    • @dons1932
      @dons1932 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, half a lap flat out before it, in typical McLaren style, breaks down with some kind of pseudotronic failure. Good to see Nico give it what for though, and I respect even more he hasn't edited any of this stuff out. It also tried to bite him hard. Twitchy thing, for sure. Doesn't look like it has anywhere the downforce they say (and he expected) it to have. Looks like a bloody handful, that its computers are trying to do all the grip taking and traction instead of the driver. No road car is ever going to match even a half decent race car on slicks with a tame wing and splitter combo.

  • @jameswingrove7421
    @jameswingrove7421 5 ปีที่แล้ว +33

    I think the Senna needs a more open track to really see what it can do, I get the impression it will struggle on tighter, slower circuits...I’d love to see you do a hot lap comparison of more “every day” cars, like the Civic Type R FK8 up against it’s rivals. Maybe even get Mr Häkkinen involved to do some head to head stuff? That would be awesome.

    Nico, I can't overstate how momentous it is to see you drive that car and how much we would love to see you do the same with others. We love cars--these elusive exotics, these supercars, these hypercars--and we want to see them driven to their max. That is hard for us to come by... many journalists will just admit they don't have the skills to push the car to it capability and they placate us with the reminder that we don't either. A few select others become legends of auto journalism because they've done enough in their past to convince us that they do have above-average skills (Tiff, Chris Harris). But with your experience and accomplishments--literally having reached the absolute top; and also knowing that your physical health and age makes it still possible for you to perform at a top level--just seeing you behind the wheel and telling us you are pushing it to the max is absolutely believable. I know you are interested in many other things, and I wish you the best in those endeavors, but I believe (and I'm sure I speak for many others) that your place as a legend of auto journalism is waiting for you to fulfill (and I really think that is your biggest potential audience on TH-cam at this time). It is nothing compared to F1 World Champ, but that is exactly what auto journalism has never had: the proven, absolute best, showing us how it really is with the cars that we all love.

    Forgot to say, I came across your channel as a TH-cam recommendation. Although I've been a fan of Formula 1 since 1973 (Me and my brother were big fans of your Dad), I don't subscribe to any drivers channels. I think it was the Senna link that brought me here. You'll definitely expand your subscribers if you do more videos with cars like these. There's many car enthusiasts, as you know, and we all love the knowledge imparted by people who really know how to drive and how to relate to us mere mortals the behaviour of the car, the hows and whys. Perhaps a Regera, Some Lamborghini, Rimac 2? Anyway, glad to subscribe. Oh and best of all would be to see you drive the VW ID R and the 919 Hybrid

None of us are ever going to get the chance to do it... lol.. it's great to watch you have at it.. and even if the rest of us somehow got a chance.. we'd just wind up in a wall with this kind of machine.. so it's extra awesome to watch someone who really knows to wring the best out of these machines.. great stuff man! It was a great idea to start this channel and yes I enjoyed this track lap content a lot. The feedback on the car and handling at the end was great coming from an F1 Driver perspective. If you want a suggestion, maybe include an entire, clean hotlap without live commentary in one take. Then reflect afterwards. Similar to what was already done!

      Unlike Engine Blocks. Battery Cells do not require high heat combustion processes to manufacture them. Battery Cells can be entirely made with Electricity Power Supply only. Thus it is entirely based on how you generate that Electricity. Combustion Fuel has no possible recycle option. Unlike Lithium Batteries which has 2nd Life Use then after Component Break Down recycling. Zero 0 enviromental footprint is not possible any time soon, but it can be Orders of Magnitude better than combustion.
