Thank You I am 66 years old considered a senior, I don't feel like a senior at all, but I am a rookie at MacOS and I was able to install Ventura on my MacBook Pro 2013 flawlessly. I am very Greatfull to you and the whole team especially with your soft voice and your detailed explanations throughout the video, spending the time putting this all together for us rookies. Very Much appreciated Thank you Raheman
I am 71 and I managed to make it work...though I don't really know how I did it. Like bowling for the first time and managing a strike with the first roll of the rock. But I am so grateful to all the people that made this happen. I love my Macbook Pro (2012 mid) and now get to keep on loving it. I also plan to make a contribution to Open Core. Saved me and everyone else a lot of money. Carry on!
Thanks! My 8 yo son can now use Swift Playgrounds on our MacBookPro 13” Retina from 2015. With a dual core 2.9GHz and the 16GB RAM and an upgraded 970 EVO 2TB NVMe, it is certainly still a capable computer with a nice keyboard. He has been using his iPad with the small 9” display and floppy keyboard for playgrounds and has gotten excited about typing and having a “real” computer. I can’t wait to show him tomorrow morning!
Your whole team is amazing, I wish everyone knew about this, I always tell my friends and people I meet with unsupported macs to get into this!! Thank you for your efforts. I wholeheartedly appreciate it.
Thanks! Your video helped me overcome my technical fears and will hopefully let me enjoy my iMac for years to come!!! I had no idea this was even possible till I found your video. And your voice is so soothing!:)
just installed ventura in my imac 21,5 late 2013 and works even faster than big sur, which i’ve been using almost half a year and installed back then because of your really HELPFUL tutorial. btw, continuity camera is working absolutely fine with my iphone 13 mini on ios 16.4 :) stage manager, airplay on mac, everything works absolutely fantastic in this machine. and even boot time was surprisingly good! only 30(!!!) seconds with an internal ssd! no worry guys, come on and give your mac a second chance to live! HUGE thanks to mr macintosh and all the developers! i really appreciate your job! feels like i bought a new mac, happy as a child :)
What an absolutely wonderful service you are providing, and the quality of this video and instructions are top notch! I have one question/suggestion. Considering the importance of properly backing up one's system and creating rescue media before attempting an update, have you considered creating a step-by-step tutorial for that? No doubt there are countless videos from other creators covering this process, but you explain things in such a clear and dare I say comforting way, I think it would really help your viewers to cover all their bases without having to search out other content. Forgive me if you've already made such a video; I could not find it.
I hope you’re doing well, I was wondering if you can help me out I updated my computer with “legacy patcher to Monterey and everything is perfect, the only thing is that “legacy patcher has blocked us from booting to our system restore window, and I came across online that you’re able to enable this function. Do you happen to have any idea how it would really mean the world if you could tell me step-by-step how to do it Because if this is disabled, then having a time machine back up, doesn’t really matter now because we can’t get to it. Really hope you can help me out.
Hi, been longing to see this update. Thanks to the great efforts of Team OCLP and Mr. Macintosh!!!🎉 Just installed on my MacBook Pro 15” mid 2014 11,3. Everything works great after the upgrade except for continuity cam. Doesn’t show anyplace to connect with my iPhone.. Is anyone else facing this problem??? Thanks, Loving the dedication for the continued support!
Hello Vaibhav! Thank you very much for the support!!!! I'm really glad the install went great on your 2014 MacBook Pro! I'm not sure if Continuity cam works yet as I have not had the chance to test it.
@@Mr.Macintosh Thanks for your excellent work! I also noticed continuity cam not working yet. Also Universal Control was unavailable, can I repeat the spoofing process that you showed in the previous version of oclp?
I have the 2015 mid 15-inch MacBook Pro, I also have the continuity camera issue in FaceTime, plus notification center not showing for me when searching for a setting in System Preferences, the list is empty.
