  • Pops with hot air, not oil, for a healthy, low-fat treat. Use regular or gourmet popcorn with terrific results - virtually no unpopped kernels. Up to 18 cups of gourmet popcorn are popped in less than 2 1/2 minutes.
    Butter melter doubles as a handy measuring cup. Chute directs popcorn right into your bowl. Base and cover simply wipe clean.
    Stock No. 04820. 120 Volts AC, 1475 Watts.

    Love it, the only issue I’ve ever had is right in the beginning when kernels are spinning and heating at least 20 kernels or so spit into the bowl before they all start popping. It’s hard to put back inside due to it getting hot. Any suggestions??

    • @PrestoAppliances
      @PrestoAppliances  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      All Presto hot air poppers operate by weight. If there is not enough weight in the chamber, the hot air will blow out unpopped kernels.
      Note: Some varieties of small and lighter weight kernel popcorn are not recommended for use with hot air poppers. Heavier kernels, like yellow popcorn, work best. You will have kernels that come out if you use white popcorn, and small kernels such as baby rice, simply do not pop well in this popper.

    I have this same Presto , and it makes chewy pop corn. It's sitting unused on my counter now.

    • @PrestoAppliances
      @PrestoAppliances  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Air popped corn will have a complete different taste than corn that is popped with oil like theater popcorn. It may taste 'chewy' or 'stale' - these are normal characteristics. You are able to add seasonings of your choice after popping is complete. Consider spraying a bit of ‘spray oil’ on your popcorn and then add salt or other seasonings. Flavored spray oils can be used as well. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact Presto Customer Service Department Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Central Time by phone 1-800-877-0441.

    I got mine today and i tried it twice with yellow popcorn, using 1/2 cup the first time and a little less the second time. Both times a clump of corn got stuck together in the bottom and it started pouring out smoke, so i turned it off early. I had to turn it upside down to get the clump of popped and burnt kernels out

    I have the red PopLite. However, the best hot air popper I ever had was a no-name, $10.00 thing from Walgreens. It worked perfectly for years. Sadly, it was stolen by illegal aliens who did an extremely bad job on my apartment kitchen. Replacing that great $10.00 popper cost $40.00 at Amazon!

    • @PrestoAppliances
      @PrestoAppliances  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We understand your frustration with the cost of the new popper. Unfortunately, the cost of everything (not just Presto prices) has gone up the past few years with supply chain issues and the pandemic. We hope you are enjoying your new popper, however. If you have any concerns, we welcome your call or email. We are available weekdays, 8:00 - 4:00 Central Time. Call 1-800-877-0441 or email contact1@gopresto.com

      There is no such thing as an “illegal alien”, and if you knew that they were undocumented when you hired them, and you probably did, because the price was just too good to pass up, then you are just as culpable for your misfortune as the people you’re maligning, because you started off *breaking the law.* Next time, go with a well-known, established company, even if the price is higher, because as we all know you get exactly that you pay for, and you are a living testimony to that fact.
