When I saw piranha pursuit I literally wanted to die. The concept it actually amazing but definitely not for a 1v3 minigame. It’s so unfair for the team of 3 it’s honestly so frustrating. The obstacles aren’t hard to dodge, Petey piranha goes extremely slow. It’s not fun having to ground pound for a whole 30 seconds. The skateboard goes slightly too fast. Messing up on the skateboard barely helps for the team of 3. The minigame would’ve been a lot better if it was a free for all where everyone is on a different skateboard and each being chased by a group of petey piranhas and then avoiding obstacles at the same time going down a slope and then whoever makes it to the finish first wins, OR just completely remove it from superstars and top 100

Honestly the original Cast Aways was not that bad. You had nothing to lose and could gain a lot of coins, I did really well 1 time and got like close to 30 coins. Tug o War and Paddle Battle on the other hand I could understand why everyone hates them. The NPC is rigged to do better than you 90% of the time and it’s so easy to hurt yourself or break your controller.

I can see why "MP IQ" is bad, but if they change the questions to be more balanced, it would make a really fun minigame, since I'm pretty sure you can give an answer even before the text has finished appearing. And the "The beat goes on" seems way better than you described. I haven't played that minigame before, so I don't know how slow it actually feels, but in the footage you used, the combination of buttons are pretty easy to remember, so that could be why it lasted so long ("B, A, B, Z, B, A, B, Z" with one exception is not that hard), if they made it so you can use more buttons as input in MPSuperstars (A, B, Y, X, ZL, ZR) and made it faster (if the game is slow), it would make a great memory game.
8:36 I was really expecting you to put the Bowser Jr boss fight in from Mario Party 9, it's just hitting a dice block, but it lasts for SO long!!! But good ranking, even if most of these I haven't played 😄
I audibly screamed "NOOOO!" when I heard the music of MP3 for the IQ minigame. I love that one so much, it's the epitome of 'testing your patience' and I love the variety of questions listed!
Great list, all these you mentioned are definitely not fun. And what's ironic, Tug O War and Mecha Marathon are actually confirmed to both be returning. I personally hate button mashers so seeing MM come back really upsets me. Anyways keep up the great work!
Out of the 4 rotating minigame from Mario Party 1, I think Castaways wasn't really that bad to be honest since it was just a coin minigame where all the players just have to collect Coins.
MP IQ reminds a lot of a game from "Mario and Sonic at the 2012 London olympics" or whatever it's called. I don't remember the name of it, but basically you get questions about a Mario or sonic character, they can be super simple or the most random thing ever, and you get more points the quicker you answer. Basically if you actually take time to think you don't get any points anyways.
Another video I wasn't expecting still though great video! Next time can you do the top 10 best minigames that should be in mario party superstars? Edit: Also when you showed how you should use those rotating the controls stick minigames was that really blood?
Good list, all of those aren’t fun mini games. I forgot to do it in the last video but here is my ranking for the Mario party games, that I have played. 6th. Mario Party 10 5th. Mario Party Star rush 4th. Super Mario Party 3rd. Mario Party DS 2nd Mario Party 8 1st. Mario Party 9
Crane Game is even worse because if you center yourself right, you get a slight mashing advantage when holding your grip. So even if you are the worst masher in the group, you can still win Crane Game as the one.
Personally, I don’t like Heat stroke from Mario Party 5 because of the opposite reason. If the 3 players just stand as far to the left as possible where the fire enemies won’t appear, they’ll have enough time to react that it becomes really easy for them imo
You forgot Roll Call, on another note I remember my father dumping rubbing alcohol on my skinned palm due to Mario Party's stick rotation and taking the game away from me.
you know mario party is great when the top 10 worst minigames are actually pretty great. I do think the mp1 "rotate the stick" minigames are fun, but wow yeah it doesn bring some bad memories
Ohhhh my. Right off the bat. Candlelight Fight. As someone who regularly replays Mario Party 4 and 6, I can say that minigame may be one of my least favorite ones that isn't a button masher...
the mashing ones one mecha marathon and pokey pummel are a fan favourite though. everyone I know loves them and online polls. this is the first time im hearing otherwise.
