As a SAFFA obviously happy our Boks won. After our Boks I will always cheer for the AB's, huge fan, so are many SAFFA's. Tough to see them going through this period, hang in there. Would love to see them back as our no 1 opposition.
Yes, sometimes reality bites when we are down. We came to play and was outsmarted. I thought Malcolm Marx was immense. My player of the game with his 4 crucial turnover penalties. Those moments win games. Congrats.
As a Bok supporter I share your sentiments, although I still think ABs are our no 1 opposition and will be for many more years. NZ Rugby has too much talent at every level, they will resurrect soon - I assure you. Just read the comments here - the NZ public is demanding change and they'll get it soon. Even if NZ loses 10 games in a row they'll be our no 1 opposition and always the best game to watch. There's too much history, too many epic clashes that have happened - a bad patch for NZ won't change that. Also, never forget that the Boks went through their worst patch ever 2015-2018; losing to Japan, Italy, Scotland and all the others (and 57-0!) and for the most part NZ supporters were offering positive messages and still making us heartbroken Saffa supporters feel part of it. NZ will always be our no 1 foe, and also leaders in how the game should be played (not right now, but if you look back at the last 25 years of rugby)
It’s so true. As a South African I always support the All blacks against everyone else. I was gutted when they lost to Ireland recently. I am a Springbok first but definitely an All black after that.
Clarke v Willemse! That was one of the greatest try saving tackles I've seen. Unlucky Pollard couldn't pull Frizzell down and they ended up scoring anyway
Possession rugby by the Saffas was class! I think this is ‘El Classico’ of the rugby world and it didn’t disappoint - as an Aussie, I know that the AB’s have depth. Certain changes are needed, but the Saffas were just too good on the night.
2 of the greatest teams ever to play the great art of rugby. Victory to both teams. Beautiful anthems, crowd outstanding and great calls from refs. Gold standard game of all time.
that may have been the most comprehensive klap the ABs have ever received - Bokke and crowd were inspiring- and never heard so much reaching from the NZ commentators - Amm is brilliant hope Faf ok 👌
@FootballFanGGMU I would rather lose to an exceptional AB team then watch you guys get beaten by Ireland again😂 It was great to win, but we can all see the ABs are not playing for Foster
AB fans should be happy, Foster said that this was their best game of the year and a huge improvement during the post match interview. Things are looking up for NZRU!
@@twistedgamer9167 well beat yes but hardly a slaughtering. The AB's have scored 50 points against the Boks 3 x, one of them was 57-0, now that's what you call a slaughtering.
As a Saffa, I have the utmost respect for the AB’s and the great rivalry we share. But man changes are needed with the AB’s. I’ve never seen a AB team be so poor at the basics, it appears they lacking confidence perhaps? Front Row needs some working on, because IMO that’s where you guys are getting beat quite often these days. Most of your loses last year and this year is because you failed to compete upfront and at the breakdown and not being able to deal with the rush defence that teams apply on you. Also, back line looking very flat? Think you guys could improve on your centre combo. That being said I really am empathetic towards the AB’s, was not too long ago when the Boks where in this position and we ranked 7th in the world. I firmly believe the AB’s will bounce back though, but changes need to happen and soon before it’s too late for the changes to have an affect before the WC. Much respect from 🇿🇦
Our head coach has picked the worst front rows possible for the last month now I truly don't understand his logic. All Blacks weren't clinical tonight but the Bokkes weren't great either, they slipped off a lot of tackles the few times the ABs had the ball and their only game plan seemed to be to put up the high kick and flood the area of contest probably legally but those rules might have to be looked at, which is how they scored and how they gained most of their territory, I will say the kicks themselves were bloody accurate though so credit to Pollard but I wouldn't be that happy if I was a boks fan. Refs definitely need to look at how the spring boks flooded the contestable area of kicks and how that winger of theirs had no regard for anyone's safety when he'd just run in full speed without looking at the other contester, he definitely got what he deserved although its pretty savage to say. With the right selections and the right coach I think the ABs will be okay. Well played to the Boks though no question they are the much better team and showed that tonight.
Id say the ABs problem has more to do with SA leaving super rugby than anything else, lack of having played decent competition compared to the Northern Teams and SA. You are only as good as your competition and ABs are sitting right alongside Australia in 5-6th place.
@@SnowPyramid I’d say it was more their confidence levels and that’s evident in the lack of basic skills. Last year they were competitive against the Boks….this year they have been woeful. I know that it’s not all the coach and the captains faults, the players need to be accountable but fixing a problem always starts at the top. The rotational policy, the chopping and changing of players and playing them out of position all undermine players and dent their confidence. That’s what I saw in this game against the Boks, school boy errors. What is it going to take to initiate change? A loss at Eden Park? Goodbye to the Bledisloe Cup? Well I can see more pain coming u til someone, the powers that be, own up to this shambles and does something about it.
From an Australian, I loved that SAFA crowd!, brilliant atmosphere that our rugby lacks right now. ABs are not the force they once were, however I think they will get back.
Am is pure class! That tackle from willimse though, absolutely inspiring it’s moments like that that make other players step up, classy performance from the boks

