@@rayoscrostDoesn’t have to be because of the gender identity. I don’t know why people assume that depression is casualty of Sexuality or Gender Identity when there are so many other factors in life. Given how its not on here and it's a condition I deal with I'll put it here. Harm OCD: A subtype of the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Harm OCD is where one has unwanted and often intrusive thoughts regarding hurting themselves or others that often feel as if they are actually going to do it. This may come in forms like just simple assault to thoughts/urges of murder. These unwanted thoughts and urges come at random thoughts or can have a trigger; an example is my trigger of small blades and driving alone. These lead to compulsions that can vary from person to person but generally are to help the person with OCD deal with the anxiety that come with these thoughts. Examples of compulsions are removing ones self from a room with a trigger, avoidance to violent media, and distancing from those you know to name a few. Exposure therapy is the go to for this form of OCD to help those with it to cope. While it's difficult for me personally to deal with it as well talk about it I am open to questions if you may like regarding this condition.
This is a very convenient and short video, so while I definitely didn't expect it to be professional or anything, your description of Gender Dysphoria was incorrect and can lead to a lot of harmful misunderstandings!! Gender Dysphoria is *the social or physical discomfort* caused by a conflict between one's gender identity and their biological sex. It is pretty much Body Dysmorphic Disorder, but specifically relating to gender expression and identity. The way you described it makes it sound like a person's gender identity misaligning with their biological sex is the part of thinking that is disordered, when that is not the case in accordance with the DSM-5. This isn't to chew you out or anything, I just feel like it's a correction that's worth note, as the wording in this video can lead to/further support incredibly harmful misconceptions about transgender individuals. Many trans people are called insane for being trans, when in reality a good chunk of transgender people don't even experience Gender Dysphoria to begin with, and many disorders they may face tend to develop due to mistreatment after coming out (or fear of coming out at all) when surrounded by unsupportive people. It's also important to note that similar identities to "transgender" (Hijra, Two-Spirit, Fa'afafine, and Muxe just to list a few) have existed in various cultures for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, illustrating the cultural importance of gender identity and its fluidity. Identifying as a different gender than the one you were assigned at birth is not medically considered a mental disorder/illness, it's just another facet of self expression, which will vary from person to person!! Bodily discomfort, however, is what Gender Dysphoria refers to, and treatment options tend to be hormone replacement therapy or gender affirmation surgeries to help trans individuals feel happier in their bodies!!! ^.^
Hey just wondering, if someone doesn't have gender dysphoria or any gender incongruity of any kind, why would they wanna transition? Trans people are not insane, and I disagree with it being listed as a mental illness, but I do want to know. If a person experiences no gender incongruity or gender dysphoria, why identify as trans?
@@caelxzsWell in that case it's a personal choice with how they want to move through the world. Simply wanting to is very widely accepted for most decisions people make about their personal style, whether it's clothing, tattoos and piercings etc. This would just be including changing your genitalia/behaviour to that list
@@caelxzs In instances where people transition despite a lack of dysphoria, it's typically because of "gender euphoria" (which i'm pretty sure isn't a medical term, just something the trans community has coined) meaning that even though they were fine with presenting as their assigned gender at birth, they're wayyy happier expressing themselves differently from that!! If we wanna put gender expression on a scale of identity satisfaction, think of people experiencing dysphoria starting in the negative numbers and working up to 0 (neutral) or higher through transitioning. People transitioning due to gender euphoria start at 0, but move up from that after transitioning!!
i've watched a few of your videos so far and i was under the impression that you already had a few million subs with the quality and palatability of these you're sure to rack up numbers if you maintain consistency