Can you see the Nvidia Graphic card in the info tool? Could you run a graphic card benchmark with geekbench5? On my MBP mid 2014 only the Intel Iris Pro Graphic card is shown and the benchmark with Nvidia fails

Thank you, Mr. Macintosh. Ventura is now working well on my 2012 iMac. A few months ago I used your Open Core tutorial to put Monterey on my old 2009 Macbook-- which has also been working fine from day one. Thanks to you and to the whole team at Open Core for doing what Apple chooses NOT to do for its loyal customers! You are a natural teacher and every step along the way was explained clearly, slowly, and in detail.
I install it on MB pro 2012 and it works well. Also I install it on MB air 2013, it works, just youtube is not working on Safari, but I downloaded Chrome browser and youtube works on Chrome.
I was wondering if you could help me out, I got everything working, and I’m not complaining one bit, the only thing is that core Legacy patcher has blocked us from recovering to get to our time machine back up if needed, how do I go about step-by-step to enable us to book from system restore because at the moment it’s not letting me, I found out online that you’re able to enable dysfunction and core legacy patcher. I’m using the latest one please any help would be appreciated.
I’ve tried loads of tutorials on TH-cam and non of them work. This is by far the best tutorial on TH-cam,followed the steps and worked perfectly. Fantastic tutorial props to this guy
@@Mr.Macintosh please help me!!! I’ve successfully put Ventura on two iMacs and I MacBook using your tutorial. I’ve been given another iMac today,it’s another 27 inch iMac,it has 1tb hard drive (not ssd) I’ve gone into recovery mode and entered utility and tried to erase the hard drive and reformat the drive but the erase tab is grey,I carnt partition the drive as the tab is also grey. I’m starting to think the hard drive has failed or something, someone said about unmounting the drive but I carnt do that either,I’m stuck now. Please help 🙏
I can’t say enough about what you have provided for us here. Not only the software but perfect instructions on how to make it work properly. It worked exactly as you stated on my mid 2014 MBP. I even erased my HD and did a new install from the 16 GB Installer you described. Backed it up to my old Time Capsule. So very happy to not have to replace the machine to get MacOS updates. Thank you so much!👍
I was wondering if you could help me out, I did everything that the gentleman said, and everything is working perfectly, the only thing is that the legacy patcher has blocked us from using system, restore in other words, booting to our system restore window. I’ve seen online that there is a way of doing it, but to be honest with you I’m blind and it’s hard to find these things, and I can never use my time machine without this window being blocked, can you please tell me step-by-step, how to enable this and core legacy patcher I’m using the latest one
Installed MacOS Ventura (with your excellent step by step video) on my 2012 Mac Mini, 500 GB EVO 860 SSD and 16 gb memory. Worked flawlessly ! What is old is new again :). Thanks Mr Mac. You rock!
I'm 77, so i'm senior too. Following your tutorial, step by step, on another MacBook, I could upgrade my iMac 27" made in late 2012 (type 13,2) with 16GB and an SSD drive without any problem. Thanks a LOT! I cannot buy a newer iMac, being retired and somewhat short on cash. Thanks again!
I think it's important to note that Apple sold MBP 2015 models well into 2018. I purchased one Fall of 2018 and paid a hefty price. For these customers to only get up to Monterey OS is not what promotes a sense of loyalty. Basically, that's only 3 updates from 2018. Inability to have Ventura on a system that's barely 4 years old is unacceptable. Disappointment is an understatement. I am grateful for Mr. Macintosh and the people working on OCLP for their efforts.
On the same note, my computer is getting a Monterey update even now that Ventura is released. I think Ventura has a few updates that older computers dont have the hardware to implement. Overall MacOS tends to have smaller updates and I do not feel threatened that Apple does not provide the update to my MBP 2015
The second the last Intel Mac loses support, open core will no longer work sadly, apple will do what they did with the powerpcs, and stop supporting the Chip in newer updates
Totally agree with Rahman Lakhani's comment...I am 64 and I am new to Mac's. Just purchased a refurbished MacBook Pro Mid 2012 which I so happy to say is now running MacOS Ventura. Video was brilliant ....so very easy to follow without any issues during the installation, thank you so very much....keep up the good work that we so much appreciate.
