Its time to test the durability of the glass backed iPhone 8. Apple has claimed this is the most durable smartphone glass ever.... but does that actually mean anything? Is the glass so special that you wont need a case? OR is apples repair cost SO HIGH that not having a case would be more dumb than usual?
Ill give you a guess... and then watch the video to find out how easy the glass on the iPhone 8 breaks. This is the same glass that is used on the iPhone X so it will be interesting to see if the iPhone X glass is held in place by the same permanent glue as before.

A problem that broke my iPhone 5c was I dropped it from my bed which is quite high with a case on, perfectly fine, the day after I lost my case. My baby brother dropped it from a table at a restaurant. I think what caused it to break was the shock. I must say tho if your looking for a cheap well good iPhone, I definitely recommend the iPhone 5, 5c and iPhone se. Nice, well working phones... just be sure to get a case.

I work on construction sites so the environment is pretty tough is you drop your phone or tablet. Nothing but concrete and bare steel usually for them to land on, so i use a toughened glass front protector on my iPhone 6 which works very well and a close fitting back guard which wraps around but leaves the buttons available as i hate the over button feel. My tablet however does get a full front and back tough case with a built in kick stand, it has rubbery corners and gel inserts and it works really well, its water resistant too and the only pain is exposing the charging socket. Most smartphone and tablet manufacturers can take even a short drop onto a hard surface but the apple products do seem more vulnerable and a good case is essential

Wife has an 8. She had it out of the case because her current one was worn out (excuses). We were at Crackle Barrel and she slid it off the table. It fell flat on the floor. There was no visible damage, no glass breakage. BUT the rear facing camera had lines in it. It was not the lens cover on the case (which Jerry scratches), but the CAMERA itself. Costed $106 to repair at uBreakIFix. They ordered the camera, we came back a week later, they installed it in a couple hours, phone is good to go. So with all these drop tests, the Camera can be damaged, even if the glass case survives.
