with bbcan9 and bbcan10, they dropped the ball so much with season 11 and now i have no faith in bbcan12
Bbcan11 was just very underwhelming, both because of the feeds and the season just being frustrating. Looking at rhe cast of bbcan12, it looks ai generated and even worse than the bbcan11 cast

BBCAN is so much better than BBUS, live feeds or not. Literally the fact that there are no live feeds just makes is so the crazy live feeders can GO OUTSIDE. I get that it's the whole point of the show, but it doesn't change the gameplay and it's still Big Brother. Last season was REALLY good despite no live feeds and so much that they couldn't even control going wrong. The Canadian version of this show has had better seasons, casts, entertainment and gameplay then the past like 10 seasons of BBUS. I genuinely feel like the super fans are just mad that they won't have a hobby for the next 3 months, it's honestly embarrassing.
As someone who is neither black or white, i was legit excited when they announced the show was going to be more diverse. Except BBCAN productions definition of diversity was to make the casts 50% black that did not reflect the reality of any city in Canada. If anything, BBCAN got a lot less representative than previous seasons because where were the Asians, South Asians, Middle Eastern and Latin people? Remember BBCAN9 had that cringey "representation reel" in the finale that celebrated all the black contestant but completely omitted Rohans existence as a South Asian?
Its important to note the ratings dropped 22% in Season 9 over the previous season after this change. The show lost 1/4 of their viewers overnight in Season 9 so its really important to go back there and see what they did wrong. The shows ratings continued dropping until they were well under 1 million in Season 12. Like how were there 0 Asians and 0 Middle Eastern people in Season 12? Tola was there only as a replacement castmember.
The show was accused of anti black racism in Season 8, but they overcompensated by flooding the casts with black people. The viewers were simply not interested in watching race wars. For instance in Season 12 when Avery said "Theres too many marshmellows in this Hot Chocolate" and unsurprisingly the white castmembers were plucked off one by one prejury. I was completely disgusted and tuned out at that point. Even Anthonys finale decision to bring Bailey to final 2 was based on race, his misguided belief that the jury would vote for him solely because he was the sole remaining black Hot Chocolate person and not that white lady. I hate that this style of gameplay made its way into the game and allowed it to corrode the show.
I miss the old BBCAN seasons where race never even crossed the mind.
In general, the show literally went woke and went broke. If you say youre bringing diversity, then bring true diversity. They gave us white vs black and that token whatever.
People blamed the lack of live feeds for the show ending/ losing viewers. But no. The decline of BBCAN began in Season 9 when the show lost 22% of its viewers overnight. Its a no brainer why.

Honestly, I'm gonna need everybody who says no feeds is gonna kill BBCan to take a look at the ratings. Last season literally averaged almost a million viewers, the first full season since season 7 to do so. Numbers are up, there's no reason they would reverse the change that lead to higher ratings. Also, look at other countries... The UK version hasn't had consistent live feeds since 2012 and it's still going fine, Germany just got live feeds back for the first time in 7 years, Australia literally films the show ahead of time now, and all of those versions are still doing fine. This is not the end of the world, I promise.
This video just sounds whiny. They're obviously not doing an all stars cause the ratings just aren't there. Besides the winner I loved bbcan11. The show itself is miles better than the USA one, besides that WE GET IT YOU WANT LIVE FEEDS BACK.
