As a fellow popcorn maniac, i love that you've made this video. I've always wanted to cook popcorn without oil but thought it needed really pricey equipment. Your video not only smashed my misconceptions, but you also made it concise while showing exactly the shots and narration needed.

LOVE mine!! My husband and I are popcorn HOGS, no joke and when my granddaughters are over they just love that I make "homemade" popcorn, LOL!! We have movie night and I make several batches also getting several flavored powders from Walmart.... nacho cheese, sour cream and onion etc. We spray on either a butter or olive oil spray first then the powder or regular butter then the powder for those not watching their calories. So delicious!!!

The second time I used it I tilted the machine back with an unopened can of tuna fish, ended up with twenty-one kernels...

This air machine suck. You don't get great buttery salty popcorn. You get dry air popcorn. And even when you add the butter from that little cup on top, the butter doesn't melt correctly and it only coats some popcorn. And it makes it guey the ones that do get coated. You have to do popcorn on the stove. That's the best way.

DO NOT PUT BUTTER IN THAT CUP!!! THEY'RE LIKE THE ONLY MANUFACTURER LEFT THAT DOES NOT USE BPA FREE PLASTIC AND IT ALSO CONTAINS STYRENE!!
You better off putting the butter in a ceramic bowl in the microwave.. The The butter will melt in only 45 seconds.. or you can use a stainless steel pot.
I've tested the machine and the plastic gets up to almost 170°The butter will have plastic in it do not do it!! I don't even know if I trust it when the popcorn comes out of the shoot The machine is known to even melt if it's left on too long so the popcorn could actually scrape against the plastic and you could be eating styrene and BPA..
Another tip the THE PLASTIC CAN MELT IN THIS THING PRETTY EASILY!! AS SOON AS IT STOPS POPPING SHUT IT OFF IMMEDIATELY!! WAIT WAIT AT LEAST 10 OR 15 MINUTES UNTIL IT'S COOLED DOWN AGAIN... DON'T AUTOMATICALLY START IT UP AGAIN... IT WILL MELT!!!
Like I said in the previous post I cannot believe like the only company left that makes popcorn machines with staring and BPA in it still!
How do they get away with this!!

    IT'S A LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS MACHINE..
    WHY?
Because it works great but they refuse to upgrade it!!!
FIRST THE GOOD. It continuously out pops the competition in terms of unpopped kernels.. The design is great!!
    NOW THE BAD!!
The machine was made around 2004.. THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING!!
When I say upgrade. I'm talking about the plastic, and no on and off button.. YOU CAN'T EVEN PUT AN ON AND OFF BUTTON ON A MACHINE ARE YOU KIDDING ME EVERY POPCORN MAKER LIKE THIS HAS AN ON AND OFF BUTTON!!
NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE PLASTIC!!
Did you see what it says on the side of the box!! It can give off traces of STYRENE AND IS NOT BPA FREE!! WHAT WORLD DO WE LIVE IN THAT WE HAVE TO LIVE WITH THAT STILL!! IT SHOULD BE BPA AND STYRENE FREE LIKE ALL THE OTHER NEW POPCORN MAKER MACHINES!! IS IT SO HARD TO MAKE PLASTIC WITHOUT THESE THINGS IN IT SINCE 2003!!
JUST MAKE THE SAME EXACT POPCORN MAKER WITH AN ON/OFF BUTTON AND WITHOUT STYRENE AND BPA LIKE THE OTHER COMPANIES.. THE DESIGN IS PERFECT JUST DO THOSE COUPLE OF THINGS YOU MORONS!!
It's like they don't even care about people's health!! Well they can't be bothered!! What type of a company would do that!!
    I just don't get it.

I was loving this machine and I thought it was really cool until then popcorn became like saggy, not crunchy at all. I haven´t used it much lately, sadly!

Hmmmmm. Interesting when that happens that's usually because the popcorn is getting older.. The fresher the popcorn the more crispy it is when it's popped.. popcorn in general only needs to be a certain temperature before it's actually popped and that's it.
The texture of it is usually from how fresh it is and if it's good quality or not... Yellow or white.. etc... I tend to like the yellow popcorn better... I actually have good luck with the Orville redenbacher yellow popcorn.. If you could store your popcorn in a airtight container one you can get all the air out keeping it fresh all the time is the best bet..
      Eating the fresher the better..
look at the expiration date of your popcorn.
Try buying a brand new batch of a known name brand good popcorn that says it's for hot air popcorn. If it still does it then you may have a valid point..
In my opinion THE BEST POPCORN YOU CAN MAKE IS FROM A STAINLESS STEEL FLAT POT USING OIL.... A stainless steel pot like a small pot not a big big one making small batches slightly smaller than what this popcorn machine can make. You cover the popcorn half with oil. When the first Colonel Pops You start shaking the pan back and forth as soon as you can count 3 seconds between pops you need to quickly take it off the burner so it doesn't burn You know just like the microwave..
Then at this point you can just put salt on it without butter and the salt and oil make it taste delicious without butter...
DOING IT THIS WAY YOU KNOW THERE'S NO STYRENE / BPA NO PLASTIC AND IT'S UNBELIEVABLE TASTING.. PURE TOTALLY PURE!! CHEMICAL FREE!!
I got the air popper because it's quick and fun for the kids and the grandkids.. real cheap to try and interesting EASIER. I really thought plastic wouldn't be an issue because of using hot air I WAS WRONG!!!
I'll be going back to my TRIED AND TRUE STAINLESS STEEL PAN METHOD..
One thing I learned in life and in this world.. ANYTHING THAT'S A CONVENIENCE IN LIFE IS USUALLY BAD FOR YOU ( TAKING THE EASY WAY OUT ) QUICK EXAMPLES MICROWAVES, SMOKE FROM A CAR PLASTICS, K-CUP, INSTANT COFFEE ( GLASS AND STAINLESS STEEL FRENCH PRESS ARE THE BEST ) CANNED GOODS, PRESERVATIVES, DIET FOOD, NON-STICK PANS,
ETC... I COULD GO ON AND ON..
Anything that's a convenience stay away from.. It's real simple The old fashioned way IS ALWAYS THE BEST WAY..
      ;)
