Red West went to high school with Elvis and how they met was playing football and when others were picking on Elvis, Red took up for him. Red went with Elvis to the Texas and to Germany to live with them in the house Elvis rented while there. They were together until Elvis and his dad fired him due to law suits from altercations with fans while protecting Elvis. Red and his brother were hurt and what a book and 10 days after the book came out Elvis died.
Red West had the back of Elvis from the time they were in Humes high school because of Elvis and his long hair and appearance he would have been a easy mark if not for Red ,he loved Elvis and he helped write the book because he saw his best friend dying before his eyes.Elvis had his eyes open by the book and he told Red as much when he spoke with him on the phone after the book was released,it was Vernon who had a problem with the book and personally fired Red and Sonny but he lied to Elvis and said he intended to hire them back shortly.Vernon and his wife who Elvis resented and her sons were using Elvis for all they could get,One son even went as far as to take the photos of Elvis in his coffin and sold them to the tabloid and Vernon sold Elvis’s future earnings in part to the Money sucking manager.so from top to bottom they were all using Elvis,Red was only trying to get Elvis to see what was happening and get his life and health back on track
Elvis was a Charlie Rich fan, one of his favorite songs was Mohair Sam by Charlie, and played it repeatedly . He even played it for the Beatles when they visited.
TGANK YOU for taking the time to make this video!!! We have been searching for GK burial site for hours and you jist led us right to it!!! Much appreciation!!
Watched a.video of Dr. Nick before he died , this video looked to be in the 90’s and he was explaining what was found in Elvis’s autopsy which was a type of mega colon. Apparently Elvis had been dealing with this all his life. The mega colon along with pain meds would have caused horrible constipation and pain not to mention the other health problems he was dealing with. Elvis being in horrible pain also got meds from other sources, one being a physician who lived about a stone throw from the International. Apparently this Doctor was known to prescribe medications to the stars. Those around Eli’s tried to limit his abuse by emptying the capsules or replacing them, but Elvis knew when the meds were not working properly and there were too many people around him providing meds to him to win favor.
Charlie Rich was not of the "Memphis Mafia." He did record at Sun Records too. I loved his singing, and have several of his albums. Red West and Elvis attended Humes High School. Some boys cornered Elvis in the boys restroom, to cut his hair, and "Red" came to his rescue. There was another doctor who was supplying Elvis much prescription drugs, but not anything was done about him. It should have been him too. He is deceased too.
Just seen your video off the graves off the Memphis mafia you said that Red West died in 2010 he did not it was 2017 and Red west wrote the song Separate ways for Elvis which Elvis recorded and released in 1972
@@Sproutopia7345 originally published in 1997 that he was set to be buried at Palm Cemetery on Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas but they lost the exact plot location in the records
Sam and Dewey Phillips were not related. This would have been a much better video if you got your facts straight🤔. Still interesting though, thank you.
At least he tried to monitor Elvis and his drug intake and he he prevented him from getting them from the streets, was he wrong yes but when in Vegas Elvis said himself that either the doctor will give them to me or I will get them myself
Watch the new video on circle G ranch
Charlie Rich was a great entertainer and recorded at Sun Records and lived in Memphis but was not a member of the Memphis Mafia.
Exactly he was there at multiple recording sessions with Elvis, I just put him in the video since he was a friend and close to dr nick’s grave
Thank You
Charlie Rich was never in Elvis's entourage lol
You're confusing him with Charlie Hodge who was a loyal and longtime friend !
Yes you need to find Charlie Hodge
Alabama, new friendship Baptist church cemetery
Not my video !

Great addition!
Elvis's cousin Bobby Mann took the pic in the coffin and sold it for $18,000 to the National Enquirer
It was actually a cousin of Elvis who took the picture of him after he died Billy Smith tells the story of it on his channel and who the cousin was
Are you sure you don’t mean Charlie Hodge??? Instead of Charlie Rich?
Charlie Hodge was a true friend of Elvis, right to the end, Joe Esposito, Jerry Schilling, Sam Thompson.
Charlie hodge would be a great addition to the video but he is buried in Alabama
You really shouldn't be doing these videos because you're terrible at it and very misinformed.
It’s sad not many remain who knew Elvis
Right!
Dr Nick was a kind, caring wonderful man.
He also sung the Most beautiful girl in the world
My mom used to sing it to me as a kid she loved that man
a lot of good ones
charlie rich passed away in 1995. he was born 1932. great singer. behind closed doors great song
Yea I stumbled on the death year, just mesmerized by the portraits
Elvis was a Charlie Rich fan, one of his favorite songs was Mohair Sam by Charlie, and played it repeatedly . He even played it for the Beatles when they visited.
Yes, just didn’t mention that, Elvis played it for the Beatles when they came to Graceland

I wont judge Dr. Nick, thats gods job
Not judging either, he worked hard
Marion Keisker was the first to record Elvis Presley, she discovered Elvis. Find her grave if you can please.