CPUs are absolute gods at button mashing, the only reason I can think of for this is that it's easier to program CPUs to be difficult in button mashing minigames than it is to give them AI for other types.
Wow so many great minigames on this list. Wasn't this supposed to be a bad list. The number games with no tension I get, but Heat Wave, beat goes on, mpiq, even rudder madness and candlelight have all provided really fun matches.
the bigger issue with triva games like that is it becomes a speedreading competition more then anything. who ever read the question and anwers first wins. and the same person will win every time till the other players start randomly gussing
I am very exited for superstars, you should rank the origami king bosses or areas some day. I love the origami king bosses, characters, music, areas, and story. Superstars is what the top 100 should have been
Just out of curiosity, why didn't you include any minigames from Mario Party Advance, Ds, Island Tour, Star Rush, or Super Mario Party? They all have some minigames that suck like don't wake wiggler and that microphone minigame from Island Tour.
If “all you do is rotate the control stick” in cast aways I can see why you hated it. That is a skill based game with rotating. You can get over 50 coins if you’re good at it. Unfair maybe but not just mindless rotating like the other 3. Solid list overall.
Cast always gas always been a brutal minigame for me. The problem is that even with just a little back of my joystick, i go to the 3rd level (the one's very far away). And i hate it because it is on MMS !
Liked the video, but the absence of Honeycomb Havoc from the list instantly makes it a Miss! I'd rather play MPIQ, because at least there's a press-the-button-faster-to-answer factor instead of sitting there waiting to get dunked on by the damn bees. NOT THE BEES!
While I do mostly agree with your list I have to admit I love Castaways. Easily one of my favorite coin collecting mini games in the entire series. The joystick rotation on that one never bothered me as I found my thumb to be perfectly fine for that type of game. It's the others where I had to use my palm.
For heat stroke just stay as far left as possible and only jump if the one player fully swings his hammer and you should be safe most of the time. Crate and Peril is the most one sided one vs three ever. Literally impossible for the three if the solo player is a human.
04:48 Yes!!! SO god damn yess!!! I HATE THIS CURSED MINIGAME so much... back in my n64 days i NEVER beated it and so never finished the minigame rollercoaster...
i'm partially-disabled in my left hand, (picture a crab-claw with 3 stubs, each a different size.) so i naturally used my palm for the N64 joystick. never got blisters from that. except for playing billy hatcher and the giant egg on the gamecube.
You're using the wrong strategy for Heat Stroke. You don't need to jump before the hammer is swung. So long as you stay on the left of the platforms, you'll have plenty of time to react when the platforms are hit, and be able to jump accordingly. If anything, it's more in the three's favor than it is the one's.
Worst from each Mario Party: 1: Stick Rotation Games 2: Crane Game 3: MPIQ 4: Fruits of Doom 5: Vicious Vending 6: Crate and Peril 7: Number Crunchers 8: Rudder Madness 9: Pedal to the Power 10: Magma Meltdown DS: Soil Toil Super: Suit Yourself Superstars: Piranha’s Pursuit
@@turboshazed7370 Pitifall is easily number 2 but crate and peril is impossible for the team of 3 if the solo player is a human. I’ve tested it hundreds of times with friends and it’s physically impossible.
I’m disappointed stick and spin didn’t make it. My friends picked it for our first mini game in superstars and it went on for an hour, neither wanted to give up and I got bored
The rotation wont hurt if your playing in virtual console, consoles with joystics like wii and wii u have more rubber, softer L sticks (wiis l stick is called the C Stick and is only acsessible if you have the nunchuck)
On the other hand, the 3DS and Switch are infamous for having sticks made out of matchsticks, so the rotation games had no business in Top 100 and don't belong in Superstars, either.
