I honestly never finished this game just because every battle is so gimmicky. Like every trainer will do nothing but spam confusion, sleep, or poison and it makes the game no fun

I don't get what the point is if you're not using your Crystal pokemon. Wasn't that why you were planning on doing Stadium after? Using the rentals is just so...impersonal? Stale.
I was thinking the exact same thing... hey, at least we got like two episodes of the Crystal team. I'm pretty sure they'll be back at least one more time later though.
He already said they'd be back. Using the same team over and over would be even more stale. Plus, they would not work for the Prime or Little Cups so..

I don't know if this is the most cryptic thing in the world, but we meant in general, not specifically in this part of the game.
If he's only done ONE tournament-or-whatever that his Crystal team would be usable in, then it makes sense; I use this as background noise 75% of the time I watch it, so I have no idea if that's the case, but I certainly know I'm not interested in actually watching and paying attention to six unnamed Pokémon every day. I guess everyone else thinks otherwise because two people have given sarcastic replies already.
I guess that makes sense, I was just hoping this would be more interesting to me than his playthrough of the first Stadium but I'm actually kind of less interested this time because it's basically "random Pokémon battle simulator..." but at least I'm interested at all!

Yes, but he has to win to keep the series entertaining and save time rebattling entire cups when he could be recording.
The ai also cheats by rigging the RNG against you and actively looking at your Pokémons typing. Ex: sees charizard(fire/flying, thank god not fighting) and they have a corsola with ancient power, surf, attract, and hidden power grass. They only select surf and ancient power and you lose(your self trained and good DV clelebi and mew got ko'd by the unfair rigged rng.) Does that prove my point?
@@derpofnerf6673 This rigging you're talking about doesn't even happen all the time. The Pika Cup Lass in the prequel didn't even use her stupid Tentacruel the one time I beat her. She used a Meowth 5 levels lower.
