Ensuring you go to the ground on your terms is very important within a practical context.

Would you go as far as to say that allowing being taken down in a manner where you have at least some control on landing and force would be acceptable? That's my personal thinking, I would not enjoy being suplexed on concrete, I'd rather go down with something easier on myself, live to fight for another minute.

      In my utmost humble opinion.
“ The lesser of two evils”
“ Fighting is relativity in motion, therefore never expect only respond as it one’s opponent within context that dictates tactics”
Very pertinent and valid point indeed, and I highly concur.
After working security for over a decade, and one learns pretty fast that one does not have the comforts of where/ when/ how the altercations will play out, learning to dictate some of the outcomes are highly valuable skills to obtain indeed, and implementing basic sacrifice throws( Kimura traps) Sumi Gaeshi’s can indeed be life savers, i always had the same notion in regards to this mindset, that I rather decide( if I can) and if I have to, to fall on my own terms, and possibly negate some of the damage taken, than getting thrown/ sweep’d/ swept/ with ill intent/full force and simultaneously ending up on the ground in a severely compromised position, with full GnP/ head stomps/ multiple opponents raining down blows upon oneself.
So learning to fall, scramble/ ie wrestle and combine it with fundamental throws( Ref Matt Thornton: Base/ posture/ connection) and self defense based BJJ has indeed saved my life on many an occasion 🙏🏻❤️.
      Sincere regards.

Sir I would like to ask something. If you want to whizzer your opponent like in the vid, which hands should I whizzer. ? Do it depend on the opponent's head? I'm a Right hand dominant

I wish I could understand my academic professors half as much as I understand Brian Peterson.

You are correct about staying on top of your opponent not just sitting on your butt and rolling. I subscribed to your channel because you teach clinch work so well with great detail that I have been using some of the takedowns and clinch work for my karate students. This is good stuff for the street as well. Thank you Coach.

    quality of teaching = excellent
request..incorporate the armbar without having to hit the ground..the shotgun armbar ( from the whizzer?)
so from a street pov you dont put yourself in more danger by going to the ground
    thanks

I've been doing judo for years and I feel like my problem is that with Uchi mata I mix it up with hane goshi or I don't have enough closure on the body or incorrect angle on the throw (especially with the whizzer grip)
