  • Megan And I went out to catch NS 047 The James E Strates Fair train Coming into Augusta Ga For the Georgia Carolina State Fair. The train is seen coming down 6th street while on its last leg of it journey. NS brings it in and the will transfer the train to CSX while the fair is in town.

yup, I use to love playing Raleigh but Strates lost that spot to powers, I cant wait to go on the road with them again this year, I missed out for about 15 years due to school and such, but now Im free to go back at 22, my family and I love strates and he remembers our family after working with them for 4-5 years, where I basically was born into the show.

Don't they have crossing guards around that track in town? I see people driving right in front of a moving train to get to the other side. That's crazy! Looks like they'd have better sense than to drive in front of a train like that, regardless if it is slow. Strates Shows sets up their rides at County Fairs and large Fairs like State Fairs up & down the east coast. They used to set up at Raleigh, NC in October, until someone got greedy (dirty $ under the table) & ruined it for Strates. :(

Oh ok, gotcha. I thought it was dirty money under the table the whole time lol. In a way, I'm glad Powers has the midway as they have a Sky Diver. :) Strates had one, but sold it. Anyone know who bought theirs by any chance?

wrong, they got outbid and lost the contract, my family has done business with strates for over 5 years, and are going back this year, we lost that spot to powers midways, but it is ok we still have Syracuse NY, and a few other great spots down the east coast especially in North Carolina.
