You can get LED light strips that you can stick along the edges of ceilings or furniture, and you can also get special LED lights, that all change colour and sync up with your music via your cellphone! My buddy has them and they light up his entire place with changing lights, really worth it (it would match your Razor Keyboard and Mouse theme)
i reckon in the lounge paint 1 wall black (window wall) as it will match the kitchen opposite, i guess the theme is black and white yea, might just give it a suttle clean,modern finish to the apartment!!

Tom, if you're cooking something messy you can get lids to put over your bowls, or a wet papertowel/napkin will keep food from exploding and making your microwave dirty.
Just a tip for your glasses: get rubber padding to put on the shelves and turn the glasses upside-down. that way they won't collect dust and the padding will prevent falling during earthquakes.
If you put that sofa against the wall then the recliners won't be able to go down. You can find corner sofas that pull out at Ikea for sure. I have one that comes out into a queen size.

Also, if it doesn't ruin the SONOS' sound (make them sound really weird) it might be cool to kind of hide them out of sight on top of the cupboards.