Thanks again, Mr. Macintosh. Another great video. My 2012 iMac was acting up so I erased the SSD and did an Internet Recovery to MacOS Catalina, the latest OS it would allow . Then I followed your instructions and went straight from Catalina to Ventura using a clean install. Fantastic! Thank you very much.
I really have to give you your flowers 💐 right now. I have been working on this old Mac for over a week…. I’ve tried everything and every other suggestion in every other video. I must say I am very thankful I found your video…. IT WAS FLAWLESS! You got a subscriber for life!!!!
Excellent video once again Mr. Macintosh! Since you made one for OCLP for Monterey I am running this OS on my mid 2015 iMac and am very happy with it. Unfortunately my mid 2015 MacBook Pro that I also used with OCLP and Monterey died last week 😞I am not sure if I need Ventura yet, have to wait a while and check all new features and upgrades. The video you made is spot on and I can see the whole process has been even more streamlined now. Thank you for your extensive work and of course Mykola and the other developers. I totally agree with the fact we need to keep running old hardware as much as we can.
Thank you very much for your response Marcel!!! Agreed, with each OCLP release the App keeps getting better and the install process keeps getting streamlined. I'm not sure you go back far enough to remember the command line OCLP TUI app? now those were good times :)
@@Mr.Macintosh Sure I remember the TUI, I started the first experiments with the now deceased Macbook Pro with the TUI. Worked absolutely fine but current version makes it even more accessible to more people :-)
Thank you OCLP for your valued service. You extend the lifespan of Macs and reduce unnecessary e-waste that is clearly bad for the planet (and the average citizen's wallet). I have supported you via patreon and will continue to do so over time. You guys are heroes !
I was wondering if you could help me out, I came from Mojave to Monterey, and everything is working fine. The only problem is that if I ever want to recover myself from a time machine backup the system, restore window in other words, booting to system restore will not work because Legacy patcher has it blocked, do you know how to enable this in the patcher? And if you do, can you guide me step-by-step how to do it because if not, I can never use my time machine and it really means the world. Thank you.
I want to say THANK YOU for OpenCore Legacy Patcher tutorial!!! I have many older Macs that were fully functional that were in effect orphaned by Apple. Since I was “retired” by my company I can’t go out and buy a new Mac. So to all the developers of Open Core Legacy Patcher I want you to know how important your work is for keeping us current (operating systems) and secure with OS modern security. It means so much to me and others to be able to run current versions of software, browsers and good security. Thanks AGAIN!
We were given a free early 2015 13” MacBook Pro for parts some months ago, it had some evidence of water damage but the only failed component was the SSD module which we upgraded from the stock 128GB to a 512GB. Very usable on Monterey and even after upgrading to Ventura with OCLP, compared to my 2009 iMac which was totally unusable once updated to Sierra. I’ll never understand why they’d cut off Macs this recent, so the hard work is greatly appreciated and thank you for allowing them a way to stay up-to-date!
Late 2012 Mac Mini updated! Thank you for your excellent tutorial. I tried to follow others but they were all over the place and/or did not make complete sense. Love it! Thanks to you and all those who made this possible... you're awesome!
I have a 10,2 MacbookPro 13" Early 2013. I had a few hiccups with the install, it was stuck on the boot (Apple Logo with progress bar) and a couldn't find target disk during the install but in the end, it installed nevertheless. It just astounds me with the dedication from the crew of OCLP and also Mr Macintosh that I am able to install the latest MacOS with an unsupported MacBook. I just want to give a huge thank you with the support you're giving everyone with what you guys are doing. So, to everyone who makes this possible. Thank you, we appreciate it!
