    ON COMMITMENT...
After 2 weeks. ISFP - “I love you.” INFJ - “Wtf?? You don’t even know me.”
After 2 years. ISFP - “I just don’t want to get married.” INFJ - “I can’t invest anymore in you without a commitment or it will break me. Sh!t or get off the pot.”
    True Story.

8:52 -"Having an opinion and being able to express that in a way that serves the conversation purposefully" - Such a cool description of Fe creative function that INFJs have. I didn't even realize it was a unique ability until he said that.

As an ISFP-A, "I'm an emotional sponge, I absorb feelings of those around me" this is so true with me... he explained all the things that I've got to say

INFJs will commit to plans, and they'll definitely commit to a partner or friend they connect with deeply (sometimes to their own detriment), whereas ISFPs are more hesitant to commit to something in the future because they don't know how they'll be feeling at that point in time (Fi). That being said, INFJs can be indecisive when it comes to big decisions (like who they're going to marry, what their career will be, etc), and ISFPs are much more impulsive / in the moment about riskier behavior or purchases. So it really depends on whether there's instant gratification (ISFP will commit) or future gratification (INFJ will commit).

I love this video and the part 1 😁 im an INFJ and my partner is ISFP, when we first started dating i couldn't find much good info on how we might interact, so I wish I had found something like this! Thanks you guys! I really love your energy together, it's so peaceful, thoughtful, and deep. ☺️🤗💙

BTW that story about the dreadlocks is word for word my man's story, he had dreads for 7 years, cut them off because he gave in to outside pressure, was worried he would regret it, and immediately did lol he's growing it back out now 😁

7:12 once an INFJ is committed to something; it’s going to happen even if it takes a lifetime to do it. We are not wired to get instant gratification

What he said about us finding it difficult to commitment was definitely spot on, I have the will to commit but because of our idealistic visions of our future despite our ability to spot bull shite some of us go through bad relationships and we end up finding it hard to commit to a relationship with the fear of it being ruined

I've been so excited for part 2 ever since I watched the last one! 🙌 Another lovely video from you, with so many good points and insights. I understand why Sam had more trouble in this part, and I never really realized how similar INFJs and ISFPs in fact are :') About the stereotype "I take a long time to commit" I can totally see where Sam is coming from, and why he'd think it's about INFJs. But just like you said, it might be because of our visions for the future and Ni-Ti :) Thank you so much for this beautiful video, you're both amazing ✨ (ps. your editing and the small comments made me laugh so much)

These interactions (part 1 & 2) are really spot on! I feel like I'm actually watching myself (INFJ) in the video! 😂
Was in a short relationship with an ISFP months ago, but we broke up because we couldn't get around how each other works.
For me, I could understand clearly the difference between him and I.
For him, since he'd first met me years ago, thought that I am the exact female copy of himself.
He couldn't exactly reason out why he thought so, but he saw himself falling for me. He was young so he didn't understood what he was feeling, and because he was so scared of committing, he let me go without saying a thing (though I could feel what he felt).
Years later (months ago) he decided to confess suddenly; to which he also said "YOLO" + lives that way lol.
I didn't knew exactly how ISFPs work, so I was slightly pushing him for at least a sign of care and commitment to whatever we had after I got into a car accident during a solo trip. But I'd forgotten entirely that he is ISFP after the huge impact to my head (not sure why I thought he was ISTP after??? Ti and Fi confusion??).
Our previously very loving relationship just started spiralling out of control, and we eventually had a very painful break up that I'm still trying to recover from.
He suggested our future to me, and no doubt I just focused on working towards the future; while he couldn't.
I am thankful to come across this video though! Thank you for sharing! At least I can have somewhat of a closure now though it is rather unexplainably painful to move on from. 🙂

Hi lovely! I'm so glad my videos could help bring some clarity around your differences and I'm so sorry you had to go through the heart break that you did. I hope you give yourself the time you need to heal.
While ISFPs are always in flow and are deeply present (which is something to admire) a level of wisdom of foresight and concern about the consequences of their actions is so important. As you mentioned, he was/is young and the way in which his words did not line up with his actions is an indication of his need to grow in that area. As for us, we need to separate our idealisations of the people we love and the relationship we could have, from reality. I genuinely believe any dynamic can work beautifully if both individuals strive to be self-aware and understand the other person's needs even if they look entirely different. I'm glad you've realised your strengths and values. I hope you know that you deserve to receive the same care and consideration in return. x

Part1 and Part 2 make me actually question my Type. I am pretty sure I am ISFP but I can relate to many INFJ things. Maybe some mixed type idk. interesting tho!
As ISFP I feel like there is no-one that know my entirely - at best 40% or so. I guard myself, my feelings and my convictions so well that I think both ISFP and INFJ are very difficult to get to know

Love this! To see the types you interview talk and hear how they think teaches me how to spot them, in real life. Also to understand! Interesting when you feel that certain statements fit you both, but in different ways. I think this project is a great idea, especially when the people you talk to don’t know much about mbti, the answers are pure and honest and reflects their worldview and their understanding of themselves, and how much or little understanding they have of themselves. Also, how are you both such beautiful souls? So charming it hurts. Thanks from an INFP

The feeling others' feelings confuses me a bit. I'm a HSP and I can literally feel someone's feelings in my body even without seeing them. Like someone behind me who I haven't looked at can affect me. I used to think I was INFJ but I fit the picture of an ISFP much more. Can you comment on that please Gianna? I'm not an MBTI whizz.

    • @GiannaDianthee

Hi lovely, INFJ and ISFP both have the capacity to be deeply empathetic. It's the way in which their empathy is processed/experienced that's quite different. Fe is utilised by INFJs and Fi is utilised by ISFPs. I definitely recommend reading into these two functions and how they manifest differently
