I think Titanus Tiamat going dormant and "obeying" Godzilla had much the same thought behind it as Titanus Scylla taking Godzilla's order to flee from the nuclear bomb, more or less mentally telling itself "alright, I'll do what you say, but this isn't over" in a way, I'm thinking Tiamat was just preparing for a rematch with Godzilla, but G-Man interrupted her plots.
I agree it seems like Godzilla only change to the South Pole for the energy Tiamat could have just let Godzilla be but he decides to fight him which proven to be a big mistake

Wished Godzillas fights were a little longer in this movie, he was so op that nothing stood a slight chance, but still super happy we got a comic only kaiju into one of the movies. Really adds the connectivity the monsterverse has needed that the films alone cant do.

I think another thing is that after the events of KOTM, and the loss of Mothra, Godzilla believed he had to be more ruthless and merciless. For example: in the Mothra/Rodan fight, she could’ve easily gone for a fatal blow, but she chose to incapacitate him, showing him mercy. And in GxK, Godzilla came very close to (SPOILERS) …Killing Kong, but was stopped by Mothra. I think that Godzilla is naturally a bit of a hot head and Mothra is his voice of reason, leaving him to be a ruthless, but balancing force of nature
Just as Kong's the closest humanity'd ever get to guardian deity, just as Godzilla to every other Titans. Mothra bridges the two, and i actually loved this rendition of Mothra, she had more human compassion than the humans themselves, and thr fact that GxK is the first time mothra ever met/interact with Kong. And both Kong/Mothra tribe being related to one another. Is nothing short of great addition of original lore to the monsterverse.
Before I even watch, didn't they explain she was at the apex point where radiation hit the earth and she was absorbing it for something. The G man didn't like that and it seemed a bit suspicious that she was trying to power up. So he ended it before it started

She could've retreated too after seeing him but nope, she rushed him almost immediately. And like they said, do we really want a Titan Destroyer with this kind of power hanging around. And even more, what if we see a breakdown of Shimo? I mean, how strong her ice is? G-Guy already did the measurements, but Shimo is so insanely powerful. And how powerful is Skar King? he extremely agile and strong, and he didn't rely too much on Shimo, or did he? Idk what to think of Skar King, hbu?
I love how in Godzilla 2014, they made a point that Godzilla feeds on radiation from the planet as opposed to the "evil" MUTOs who fed on the humans Nuclear weapons. Meanwhile in this movie, Godzilla just casually inhales a nuclear power plant.
im here pretty early but anyways the scene of the atomic breath piercing the surface of the water and then the parts of tiamat floating up was pretty cool
Another thought to consider is the very possible likelihood that Godzilla would have returned Tiamat's lair to her, upon gaining the energy that he needed. The end of the film shows that he had no intention of taking her lair permanently, if he was, he would've returned there instead of returning to the Roman Colosseum to rest, especially with her being deceased and no longer an obstacle. IMO, had Tiamat cooperated with Godzilla and allowed him to use her home for a brief period of time, she would still be alive in her ice lair living in peace ( as long as she did nothing to piss Godzilla off lol).Also in addition to this consideration, the entirety of the surface world is Godzilla's territory ( unless I'm mistaken, feel free to correct me if I am) and the other titans who live in different areas of that territory, only do so because Godzilla allows it (due to the positive, nourishing effects doing so would have on the various ecosystems), so by that logic, Tiamat's lair doesn't technically belong to her, but it is instead being borrowed by her, from Godzilla.
The lair thing is kinda true, but there is a possible reason that Tiamat took that territory without permission whcih put her on G man`s bad list. Rest in peace Tiamat. My second favorite kaiju after the G man.