I work as a local computer consultant, and my niche is helping older folks with their computer issues. Many times a client will get a new Mac and give me their old one for refurbishing. Yesterday I brought home a 14,1 iMac (2013) which had topped out with Catalina. I went with the OpenCore patcher and installed Ventura without a hitch. The magic here is that this 9 year old computer now has another ten years of useful service. This machine has full access to all the latest apps in the Apple store, and even with stock mechanical 1Tb HD, it runs nice and snappy. I already have a buyer, it sold for $300. If this were a Windows computer of the same year and spec, I would be lucky to get $100, even if loaded with latest Windows. The used Mac market is lined with gold nuggets, especially with the OpenCore patcher hack. Thanks very much!
Absolutely amazing. Apple claims to be a company that doesn't want to have large amount of e-waste yet they stop supporting perfectly good hardware so they can get more sales. I just bought a new M1 iMac because I couldn't run the latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite. Not sure what I will use the old 2012 iMac for (now sporting a fresh install of Ventura). But I am excited about it nevertheless. Thank you for your hard work and for the informational video. I did run into a snag while installing at some point during the reboots it got held up and I had to force restart. It had an error about 3 times on the part where it said 29% remaining. After about 8 restarts it installed and now we're good.
I recieved a 2014 27 imac i7 with an R9 for free over a year ago because it had no screen on it. I finally got around to replacing the screen and on it. It’s super cool to see it running Ventura. It only took about 25 minutes for the entire process upgrading from OCLP Monterey. I will be looking at the computer some more tonight to see if it has any issues. I did have to install the post patch but that was it! thanks again to everyone involved in this project. I have been using OCLP now since Big Sur. I receive free broken computers from buy nothing sell nothing groups in my community. I then spend about $21 on a small SSD, and install OCLP on these computers and give them away to community members and kids. Most of the time I show them a quick down and dirty about how to update the computers and support them if they have any issues. OCLP is single handidly helping run nonprofits and intiatives in communities that need help. What an awesome piece of work.
Marc, I have to say.... what a wonderful thing you are doing for your community. Please keep it up and let me know if there is anything I can do to help!!! 👍
@@Mr.Macintosh The project started during the pandemic when I was a Development Director for a nonprofit in St.Louis City. Many of the youth I worked with needed computers to continue their education toward their GED at my center. I couldn't get enough grant funding to pay for devices and hotspots, so I started this project. After I left the NP, people in the community continued to reach out to me, and I no longer had any grant funding for devices, so I just started sourcing them from buy nothing groups. Sadly, I can't fulfill all the requests I get due to my supply only being free Macs, lol! So whenever I find something really cheap or discarded, I spend my own money on the device and SSD. I usually have spare ram to at least make them 8GB. I've ventured into fixing ipads as well when I am able to get them for free. Paper packaging and thinner boxes from Apple are not contributing to environmental activism; keeping devices running, although constant pushback from Apple is helping change the world. From a scientist trying to change the world one computer at a time, thanks!
If this hadn't randomly come up on my TH-cam recommendations, I would have never known about the OpenCore Legacy Patcher! I successfully installed Ventura on my 2013 MacBook Air today and it's working great. Thanks for this helpful video...I used it with the official instructions and the hardest part was just waiting for it to be done!
Install worked flawlessly on 27 inch iMac late 2013 - thanks to you and the team. Your point about not trashing perfectly useable computers and not wasting the planets resources is extremely important. I can afford new but want to leave some resources for future generations
@@TommyBG86 it communicates but seems I have to jump through a few hoops to actually see video- as I have camera on my iMac that might be complicating things
@@crackersb I upgraded from Big Sur - WifI was fine. However I think if you change from Catalina a full install would be needed as there has been a lot of changes in Big Sur and now Ventura. Good luck
Thank you SO much for your instructions. It was super-helpful. I have just updated a MBPro mid-2012 to Ventura with no problems whatsoever. It was a cinch to do. You've just saved this senior citizen a fortune now that I don't have to buy a new Mac laptop and dispose of this current 2012 version. Thank you once again.
@@Mr.Macintosh I was surprised that the DVD/CD drive was still working although I was prepared to forfeit that for the newer system. So, for all those with similar setups as I have, please be assured that your DVD/CD drive will still work after the update is done.
