Transporting vehicles using boats in the Indian Ocean from Lamu Town to the Mokowe mainland jetty

The video depicts what the Lamu people are doing in their pursuit for daily bread.
Sometimes they do the unimaginable, including ferrying vehicles on boats from Lamu Island, across the vast Indian Ocean to the mainland, and vice versa as is portrayed in these videos.
This is the Lamu County Commissioner, Joseph Kanyiri’s official GK vehicle. The land rover had to be substituted with a brand new land cruiser brought to Lamu by the national government.
This is a risky cargo but they are forced to do such kind of activities in order to earn a living.