Hey Goji Center, will you be covering the Justice League/Monsterverse crossover comic? There are some interesting things to go over in it like the new alpha Skullcrawler and Godzilla's heat ray being able to seriously hurt Superman.
Maybe Godzilla sensed a greater threat looming and needed to conserve his energy or focus on preparing for that impending danger. In this scenario, Godzilla's decision to swiftly deal with Tiamat could be interpreted as him prioritizing his efforts and resources for the larger threat that he knew the real threat is approaching. It adds layers to Godzilla's motivations and strategic thinking within the MonsterVerse.
Side note: People say that Scylla is a crab and not a spider(makes sense because she has six legs, not eight). But why does she ACTUALLY SHOOT OUT WEBS in GxK? I tried to rewatch the film on a certain website (the timestamp is 6:12 to 6:15 on fmovies, f meaning free of course) just to be sure and took screenshots, she was shooting out webs. Why is nobody talking about that?

This is why he was titled King of The Monsters. Other than his title. He has responsibility and a sole duty to ensure balance meaning he has his right judgement and justification of his as he already witness all the mess both Scylla and Tiamat both natural order and humans alike.
If it’s not canon, then it’s not a piece of current monsterverse lore, more like an alternate one. Something that would be considered a piece of actual, canon “lore” would be jla/avengers, which is actively canon to both marvel and dc.

The difference is it was made with the initial intention to be canon and made specifically FOR the monsterverse. The dc vs Godzilla crossover never has any intention to be canon, plus more timeline changes later on. You can call Godzilla vs Tiamat 3 monsterverse “HISTORY”, but not lore.

Tiamat ambushing and almost killing Godzilla already sealed her fate. Scylla wasn’t really a threat to Godzilla. Godzilla let her power up a bit from radiation, and lo and behold, she challenges Godzilla. Tiamat was doing the same thing except she was an actual threat to Godzilla. Godzilla learned and took care of her early while she was still powering up.
@@MightyContent6 Well, based on the movie, Suko is the same size or slightly larger than Kong from 1973, so he would be a good fit for the Skull Island ecosystem! In terms of speed and agility, Suko would be superior to Kong because Kong has longer forelimbs and this allows him, as you said, to throw large objects over longer distances and to use four limbs while running like modern apes, unlike Kong from 1973 who ran like a human on two legs.

I have a theory why Godzilla killed Tiamat . Godzilla had to take a rest or hibernation in the magnetic area like the iceberg he evolved in . But Tiamat who was a terrorist (which was said in movie ) might attacked Godzilla. So Godzilla had no choice but to kill Tiamat. We can also prove it by their colour . Tiamat is pink or magenta and after g-man’s evolution he was also pink or magenta
I wholeheartedly disagree with the video. Realistically Godzilla had no reason to kill tiamat, and likely only did because the film makers wanted to add more Godzilla fights without cutting into the plot too much. Some points i believe are worth mentioning: 1) Destruction is a part of the natural order and killing Tiamat removed a likely pivotal titan from the balance of the world, as she is the most formidable aquatic titan. 2) Destroyers are likely territorial by nature. Look at Rodan squaring up with Ghidora as a prime example. Rodan attacked after being woken up and then went to defend his territory. If Godzilla was as smart as this paints him to be, he should understand that Tiamat was going to react aggressively to him essentially blowing her door down, pointing a gun at her and demanding her food. 3) Tiamat was done incredibly dirty, as a Titan that can supposedly go toe to toe with Godzilla in the water. And for her being evolved and then just get one shot by Godzilla is just disrespectful. 4) Tiamat is a draconic titan and thus has my whole support (this is humor, i do like her for her draconic look but that isnt a valid reason) 5) Godzilla more then anybody should understand how pissed Tiamat was going to be getting kicked out of a second lair, and still decided to go and kill her. 6) according to the movie, the earths magnetic field directs energy to Tiamats lair, however by extension there should be one also at the South Pole. Therefore, it was unreasonable for both to be in the same location. There should be an equally powerful resevoir at both the north and south. 7) Godzilla is shooting himself in the foot killing Tiamat, and was going off a baseless suspicion that Tiamat was going to challange him again. The Titans eat radiation and energy, so wouldnt you want to live right next to a grocery store? Tiamat was complient with Godzilla after submitting in the comics, and by extension it cannot be assumed Titamat was preparing to fight him again. 8) If somrthing like an Aqua Ghidora shows up Mothra cant help, and Kong sure cant. Eliminating your best fighter in the water basically means Godzilla has to 1v1 it, instead of guarenteeing a win with a 2v1. 9) Going back to point 2, it was never shown or stated Tiamat was aggressive towards Godzilla specifically, and that all of her fights with him were because of a Territorial nature default for Destroyers. Had he been like "Today i will go to Rodans volcano" Rodan would likely have attacked as well. From what i can tell Scylla was aggressive towards Godzilla, not being Territorial like Tiamat. 10) seeing how much backlash the movie has gotten for killing Tiamat, it could also be a marketing ploy to bring her back in the next movie to garner praise or popularity by fixing their mistake in GxK. Great video as always Goji! As a Tiamat Fan, I was pretty sad to see her get killed off in such a small timeframe. She basically didn't even put up a fight as well. Also is it a possibility that there are more Tiamats in the Hollow Earth or is it possible that Tiamat has some sort of regenerative ability like a starfish or smth.