A lot of people including me getting an error after 2nd restart, ""an error occurred preparing the software update". I have followed every step a few times, still same issue. Please advice
**BY WATCHING YOUR VIDEO **Just installed MacOS 13.3 Ventura on an external SSD connected via USB 3.0 port to iMac 13.3 Late 2012 model with 16GB RAM and i7 processor. everything is working as a charm. thanks a lot for turorial.
Thank you Mr. McIntosh, one of the best detailed walk-through’s I have seen. I have a question for you or any of the other commenters here. Do you know whether or not this installation will work with the latest version of Xcode for writing Ventura apps that will be accepted by Apple? I have an M1 Mac Mini as well, but I currently do most of my programming on an (unsupported for Ventura) Late 2016 MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro 460.
@@TerryHenderson Yes, Sorry, AMD Radeon Pro (I started typing then looked it up and forgot to delete Nvidia, whoops). You clearly know about graphics cards, you wouldn't happen to know about Xcode, would you?
@@Mr.Macintosh I suspect it will run. The real question I am asking is if it can be used to compile and submit apps to the App Store or for signing. I will probably just use the M1 Mac for submitting applications and use the Monterey based MacBook Pro until it becomes a hassle (by not being able to run Ventura based code) and then use your great walk thru to upgrade 😀. If anyone has any experience, though, with Xcode (good or bad), I would be very interested to know.
I upgraded my mid-2015 MBP from 13.0.1 to 13.1. The new release showed up in my System Settings => General => Software Update. I installed it from there. After the reboot, I was prompted to install the root patches. I clicked on yes, the patches were installed, and I was prompted to reboot one more time. The entire process worked flawlessly. I first followed the instructions in this video to use OpenCore Legacy Patcher to migrate my MBP to 13.0.1 about 3 weeks ago and have not encountered a single problem. It just works. The video is fantastic and the OpenCore software is amazing. A great experience.
Hello Mr Macintosh, Greetings from Down Under, First of all I like to thank you for your services in helping me (and many others like me) for preventing discarding ‘old’ faithful Macs from going to landfill, because of Apple not supporting them. I upgraded two macs (one MBP and a 27inch iMac) both of 2012 vintage to Ventura under your guidance and working beautifully! Once again please accept my sincere thanks 🙏 for your services. Keep up the good work, With Kind Regards, Jay Panditharatne Melbourne, Australia Sent from Jay Panditharatne's iPad Pro
Thanks for the clearest presentation of how to do this kind of patch that exists. An old 10,1 MacBook Pro that is a gem for solidity, durability, lightness, keyboard backlighting, and useful ports like those for HDMI and SD Cards, like the newest models, feels new again with this Ventura implementation.
Flipping deck this worked a treat!! I can't believe Apple stopped me from updating my iMac and yet it runs Ventura absolutely perfectly! Amazing. Thank you for this video! :)
This is fantastic, thanks so much for taking the time to create all this content, I've watched a few of your videos & checked the resources on your site, and the work you (& your team?) do is brilliant! I'm currently running two mid 2012 13" MacBooks on unsupported Monterey (had some video playback bugs in Ventura in FCPX & Browsers), using Kyrptonite to run unsupported eGPU (overall it packs quite a punch for an old setup for modern video & audio editing). I managed to combine the EFI packages by installing/booting kryptonite into the temporary location that OpenCore Patcher writes its kexts/resources into, via the terminal installer for kryptonite - as it asks for OpenCore Build install locations. the ONE thing I couldn't seem to figure out was how to force the FireWire to boot (even when using OpenCore's Firewire Boot) - is there a way to override this or use terminal to enable? The MacBook I have has native Firewire ports.
Thanks to this excellent step by step video on how to update to Ventura with OpenCore Legacy Patcher. I am able to hold on to my Mac Mini 2014 with a built in SD Reader, it also features an upgraded 256GB SSD stick & 1TB Fusion HDD Drive which I find perfect for Photography. Newer Mac Minis do not have these features. Now I do not have to worry about Security issues. Thanks again.