It puts you into a state where nothing matters in a good way. You truly don't give a shit about anything and you're just happy as fuck as a result, because nothing matters. Nothing matters, nothing means anything, there's nothing to do, there's no point, there's no goal but there's also no boredom, there's no negative meanings attached to the meaninglessness, it's just perfectly meaningless and it's awesome. You're basically just like sitting like a cat on a windowsill enjoying whatever experience is before it, just being and it feels amazing. 🦄
what disorder is this? Cause I really relate to it, but maybe it´s just a way of thinking?
Sameee I often feel like I'm a chicken nugget🍖
@@moon_wolfk7456Optimistic nihilism. Not a disorder, but it *is* the latter.
@@10ShotsOfEspresso optimistic nihilism is a philosophical paradox and simply cannot exist, he's describing some sort of absurdism/existentialism
Thank you for correctly calling these mental illnesses
this is cool and super underrated! You should make a part 2! One thing I noticed is that dyslexia was on the list but not dyscalculia (or dysgraphia). I have dyscalculia and it’s often underrepresented in these things so makes sense!
edit: never mind i’m just an idiot and wasn’t paying attention during the dyscalculia part lolllll (i also have ADHD wee)
This video actually helped me identify some issues i face, i always wondered if i was normal or not and this helped thanks
Dont do it, self diagnosis is bullshit, you need qualified doctor diagnosis
i would love a part 2 tbh u explained this very well
As someone who recovered from trichotillomania, it feels like you're in a trance when you pull out your hair.
Great to hear you've recovered! I've struggled with it often, though I seem to cycle through impulse issues. So whenever I think I've recovered, I realize I've been biting my nails again or overeating. Anxiety really doesn't help either.
i defiantly have avoidant personality disorder. i hate to self diagnose but ive done a good bit of research and it matches my behavior perfectly
You still can’t auto-diagnose with simple researchs or videos. Go see a professional
i’m autistic, and i really like your explanation about autism! i’m very glad you mentioned we were on a spectrum since most people forget to mention that. one thing though, autism counts as a disability rather than a mental illness. great video tho!!
@btssupreme921you have less intelligence than the bacteria in my toilet
Woah woah woah. Severe autism is definitely a disability, but most autism shouldn’t be counted as a disability. It’s not great but calling it a disability is kind of lowering serious disabilities to a less-serious level. Like saying “I watched an intense war movie so I know what war is like” but to a lesser degree
@btssupreme921 Ay, that's better
@btssupreme921it's not a disease STFU
Trans guy with depression, adhd, and maybe some form of anxiety (looking into that) here. I saw gender dysphoria on the thumbnail and had a feeling about it, but accidentally moaclicked after scrolling past this video a few times and I'm actually super impressed with how respectful and educational this video was! Keep it up
not meaning to be rude but it's no wonder that you get depressed when you want to be something that you can't be. you know that yourself but your constant denial is making it worse. accept what you are.
@@rayoscrostDoesn’t have to be because of the gender identity. I don’t know why people assume that depression is casualty of Sexuality or Gender Identity when there are so many other factors in life. There is a reason why people are transitioning: to be actually happy and to live a life as everyone else.
@@rayoscrostwhy can't people identify me as an Japanese A6M Zero fighter plane😢😢😢

And not even mental ones
As someone with ADHD and Autism, you summed it up perfectly. Great video❤❤!
Love your channel man, please do a part 2!
You forgot OCD, which is what I have
Fun fact: Anorexia has the biggest death rate and BPD is considered the most unbearable
Edit: you forgot Skibidi Toilet Syndrome
Please don’t self diagnose in the comments guys, this video is purely for *educational purposes*
Educational with some wrong info
no
I got a lot of these but I’m happy mostly to see dyscalculia mentioned! It effects me the most and barely anyone ever heard of it
As someone with ADHD, Autism, and GAD, Im utterly shocked that you were able to sum those 3 disorders up so quickly and actually bery accurately.
"Not for self diagnose"
Pretty good! Was curious about OCD tho because thats what i struggle with the most
Wishing you the best of luck with coping with it, it’s so hard man :(

Exposure therapy and mindfulness
Yo I have ADHD and I just wanna say your simple definition is so true!
i have a lot of mental issues : pica, adhd, borderline personality disorder , depresive personality, depersonalization, generalized anxiety, onychophagia , trichotillomania , schizophrenia ,
I doubt you do have all these. You cannot diagnose yourself just with a TH-cam video, consult a professional
Given how its not on here and it's a condition I deal with I'll put it here.
Harm OCD:
A subtype of the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Womp womp
Thanks for the tutorial! Will help me complete my collection!👍
Love this video! Good specific information. I enjoy learning about different disorders.
This channel reminds me of the 10Facts30Seconds channel I used to watch in middle school. 🖤
Really good video, straight to the point, no excessive intro talking.
i've watched a few of your videos so far and i was under the impression that you already had a few million subs with the quality and palatability of these
you're sure to rack up numbers if you maintain consistency
Where is OCD? 2% of your followers might have it and its one of the most misunderstood ones - part 2 plz!
Why do i have the sudden urge to say “me” when we move into the next disorder each time
as someone with gender dysphoria, it’s great to see people not sugar coating it. ITS A MENTAL DISORDER. people don’t like to accept that, but it’s the truth and i hate it when people get mad due to my going to therapy for it. I’m gender-fluid, but i still need mental help to help express myself how i want others to see me, but it’s still a disorder.
I guess, but this person is making it easier for echochambered 9 year olds to harass people without feeling as bad
I have delusions and im glad you mentioned them because most of the media demonizes them