@Goji , you bring up a good point regarding the link between Tiamat and the Ancient Kong. In KOTM, Tiamat was on the radar emerging in the eastern coast of the United States. So it's most likely probable that the Ancient Kong had died from natural causes or old age, rather than perishing against the mighty Tiamat for the claim of Godzilla's former lair.

No. Being classified as a destroyer means that the titan is more focused on harming humanity than doing them good. It's not about their traits or characteristics as a titan. Scylla wasn't classified as a destroyer first until she attacked a nuclear power plant. Monarch isn't on the good titans' side. They are on the human side. If one day Godzilla himself decides that humanity is dangerous and he starts to attack humans, he would be classified as a destroyer by monarch. All of Godzilla's abilities and traits can make him be classified as a destroyer. Tiamat was classified as a destroyer because she hasn't done anything good for the humans. Scylla used to be classified as protector because she stopped melting of ice bergs at the poles.

What if she was bloodlusted and had killing intent?

I love how in Godzilla 2014, they made a point that Godzilla feeds on radiation from the planet as opposed to the "evil" MUTOs who fed on the humans Nuclear weapons. Meanwhile in this movie, Godzilla just casually inhales a nuclear power plant.

Another thought to consider is the very possible likelihood that Godzilla would have returned Tiamat's lair to her, upon gaining the energy that he needed. The end of the film shows that he had no intention of taking her lair permanently, if he was, he would've returned there instead of returning to the Roman Colosseum to rest, especially with her being deceased and no longer an obstacle. IMO, had Tiamat cooperated with Godzilla and allowed him to use her home for a brief period of time, she would still be alive in her ice lair living in peace ( as long as she did nothing to piss Godzilla off lol).Also in addition to this consideration, the entirety of the surface world is Godzilla's territory ( unless I'm mistaken, feel free to correct me if I am) and the other titans who live in different areas of that territory, only do so because Godzilla allows it (due to the positive, nourishing effects doing so would have on the various ecosystems), so by that logic, Tiamat's lair doesn't technically belong to her, but it is instead being borrowed by her, from Godzilla.
The lair thing is kinda true, but there is a possible reason that Tiamat took that territory without permission whcih put her on G man`s bad list. Rest in peace Tiamat. My second favorite kaiju after the G man.
Since the radiation boost proved vital in the defeat of Skar King, I'd say Godzilla made a good decision here.

Hey Goji Center, will you be covering the Justice League/Monsterverse crossover comic? There are some interesting things to go over in it like the new alpha Skullcrawler and Godzilla's heat ray being able to seriously hurt Superman.
Maybe Godzilla sensed a greater threat looming and needed to conserve his energy or focus on preparing for that impending danger. In this scenario, Godzilla's decision to swiftly deal with Tiamat could be interpreted as him prioritizing his efforts and resources for the larger threat that he knew the real threat is approaching. It adds layers to Godzilla's motivations and strategic thinking within the MonsterVerse.
It's suspected that in the next movie, it's Godzilla focused and he's fighting an incredibly powerful monster possibly from space

If it’s not canon, then it’s not a piece of current monsterverse lore, more like an alternate one. Something that would be considered a piece of actual, canon “lore” would be jla/avengers, which is actively canon to both marvel and dc.

