Tom, as someone with type 1 diabetes I just want to say I really really appreciate what you're doing. I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 8, I'm now 18, my whole life changed and not in a good way. It really sucked. thanks so much Tom for not being one of those TH-camrs who do it just for money!
+Peppzzii I am also 18 but only found out I had type one diabetes 3 years ago. Its very tuff but the worst part is people thinking it was my fault i got diagnosed. People need to know type 1 and type 2 are completely different to each other. Thanks Tom and hopefully more people will create awareness for it.
Tom. I want to thank you for raising awareness for diabetes. I was diagnosed when I was 12 and it was two days before my birthday. I spend my birthday in hospital also my mum was pregnant with my little sister who is know one. I want to thank you because you are such and inspiration to everyone and your the reason that I make sure that I take control of my diabetes. Tom you a very good and kind hearted person and you deserve the best. Much love lewis
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on this day 3 months ago and it nearly ended my life. I was placed in the hospital for almost a week since the Diabetes caused my body to lose a lot of weight so I began watching TH-cam during my fight to recover in the hospital. When I saw that you were supporting charities, I knew to fight to stay strong and because of it, I regained the strength to be able to stand up again and walk out of the hospital. I continue to fight and now, my weight has returned to normal and I have total control over my Diabetes! You are a real hero because you are helping out others and bringing awareness to what is hurting many. For that, I want to thank you and those who help you for supporting those in need and bringing awareness to these charities and their goals. It is because of people like you that there will be a cure one day to eliminate Diabetes - among other diseases - and nobody would have to suffer any longer! THANK YOU!!!
Have had Type 1 Diabetes for 7 years now, Thank You Tom! my hats off to you good sir :) People have little to no understanding of the difficulties type 1 diabetics face. thank you for spreading awareness. great youtube right there!
i would like to thank you for raising awareness for diabetes. Im currently 18 years old and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 3, I was very ill with it and was hospitalized for almost a full year with it as my case had gotten so bad and that how they where able to pick it up, Im thankful that I am here today and I feel blessed that I don't have it worse. People dont understand that diabetes is a constant struggle and with type one it is required that you inject insulin into your body, I currently take about 14/18 injections a day, meaning 14/18 needles and if counting blood test needles then about 26/28 needles a day. Contrary to the belief I am not fat Im actually underweight due to this. Again I would like to thank you so much for raising awareness.
Thank you so much Tom, I've been a type 1 diabetic for four years now and everyday is a new challenge so on behave of all diabetics out there, we appreciate what you have done for our community!
Thanks Tom for the support I have type 2 diabetes it's the kind your born with. I hope you raise enough to start putting more money into the research to find a cure

+RomanLukeAhearn Im type 1, things i had was insanely thirsty, drink after drink but still thirsty, alot of weight loss, i was already slim but i couldnt believe my weight when it was measured in hospital, lightheaded and low on energy. After a week or so with ignoring these symptoms i had no energy at all, i was out of breath and could barely walk on my own thats when i went to A&E
i want to say thanks for the silver hair. my mum has been dealing with diabetes for over 60 years now and its really great to see people wanting to make sure its in the spotlight. its really great of you to making people aware.
+mini dwarfdude your pancreas basically does not work so you have an excess of sugar in your blood. you have to inject or pump artificial insulin into you to basically stop dying (type 1 diabetic)
I have Type 1 Diabetes and I just want to say how proud I am of Tom and I urge everyone to research and donate a small amount of money towards a charity related to Diabetes, as little a contribution you can do can still make a difference to people such as myself. All the way through school I felt none of my teachers were really aware of it, everyone thought it was due to me having too much sugar, but it's not at all. I just wanted to say I am VERY grateful that you're raising awareness, on behalf of every single T1 Diabetic out there. :D

Thanks Tom for trying to raise a bit of awareness to this because my older brother has type 1 diabetes, his life is a bit miserable because of it but he's still staying strong

I got type 1 diabetes a month ago now and I'm kinda struggling with it. I found out in the worst way Possible they said, I got rushed into hospital and was really ill and no one really understands what I am going through. I'm so thankful that you are raising awareness for diabetes and spreading the word
As a person who's had type one for 13 years (now 25) and a person who's had serious complications with Diabetes, i have to say thankyou for raising awareness and trying to educate people on it. Im so happy some people dont read into the whole "you eat too much sugar" bullshit! Thanks Tom, from a daily viewer :)
tom i really appreciate you doing this because my little brother was diagnosed with type one diabetes when he was just over a year old and when ever i have to tell people about it they just assume it was because he feed him loads of junk food but any way thanks you so much tom for educating people on the subject
Thank you Tom! I have been living with diabetes since I was 11 months old. (I'm 14 now). I have always had people tell me "but you're not fat, how did you get it?" You're such a great guy and keep doing what your doing!

You go Tom!! My older bro has type one diabetes and he's a body builder and hates it when people stereotype him for being a chubby non healthy person when people only say those things because they are uneducated. Thanks for the announcement to help bring awareness that it's not just overweight people that have it! :)))

Appreciate it Tom. I'm diabetic. Since I was 7 I'm 17 now. I like that you know what you are talking about. All in all your a great guy keep it up.
Hey tom! I got diabetes in April of 2004 and am now fifteen. I have had seizures and other problems caused from it and I get asked a lot about it and appreciate u showing and telling people what it's all about!
thanks tom for the shout out of diabetes I have type 2 and I'm really glad that some one cares about it most people with fame don't care about the little thing or even the big things some time bit over the years I have come to learn you are not that way. you rase so much money for motor neuron disease and now you are just giving all the people who don't have the opportunity to bring attion to it that chance thank you tom much love
Iv noticed this before but I realise that I have a smile on my face as I watch Tom's vlogs! 🙂
As Peppzzii in the comments said, I am rally really proud of people lho dont forget, and as the awesome TH-cam that you are, you showed respect and as a 14 years (since 5 and im now 19) diabetic, i really really apreciate the gesture..
Thank you for being you and for being awesome and for making our days great when nothing else does.. :)
I have SO much respect for you sir, raising awareness of Type 1 Diabetes helps me, and many other sufferers out there! I was diagnosed on my 12th birthday, had it 7 years and it can still be hard. All the way through school I felt none of my teachers were really aware of it, everyone thought it was due to me having too much sugar, but it's not at all. I just wanted to say I am VERY grateful that you're raising awareness, on behalf of every single T1 Diabetic out there. :D
Had type 1 diabetes all my life, I'm 17 now and don't really know any different and I appreciate what your doing👍