Thank you so much ! Spent a fortune trying to get a music career on the go and without your help I wouldn’t be able to afford a new Mac ! Absolutely blown away that there are people like yourselves helping to stop this throw away culture and greedy corporations
Mr.Mac I watched you’re videos so much I memorized the steps once I saw that open core got support for venture I updated my Mac and then came to watch you’re videos on it. I love you bro keep up the most amazing work
Thank you for video and informing us of the Open Source project. I hesitated using this product before because of the complexity, but the new streamlined process was a huge improvement. Today, I updated my old MacBook Pro to Ventura!
This is unbelievable thanks ! Really can't afford to upgrade yet and forced to push apps through xcode, which conveniently requres a certain version all of a sudden to make the app live! of course my early 2015 macbook couldn't download the latest xcode as would not update to Ventura! until I watched and followed this! so thanks a lot everyone and the OpenCore team!
Thank you so much, loved this. Now my 2012 Macbook pro has been given a new lease on life. Had to do it twice as I did not connect it to the internet the first time, but second time worked perfectly!
To you sir, as an MacBook newbie (I'm buying the MacBook for my wife as a surprise gift.) I am so grateful for the breakdown of everything that you have aforementioned. It made have more confidence on what I must do on a MacBook Pro coming from 2012. So, I will try this out. Thank you for every detail that you mentioned on this video.
JUST BRILLIANT!!! I cannot thank you enough... having got an M1 mini, the old but trusty iMac was a bit lost as it just couldn't be updated enough... now it's part of the team and running Ventura!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much!! My 2017 MacBook Pro that I got with grant $ when I was in school, decided to quit. Nothing worked to revive it. I don’t have the money to get another hard drive to try that route. Someone was kind and gave me their 2015 MacBook Pro with an ssd hd. I followed your instructions and I’m back up and running with Ventura. Everything transferred from the cloud, so I didn’t lose anything.
Thanks to this superb video my mid-2015 retina MBP is running Ventura. What a great service both Mr. Macintosh and the OCLP team have provided. Many thanks and congrats to all involved. FYI I used an external hard drive for the installation and did an upgrade in place not an erase and new install. Worked without a hitch. I have a 1 TB internal SSD and 16 Gig of memory. Machine still runs great.
@@timrault Hi, Tim. It runs really well. I have noticed one thing but I can't definitely blame it on OpenCore and Ventura. From time to time (less than once a week), my wireless network connection gets hung and I need to reboot the laptop. Other than that, not a single hitch.
@@MichaelSacks-bo3bm Hello Michael, thank you for your answer ! That sounds great, I think I'll jump in on the installation process very soon. Cheers from France
Too professional in his field. The way in which he instructs is very interesting, every detail so that one can install the macOS correctly. These patches make a macbook pro 2102 run better than macOS Catalina itself.
Thank you, thank you, thank all of who made this app possible and available. I had practically stopped using the machine as often and felt it was outdated for good. This is truly wonderful work. I did not remove the old software and upgraded my computer. So very happy to not have to replace the machine to get macOS updates. Thank you so much! I wanted to get a Mac Studio to replace the Mac Pro 2013. I am glad that I have found this information.

wow, this is the video from the man itself well, living in a place which a mac costs year of 'minimum wage', to be able to keep on date with my retina 2013 (and not lose camera installing linux) is really life-saver, even more now that I got caught by a tech-layoff thanks a lot, great work
Thank you, my man. I've followed a few of your step by step guides for previous MacOS installs on my early 2011 MBP. Just like this video, they've been a big help and helped prolong the use of my MBP which still serves me well.