Scylla wasn’t really a threat to Godzilla. Godzilla let her power up a bit from radiation, and lo and behold, she challenges Godzilla. Tiamat was doing the same thing except she was an actual threat to Godzilla.
Godzilla learned and took care of her early while she was still powering up.

@@MightyContent6 Well, based on the movie, Suko is the same size or slightly larger than Kong from 1973, so he would be a good fit for the Skull Island ecosystem! In terms of speed and agility, Suko would be superior to Kong because Kong has longer forelimbs and this allows him, as you said, to throw large objects over longer distances and to use four limbs while running like modern apes, unlike Kong from 1973 who ran like a human on two legs.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the video. Realistically Godzilla had no reason to kill tiamat, and likely only did because the film makers wanted to add more Godzilla fights without cutting into the plot too much. Some points i believe are worth mentioning:
1) Destruction is a part of the natural order and killing Tiamat removed a likely pivotal titan from the balance of the world, as she is the most formidable aquatic titan.
2) Destroyers are likely territorial by nature. Look at Rodan squaring up with Ghidora as a prime example. Rodan attacked after being woken up and then went to defend his territory. If Godzilla was as smart as this paints him to be, he should understand that Tiamat was going to react aggressively to him essentially blowing her door down, pointing a gun at her and demanding her food.
3) Tiamat was done incredibly dirty, as a Titan that can supposedly go toe to toe with Godzilla in the water. And for her being evolved and then just get one shot by Godzilla is just disrespectful.
4) Tiamat is a draconic titan and thus has my whole support (this is humor, i do like her for her draconic look but that isnt a valid reason)
5) Godzilla more then anybody should understand how pissed Tiamat was going to be getting kicked out of a second lair, and still decided to go and kill her.
6) according to the movie, the earths magnetic field directs energy to Tiamats lair, however by extension there should be one also at the South Pole. Therefore, it was unreasonable for both to be in the same location. There should be an equally powerful resevoir at both the north and south.
7) Godzilla is shooting himself in the foot killing Tiamat, and was going off a baseless suspicion that Tiamat was going to challange him again. The Titans eat radiation and energy, so wouldnt you want to live right next to a grocery store? Tiamat was complient with Godzilla after submitting in the comics, and by extension it cannot be assumed Titamat was preparing to fight him again.
8) If somrthing like an Aqua Ghidora shows up Mothra cant help, and Kong sure cant. Eliminating your best fighter in the water basically means Godzilla has to 1v1 it, instead of guarenteeing a win with a 2v1.
9) Going back to point 2, it was never shown or stated Tiamat was aggressive towards Godzilla specifically, and that all of her fights with him were because of a Territorial nature default for Destroyers. Had he been like "Today i will go to Rodans volcano" Rodan would likely have attacked as well. From what i can tell Scylla was aggressive towards Godzilla, not being Territorial like Tiamat.
10) seeing how much backlash the movie has gotten for killing Tiamat, it could also be a marketing ploy to bring her back in the next movie to garner praise or popularity by fixing their mistake in GxK.

As a Tiamat Fan, I was pretty sad to see her get killed off in such a small timeframe. She basically didn't even put up a fight as well. @Goji , you bring up a good point regarding the link between Tiamat and the Ancient Kong. In KOTM, Tiamat was on the radar emerging in the eastern coast of the United States. So it's most likely probable that the Ancient Kong had died from natural causes or old age, rather than perishing against the mighty Tiamat for the claim of Godzilla's former lair.

No. Being classified as a destroyer means that the titan is more focused on harming humanity than doing them good. It's not about their traits or characteristics as a titan.
Scylla wasn't classified as a destroyer first until she attacked a nuclear power plant.
Monarch isn't on the good titans' side. They are on the human side.
If one day Godzilla himself decides that humanity is dangerous and he starts to attack humans, he would be classified as a destroyer by monarch. All of Godzilla's abilities and traits can make him be classified as a destroyer.
Tiamat was classified as a destroyer because she hasn't done anything good for the humans.
Scylla used to be classified as protector because she stopped melting of ice bergs at the poles.
