The Giant Forest Scorpion is one of the most popular scorpions in the hobby collected in huge numbers we must do all we can to breed these fantastic scorpions to sustain there numbers in captivity and help reduce the amount collected from the wild or we will face the same problem the Emperor scorpion has suffered over the past 40 years .

Wow! What an incredible video that was!
It was definitely up for some fun at the start, wasn’t it!? That’s the first time I’ve seen one of these, I think 🤔 It’s the Hyde v’s Jekyll. The gentleman and vagabond 😊😊

The Heterometrus and Pandinus scorps aren't very dangerous at all. A bee usually does more damage than these guys. Yes, the stinger obviously hurts, but local swelling and a bit of pain is all you'll get

I've had my AFS for a little over a year, now, and he is literally a pet rock lol He's pretty durpy, if you know what I mean 😆He very RARELY comes out of his burrow, but when he does, he really enjoys his water hole and a few minutes-long shower! (with the watering bottle) Feeding them is fun, since you really just have to hold the prey in front of their pinchers and if they want it they'll grab it. I've never seen mine use his stinger one time. I love this species so much. Even though mine may be a pet rock, he's got my heart and has a super fun personality

No justification for wild collecting of anything imo. There’s plenty of species being captive bred now. Really sad what happened to the emperor, they are such nice creatures. Ps this one actually was quite well behaved after the initial grab, no attempt to sting or pinch.

That was was until pretty much all of my favorite channels/creators have featured scorpions in the last month 🤣

I love how you keep saying how comfortable he is as he is actively trying to get away. 🤣 How can you not be impressed by these amazing critters. They can go just as fast backwards as forward. That is something I didn't know. That is so damn impressive. I can barely go forward, let alone backward. 😂Oh Merry Christmas to you and Camera Lady! Best wishes to you and your family and friends. I don't know if there will be another vid before as it's getting close, and people are traveling to see family/friends or vice versa and they are hosting family/friends. Thanks again for another great vid! 🕷❤

Same thing happened with the flat rock scorpion and African burrowing scorpion, one ever bred them and now they’ve all but disappeared from the hobby

Wow, that was an awesome video! I’ve never watched a scorpion for that amount of time. It seemed so personable and social 😂 I think it’s just the claws, they really make it seem curious. Also, the fact that it doesn’t move around as fast as spiders might be a reason it seems more chill. Seems like a really cool pet to have! Awesome job handling it at the end, Dave! Really cool to watch those little claw things work when it was eating too, I didn’t know they had those

Look at the bright yellow little bristly fibers, in its mouthparts! What are those called? I cant believe how yellow they are--I wonder why they evolved to have that striking color in their mouths? Also, he didn't even bother stinging that roach. I guess, why waste the venom?

20:38 You have insulted the scorpion by not accepting the gift of food it was plainly offering you. Say you’re sorry.

I can’t figure out where its eyes are?🤷🏼‍♀️Maybe because of the shine😂Also the mouth has claws too, very interesting. Also, I too am a scorpion 🦂 (Scorpio😉)

In the middle of the "forehead", there is a little dimple. That's where the eyes are. But they're nearly useless like with most arachnids.

Well if you are truly a scorpion then you should know where your eyes are O O O_o o o (get it... cuz it's O_o but usually they have 6)
But the answer is, Yes. The eyes are There. And also There. And There. They're not all in one cluster like spiders, they're more scattered all over the face