Bok supporter here. Five losses in six from the ABs does feel like another universe. The Boks have been there as well - barely five years ago there were consecutive 50+ drubbings. That's freakin' dark places let me tell you. I've got no doubt the ABs will bounce back. It seems like they lack a bit of confidence. Well, and game time against the Boks. Losing the SA teams out of Super Rugby has not allowed this group to know what it's like to absorb that kind of physicality for 80mins.

Foster surely must be handing in his notice as we speak...If you recall his piece to camera a few days ago espousing that he will do anything for the betterment of this team. Surely that would mean him handing in his resignation and forgoing any financial contractual commitments he has with the NZRFU and saving the organisation a few hundred thousand dollars ...Lets see how authentic Ian really is to himself and the New Zealand Rugby public, lets see if he can really bow out with some credibility to his name or will his actions truly identify a man whose words often rang hollow and never materialised into anything tangible. I can't agree more. The All blacks is not about your career or pay day it's about national pride and duty. Your there because your the best the nation has to offer and if you can't deliver you resign. I think it is very arrogant of Ian Foster to hold such a position and just run the nation team into the ground, especially when have a coach who is by far more successful and qualified.

Ouch. That was a bit of a rugby lesson in all aspects of the game. All Blacks' biggest drawback is definitely their inexperienced front row. And why Malcolm Marx doesn't start every game is beyond me. He must have the best turn-over stats in world rugby. Let alone his accurate line-outs and sheer power.
@@troyb1278 True, but my theory is to lay a good foundation and score at the start. This takes pressure off the subs and you can play Marx for more than 40 minutes. Boks mostly trail at half time.

You can mock the hairstyles but not the traditional tribal Maori tattoos bro. Not cool. Also, Lomu had a Ronaldo-like (Brazilian) haircut in the 90s and none said anything about it. So, different haircuts are not new to rugby.
You guys must be joking. As a South African, I tell you the willie is absolutely KAK & should have retired after the 2019 rwc. He's lucky to still be on the bench. His try was pure opportunistic / luck.
Chill brother. You are in your feelings now . Le Roux style of play is what's keeping him there. Willemse is learning a lot from him. Sometimes impersonation is a process. You are so negative look at the bright side mate
Watched a movie which portrayed the beginning of the Spring Boks, bloody brilliant and their coach (an Irishman) way back then took them to a win against the English. Decent coaches certainly make the difference for winning, losing or just putting up a decent battle, the "Chief" for this one didn't/hasn't made the grade. Well done the Boks, deserved.
What film was that if you don’t mind me asking? I’d love to see it. Another interesting bit of history: the Currie Cup (South Africa’s provincial tournament and incidentally the oldest rugby tournament in the world) gets its name from a Scottish merchant named Sir Donald Currie, who gave a golden cup to the British team and told them to give it to the South African team that showed the most heart. From that point on, the South African provincial teams played over the rights to hold this cup. Another pretty cool link to Britain.
Bottoms to the ref. Never watched a match where the ref was strait forward, concistent and in a way, just in the background like all good refs should be.
My thoughts as well. It's also kudos to both teams that the referee did not feel the need to interfere. It's strange because there were still a handful of 50/50 calls although mostly consistent (small majority went Boks way which you expect given home advantage). Also little need for the TMO to get involved which was refreshing. No post-match video analysis required...😉
i totally agree but does anyone know why that first pen for the ab's was awarded?? it was sa put in at the scrum, they won the scrum and fed it backwards to first receiver who was called for offside....im at a total loss