This s a great guide. Your voice is very calming and much needed. I did this on a imac 13,1 (late 2012) after 4 tries with an error (updater can not continue) I re-booted 4 times with option key held down and on the 4th time no error and it finally got me to the login screen. I had fully backed up everything with a time port. But i think i went slightly grey, so make sure you backup. And have a plan B. 🙂
Applied a clean install on a 2011 (Monterey) and an upgrade on a 2012 (Ventura). Took your advice on the SSD and both also have 16 GB of RAM. The outcome was excellent and avoided considerable cost. Thanks to the combined team for the attention to detail put into this project.
I appreciate everything that you do for the community. Your website has helped me out a bunch especially for work when I need to update patches for machines. 💯💯

Francis, much appreciated! Thank you for helping spread the good word
Thanks! Your video helped me overcome my technical fears and will hopefully let me enjoy my iMac for years to come!!! I had no idea this was even possible till I found your video. And your voice is so soothing!:)
just installed ventura in my imac 21,5 late 2013 and works even faster than big sur, which i’ve been using almost half a year and installed back then because of your really HELPFUL tutorial. btw, continuity camera is working absolutely fine with my iphone 13 mini on ios 16.4 :)
stage manager, airplay on mac, everything works absolutely fantastic in this machine. and even boot time was surprisingly good! only 30(!!!) seconds with an internal ssd! no worry guys, come on and give your mac a second chance to live!
HUGE thanks to mr macintosh and all the developers! i really appreciate your job! feels like i bought a new mac, happy as a child :)
Thanks!
Thanks, without your videos i wouldn’t have a clue of how to install this, thank you and the open core team
Hi, been longing to see this update. Thanks to the great efforts of Team OCLP and Mr. Macintosh!!!🎉
Just installed on my MacBook Pro 15” mid 2014 11,3.

I cant even imagine how bad the performance is on 2012 macs, if my 2016 15inch pro with 16gb ram has issues. Not worth it.
I install it on MB pro 2012 and it works well. Also I install it on MB air 2013, it works, just youtube is not working on Safari, but I downloaded Chrome browser and youtube works on Chrome.
Can I still use logic pro and phonicot pro if I open core legacy patch on an unsupported mac?
I have a 2012 imac updated to big sur and it runs perfectly. is it worth upgrading to ventura? how is the performance? thank you
I was wondering if you could help me out, I got everything working, and I’m not complaining one bit, the only thing is that core Legacy patcher has blocked us from recovering to get to our time machine back up if needed, how do I go about step-by-step to enable us to book from system restore because at the moment it’s not letting me, I found out online that you’re able to enable dysfunction and core legacy patcher. I’m using the latest one please any help would be appreciated.
I’ve tried loads of tutorials on TH-cam and non of them work. This is by far the best tutorial on TH-cam,followed the steps and worked perfectly. Fantastic tutorial props to this guy

Installed MacOS Ventura (with your excellent step by step video) on my 2012 Mac Mini, 500 GB EVO 860 SSD and 16 gb memory. Worked flawlessly ! What is old is new again :). Thanks Mr Mac. You rock!
That's awesome ANG B!!!! I'm so glad ventura is running great on your Mac Mini!
my 2014 mac mini is installing but i have diffculty
Same feeling buying a Intel in 2020 before the M1 even though they’re still supported atm
On the same note, my computer is getting a Monterey update even now that Ventura is released. I think Ventura has a few updates that older computers dont have the hardware to implement. Overall MacOS tends to have smaller updates and I do not feel threatened that Apple does not provide the update to my MBP 2015
The Intel Mac's are going to be not supported quickly. Apple wants Intel behind them quickly.
Worked absolutely fine but current version makes it even more accessible to more people :-)
Monterey is natively a free upgrade using the Apple update, not need for OCLP on a mid 2015
I have rarely heard and followed such a flawless tutorial. Such a kind, reassuring voice. Thanks a lot, everything worked perfectly.
I am stuck on the same can you guide how you fixed this progress bar thing?
Same
How did you get passed the Apple Logo with progress bar? I am stuck on this same step and have had no luck getting anywhere.
@@MrDanyalMughal where you able to get passed this? I am also having this same issue.
