  • Here's a look at my brand new Team Associated B64d 1/10th scale 4wd buggy running it's first two battery packs at OCRC in Huntington Beach, CA. Being an average driver, this thing makes me look good! Still messing manual spec....otherwise, it drove great and is nothing like the B44.x platform!

    That little car is awesome!! It can take a beating and loves it!!! It’s almost like it’s screaming “wheeeee!” when it hits that triple and blasts down the straight . Awesome video!

    For everyone that says he needs more steering it's not that he is that type of driver that likes to stay in the middle of the track at all times. You can see he turns in the S turns so he can stay in the middle of the track

    Just by the sound, I'm not pro racer or anything, but I think it might be beneficial to stiffen up your shocks, I think your chassis kept hitting the ground after every jump

    • @highhorseexpress301
      @highhorseexpress301 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its ok, all cars hit hard after landing flat
      Don't want to sacrifice shock performace just for no bottoming out

    • @robbieracer3294
      @robbieracer3294 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Breaking rc no, his rear end is way too soft. You don't want any buggy slapping that hard. Up two springs or a little heavier in oil would be my first change. But no, slapping that hard is not what you want.

    • @nikolaiiaksenov
      @nikolaiiaksenov 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chester Copperpot ok thanks

    • @highhorseexpress301
      @highhorseexpress301 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best way to prevent slap is to raise shock wt by 5 max, and try not too overshoot . Requires practice but it's well worth it

    • @robbieracer3294
      @robbieracer3294 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice driving Rich! Looks a little undergeared for a 6.5 motor, even my 8.5 could probably match it down straight.
    I drove a team driver's car with a 13.5 on the same layout, and boy was it such a PLEASURE compared to the 44.3, handles like my beloved 8.2e

      It is the same here with me. I also follow him on jangbricks although i am Not into brickbuilding myself. I hope that some day he will Come back to rc. But in all Truth i Don't think he will because his lego Channel is was more popular than urc ever was.

      Timo Hoffmann I thought he said that financially he couldn't do both RC and Lego. So he chose just Lego. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I saw him comment before about it being a money thing. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who would just choose one based only on views.

    That is one nice buggy. 👍
    Nothing related to the kit, but do I hate this new track mentality where its almost a on-road track.
    Its not off-road, I dont see any rooster tails, no power slides...
    Its lame, thr buggy finishes as clean as it started. That thing should be covered or at least have dirt on it.

  • @rokstaz
    @rokstaz 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    How's it been since the first run? Have you added anything else to the kit or made any tweaks. I got mine in the UK two weeks back and started using it on Astro turf, the 3 diffs have been fine and have tried 10 100k 7k which felt better than 10k at the rear. It's got so much grip and feels really stable. Thanks for doing the review and look forward to a few more ;)

      I completely changed everything. I always show box stock set up in my first running vids....Since then, I have added a full set up from Kurt Wenger from Schelle - he runs this rig at my track and does a pretty good job of finding the set up

    doesn't look too bad. Rear looks way too soft though. I'd try going up two springs or up a little in oil. Front shocks look ok though. What compound tires were you using? Don't look like MC, were you running a soft or super soft? MC compound might give ya better steering. Overall not bad though

      AE is not talking - they discontinued one of the B64's (either the d or the non d version - I don't keep track of that anymore) And with all the ".1" out with the B6.1, T6.1, etc - you would think they would have a B64.1 out soon. • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm running a 6.5t on a very large indoor track - that's the fastest I would go

    • @craftymgaming5362
      @craftymgaming5362 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Rich (: My local track is very very large and outdoor. It is dry clay, but without too much dust, and they do water it (So it can be moist sometimes, and dry sometimes). Would the 6.5t still apply? Thank you so much for your help, i raced my B6D just yesterday and almost made the a-main (:

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I would still stick with 6.5t....any faster and you'll start losing a lot of torque for the jumps....At least that' my educated guess for turns for your track. Take a look at OCRC's track - it's quite large for an indoor and 6.5t is a handful! lol

    • @craftymgaming5362
      @craftymgaming5362 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      OCRC is very similar, especially in turns. I forgot that if I go lower in turns I get less torque, so maybe I'll go with a 7.5 so I'll have more than enough for the jumps, and since I don't have as much experience. I'll see what 4 wheel people are running at my track, have a good afternoon, Thank You!

    Even though you are an average driver looks like it's a little stuck in the corner.

      I used to race in the early/mid 80's. I do miss the real dirt tracks. Nowadays it seems like roadcars made to jump, not of roading. But I'm nostalgic ;) Do love the new techniques and cars. Thanks for the vids :)

    No offense but if this is what a car does to make you look good, I would hate to see how you normally drive. No line holding nor not even in the race line even 1/5th of the time. Either way, I own this car myself and I can say it is down right amazing. Most fun I have had running 1/10.

      And no offense taken, Andrew. I'm not a professional driver, and never said I was. I'm an average joe driver that can get around a track pretty decently. Once again...not up to your level, obviously.....but I always show the car 100% box stock set up and that's what's shown here. Glad you're having fun with your car....I'm sure you're in the race line 99.9% of the time