Chile qualifying for the first time etc.. this could be the best tournament ever.
As an AB supporter, I want to see them lose as many times as they need to for NZRU to realize that we need changes. I am slowly losing faith in the team as is a lot of other fans I'm sure of it. Marx was in beast mode, but for different reasons Am is also arguably in beast mode. What a player
Congrats.
really love south african supporters! you guys are super cool
Also, never forget that the Boks went through their worst patch ever 2015-2018; losing to Japan, Italy, Scotland and all the others (and 57-0!)
and for the most part NZ supporters were offering positive messages and still making us heartbroken Saffa supporters feel part of it. NZ will always be our no 1 foe, and also leaders in how the game should be played
(not right now, but if you look back at the last 25 years of rugby)
It’s so true. As a South African I always support the All blacks against everyone else. I was gutted when they lost to Ireland recently. I am a Springbok first but definitely an All black after that.
Clarke v Willemse! That was one of the greatest try saving tackles I've seen. Unlucky Pollard couldn't pull Frizzell down and they ended up scoring anyway
Like a cheetah catching a gazelle. Superb athleticism.
Great tackle, Clarke looked in for sure!
Frizzel actually also bumped Pollard seconds earlier in the that play, had his number
Possession rugby by the Saffas was class! I think this is ‘El Classico’ of the rugby world and it didn’t disappoint - as an Aussie, I know that the AB’s have depth. Certain changes are needed, but the Saffas were just too good on the night.

@@twistedgamer9167 well beat yes but hardly a slaughtering. The AB's have scored 50 points against the Boks 3 x, one of them was 57-0, now that's what you call a slaughtering.
well it can only get better
@@SnowPyramid After seeing the Wallabies pummel the Pumas, I think new lows can be expected

Yes our All Blacks still have work to do. Keep your heads up boy's.
Well done boks
Aaron Smith and faf are great halfback rivals, but respect to Aaron for telling the ref to stop play when he saw faf still on the ground.
Agreed. however the ref anyway had no option to let play go on, since the Bok medic was there in the blink of an eye - kudos to her.
I'm an AB's supporter and this is great for rugby. I'm not gonna lie the 2010's got really boring when we won all the time, I watched the 2 "57 point games" against SA and wasn't even cheering for the AB's it just wasn't fun anymore. I'm excited now that we are gonna have potentially one of the best world cups in a long time where there could be 5 teams that have a realistic shot. Every time, you know who's gonna be in the quarters, the semi's, this time it's all up for grabs, even teams like Georgia showing they could get there one day. Chile qualifying for the first time etc.. this could be the best tournament ever.
Well said. It’s better for the game in general
well done the boks still great rivalry between these two sides great showpiece for rugby loved the springbok fans too
As an AB supporter, I want to see them lose as many times as they need to for NZRU to realize that we need changes. I am slowly losing faith in the team as is a lot of other fans I'm sure of it. I'm tired of hearing that the other team was just a better team. When are we going to facking step up and be that better team.
you have 7 votes from this household on that
ABs are to easy for the other teams to read , been playing the same game for years , time to bring in Razor or don’t even bother going to the rwc
I lost faith in them last year in the Northern tour. They can't even catch or secure a F-king ball - and more than half the time it's not even because of pressure. Just catch the stupid ball.
Need big Changes after 3 test any bets on 3 losses
Dis mos rugby man!!!!! Well done BOKKE!!!!!!
Pollard who cost us dearly last year back to kicking what is expected of him. He cost us dearly against Austtalia and Engksnd lasst year. MALCOLM MARX MUST START HE IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD NO1.
Thank you for showing the match. 💢😀
In this form, sa will win the world cup. Keeping nz and aus to 3 points until the 78th min in each game, mixing up the style and team selection for eoyt and narrowly losing to Ireland and France and destroying england. I'm putting money on the boks in France 2023.
Your name says it all 🤣😂🤣😂
