Respect to all great guitarist like Mark Knopfler , Carlos Santana..... so on so forth! But this guy whit all the respect !! Much all of them he can play all the styles and even better ! Wow
I sit and listen to him play, I hear the words of the tune in my head, but not a word does he sing. The licks he plays are mesmerizing. He played Hotel California in this spot, one guy just sat down and got lost in the music, while all the dummy's walked by and some even taunting him. Hey dude, shine on crazy diamond.
Can't decide Gibson or Black Strat?? Need to hear that on stage with a proper PA and a few more amps! I think Miguel is amazing but the Black Strat is a batter sound I think, not much in it though
Have never taken any notice of street background, only focus is on Miguel Montalban. A very talented musician without doubt, and great future with a little help. Check out his official website www.miguelmontalban.com and grab Pineapple Road Explosion - Guitar Juicebox. Miguel, One of these days I'll turn up with sound and film crew ;-)
David Gilmour, I love your music; but none of us live forever. And how much money does one man need? Take this kid under your wing and write some stuff tailored to his talent. When he interprets Pink Floyd or Dire Straits he shines like brilliant diamond, but smooth as river-worn jade.
People always comment this but don't realize how many stops once they get behind the camera. You know, like where everyone else is that's witnessing the beautiful music.
Oi Miguel Tudo De Bom Para Você E Sua Família 🙏 Torço Muito Para Você Chegar A Um Milhão De Escristos 🎸🎶🇧🇷🤘🙏 Você É Merecedor De Tudo Estamos Juntos Sejam Sempre Feliz 🙏 Um Abraço Grande 🙏 Maria R J
Someone should put together a concert with street performers from aroubd the world. Do try-outs and pick the best of the best. Prize could be a recording contract, similar to the Voice. There is allot of talent out there. Bob Saake.
there are montages like thats when they recorded different street artists from all over the world in to one track, but I would prefer one with the best ones. Like Justin Ward and this guy for example, would be amazing

This guy plays really, really good and fast. BUT, playing Gilmour's solos is not about speed by any means. It's about feeling, passion and melody. Don't get me wrong, this guy can easily defeat Satriani or Vay in a "fast and furious" contest. But, dude... Gilmour is a completely different style. Turn the wah-wah off, slow down and feel the music. Respect the tempo and pauses needed for this solo to be that great.
I understand difference between interpretation and copying. For instance, I like Jethro Tull interpretation of Bach's Bourèe, but here, the guy is not interpreting but soloing along with band. A bug difference! Besides, interpretation also demands respect for the author and this guy has no respect at all. Music is not just about notes, but silences as well. Here's the problem. Apparently this guy doesn't know what a silence is. I am not questioning his ability to play which is remarkable. I am questioning his ability to interpret Gilmour's music.
You clearly dont get it. Hes making it his own. Thats what a rendition is. You say you understand but you dont. How boring it would be if everyone played it the exact same way. It speaks to his personality and is what makes us so unique. If what you see is just soloing to the song.... Well, then youre just blind.
I do understand very well what a rendition is. The problem here is that the interpreter has no respect for who he is "tributing". Making your own version is fine, make it better (although in this particular case is impossible) is great. But both demand respect for the original. This solo is so pretentious to the point the guy shows no respect at all.
Great Performance too many times this track is played with an overabundance of arpeggios and scales , in this case emotion come first and that's the real thing that counts BRAVO.
The Truth H. You can do it better Or You say like a gilmour fan. I played guitar for some years, but I dont need to be an expert musician to know there is a lot of talent in his performance.
He was inBrick lane this morning . Played well . But not good enough to stop you from getting the shits after eating in ANY of those shit bengali restaurants
amazing form to destroy a mithic solo, why he add a lot of notes, is ridiculous, this solo contains pasion, pauses, bendings incredibles and in this version containg a lot of innecesari notes... he play amazing but this solo is to poor, i talk about his versión. because the version of gilmoure is a magnifical masterpiece
g0n And that's where individual interpretation comes in. There's no truly "wrong" way to play something, that's purely opinion based, and opinions are neither fact nor false.
The great J.S Bach never added expression marks to his compositions leaving to the musician the freedom to express his own. Miguel is selling CD's, if he was playing note for note and expressions identical to Gilmour then he would better selling Pink Floyd bootlegs. Go Miguel we admire your spirit,
No way. Glamour's feeling is impossibile to replicate and this cover is far away to be considered a decent cover. I mean he is good but he destroyed this wonderful song.
I love every second of this video but my favorite part, seeing the people pick up all his stuff that got blown away. Such a nice gesture to see
Warmed my heart to see everyone pickup his display and set it back up for him! 🤘🏼 fucking real people right there!
Awesome performance, always love Miguel's music

Awesome take on Gilmour's masterpiece
The people who collected the pamphlets blown in the wind are helpful.
Never seen as gifted an musician in rock music

@@rugbytimothy1315 Probably cos he is one 😅 Amazing what a camera brings out in people!
Fr and those girls were laughing at him for acting stupid too 😂 crazy that the camera caught that
is this video in 70's recoded ?
Most of the people passing by without know what they are listening.
The mankind, so poor.
Francesco Carpinelli But Miguel is just concerned with his passion and plays the guitar in a wonderful way.

that guy acting like he was playing a guitar is such an ignorant
Wichiwachi Gide true, it was as if he was mocking Miguel. He was acting like a little child.

Juan Quesada It's called interpretation not copying.

Got to be done on a Fender sorry just my preference, mind you David Gilmore is a legend tough act for anyone to follow.

Im no American in the sense of F, but i like still European way of deliveration in Janra, yes.
david gilmor is a god with his gitaar....and you come very close....ps,i was waiting for the moment 4min 27 sec
Me too!
That system must have some awesome battery power...
Seriously I question all street musicians , where the hell do you save all that massive audio power amp. in ??
For me you're just nice playing...
If compare to Gilmour... when he play at the Gdansk concert it's sound i can feel like in the heaven... trust me...
Wow..0:15
Miguel, you should replace Roger Waters' Snowy White in tour once he goes out of business!
Cant agree with the losers downstairs. I think you're great! Keep playin.
Wow
So much talent, as usual so little "stage" presence. Miguel, there's an audience out there....
front of Controlled Zone... why?
Wicked.
on the street

Amazing. Great rendition, but a bit too much at the end.
Beautiful. The douchebag doin the air guitar had to be from the U.S.
I was hoping somebody bodied him. From my American POV, he had to be from Canada, most likely a Montreal cock
ouch 🇺🇸
Whats wrong wit the Air Guitar guy?

I could not agree more to what you stated here. That style is great to play Satriani or Vay, but definitely not Gilmour.
g0n And that's where individual interpretation comes in. There's no truly "wrong" way to play something, that's purely opinion based, and opinions are neither fact nor false.

What's up with everybody throwing change homeless people get more than that
darrel james - the British have high-denomination coinage; there are coins worth 1 and 5 pounds. It's hard to tell how much anyone is giving him.
rcwhiteh thank you for enlightening me. I didn't know that thumbs up to you.
No such thing as £5 coin! 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 coin and £2 coin. That’s it. £5 coin was a souvenir coin.
He needs a wammy bar instead of a wah pedal
You need to be tied up and publicly stoned in the town square !!😠 fuckin wanker😆
Not if he wants to stay in tune, especially outside in the wind.
Gilmour never used that slider thing
actually he was using it all the time
No - don't get it!
too much wah wah

to create thick mid and wide room in outdoor with small speaker, it is his rendition