You're a hero to the resistance to built-in obsolesecence. So grateful for your methodical and organized tutorial!
Love the way Mr Macintosh explains everything. Going step by step through it. 😃
As soon as I hear that chime I know I’m in for a treat of a video. Thanks mate.

It’s Either Nvidia Or Radeon Pro, It Can’t Be Both ???
@@TerryHenderson Yes, Sorry, AMD Radeon Pro (I started typing then looked it up and forgot to delete Nvidia, whoops). You clearly know about graphics cards, you wouldn't happen to know about Xcode, would you?
@@toadlguy not really, I haven’t looked at it !! 😊😊
Hello @toadlguy I'm not totally sure yet as xcode has so many features. I have seen a few sucusssful installs of xcode on ventura.
Thanks!

Hello Mr Macintosh,
Greetings from Down Under,
First of all I like to thank you for your services in helping me (and many others like me) for preventing discarding ‘old’ faithful Macs from going to landfill, because of Apple not supporting them. I upgraded two macs (one MBP and a 27inch iMac) both of 2012 vintage to Ventura under your guidance and working beautifully!
Once again please accept my sincere thanks 🙏 for your services.
Keep up the good work,

Just upgraded my early 2011 Macbook Pro from Big Sur to Ventura. I works great so far. Thanks a lot for the videos tutorials

I have the same MacBook, have you run into any problems or experienced bugs running Ventura on it ?
@@timrault Hi, Tim. It runs really well. I have noticed one thing but I can't definitely blame it on OpenCore and Ventura. From time to time (less than once a week), my wireless network connection gets hung and I need to reboot the laptop. Other than that, not a single hitch.

Thank you , I really needed this, I had no idea how to upgrade Ventura on my outdated MacBook bro , your a lifesaver , the only thing I would like to highlight is that I had no idea it was supposed to reboot 3 times until it booted to Ventura . So I panicked because I thought it was looping at the same spot for no reason 😂, but I finally figured it out!
I am sooo grateful and glad that you guys exist ... A HEARTFELT THANK YOU for this fantastic solution for my older Macs !!! Not having thousands to splash on new Macs, it is such a relief knowing that I can continue using my MBPro13" 2012 and my iMac 27" 2015 with the latest OS !!! And it works great too ... !!! Huge Thanks again 👍👍👍
Your instructions were wonderful. After days of truing to figure out the process your TH-cam video was clear and straightforward.
wow, this is the video from the man itself
well, living in a place which a mac costs year of 'minimum wage', to be able to keep on date with my retina 2013 (and not lose camera installing linux) is really life-saver, even more now that I got caught by a tech-layoff
thanks a lot, great work
Thank you, my man. I've followed a few of your step by step guides for previous MacOS installs on my early 2011 MBP. Just like this video, they've been a big help and helped prolong the use of my MBP which still serves me well.
Fantastic and so straight forward. Upgraded from Catalina using OLP 0.6.6
Simply great!!! Just updated my «MacBook Pro Late 2013» - and my «iMac Late 2013» due this weekend!
Hey man. Amazing video. It worked EXACTLY as you said and I am doing this in late 2023. Yippee!!!
hello Mr. Macintosh,
Thank you for your great tutorial videos.
On old macs, imac8.1, macmini 3.1 and 4.1, macbook 6.1 and 7.1 (did that the last two days) you can use the macOS upgrade from Monterey 12.6.2 to Ventura 13.2, you do not need a fresch USB install. Works!
Greetings from Stuttgart, Germany, Oliver
Thank You so much!!
I can keep my computer, it’s still in GREAT CONDITION, Yayyyyy!!!!
You are a GREAT teacher, you were easy to follow, you voice is EXCELLENT, you didn’t rush through this!! I appreciate you!!!!
Tested Monterey on a 2011 Mini the other night with great success! Currently going through this video and working on getting Ventura on a 2011 MBP | 500gb SSD + 12gb RAM. Should be a treat! Great walkthrough as always! Consistently clear and easy to follow.