"It's a draw" - well, in Superstars, everyone would win 10 coins from it.
That's an improvement
Draw should be when its a survival based minigame and everyone dies. But if everyone survives then everyone can win 10 coins. That should be ok imo.

CPUs are absolute gods at button mashing, the only reason I can think of for this is that it's easier to program CPUs to be difficult in button mashing minigames than it is to give them AI for other types.
The Beat Goes On and M.P.I.Q are two my favorite minigame from Mario Party 3... Maybe you just have a bad memory ;)
Those are bad minigames
Wow so many great minigames on this list. Wasn't this supposed to be a bad list. The number games with no tension I get, but Heat Wave, beat goes on, mpiq, even rudder madness and candlelight have all provided really fun matches.
I like the beats goes on 8:43
Tug o war is confirmed I believe, let's just hope it's at least button mashing
It probably won't
It's still Joystick Rotation. Same with Cast Aways
Love the Bette Davis reference 💋
Rotation stick minigames. Enough said
Exactly
@@InfiniteBits If you ask me, if Nintendo wanted MP1 on the virtual console, they should've mapped the joystick rotation to button mashing
Yep
RIP Joy-Cons
Two minigames returns in Mario Party Superstars. Tug o War and Cast Aways
Mecha marathon has no business in Superstars
Damn right!
@@InfiniteBits my guy I jus found out Mecha Marathon is in fact a mini game in superstars, Nintendo’s letting us down already man 🤦♂️
the bigger issue with triva games like that is it becomes a speedreading competition more then anything. who ever read the question and anwers first wins. and the same person will win every time till the other players start randomly gussing
10:00 My cat hates your recorder rendition.
Hell yeah! Mario Party 6 leaves the list unscathed! 🥳🎊
If “all you do is rotate the control stick” in cast aways I can see why you hated it. That is a skill based game with rotating. You can get over 50 coins if you’re good at it. Unfair maybe but not just mindless rotating like the other 3.
Solid list overall.
Whenever mecha-marathon comes on, I just admit defeat ANF put down the controller. Better not gain 10 coins, than to strain my hand

Yes!!! SO god damn yess!!!
I HATE THIS CURSED MINIGAME so much... back in my n64 days i NEVER beated it and so never finished the minigame rollercoaster...
Well guess what, it's back in Mario Party Superstars
i'm partially-disabled in my left hand, (picture a crab-claw with 3 stubs, each a different size.) so i naturally used my palm for the N64 joystick. never got blisters from that. except for playing billy hatcher and the giant egg on the gamecube.
What could make the stick rotating mini games even worse is that this could cause our switch controllers to get joy con drift
Well you see Mecha Marathon and Tug o War are both confirmed to be in MPS so....
While not a minigame,I hope that Partner Party will be in it. It probably won't,but that was the best Super Mario Party mode for me
Worst from each Mario Party:
1: Stick Rotation Games
2: Crane Game
3: MPIQ
4: Fruits of Doom
5: Vicious Vending
6: Crate and Peril
7: Number Crunchers
8: Rudder Madness
9: Pedal to the Power
10: Magma Meltdown
DS: Soil Toil
Super: Suit Yourself
Superstars: Piranha’s Pursuit
Pitifall from 6 is infinitely worse.
@@turboshazed7370 Pitifall is easily number 2 but crate and peril is impossible for the team of 3 if the solo player is a human. I’ve tested it hundreds of times with friends and it’s physically impossible.
i swear to god dungeon duos better be in superstars
Edit: OH MY GOD DUNGEON DUOS IS HERE YESSSSS
Cast aways, tug of war and mecha marathon all got added
I’m disappointed stick and spin didn’t make it. My friends picked it for our first mini game in superstars and it went on for an hour, neither wanted to give up and I got bored
The rotation wont hurt if your playing in virtual console, consoles with joystics like wii and wii u have more rubber, softer L sticks (wiis l stick is called the C Stick and is only acsessible if you have the nunchuck)
Certainly better but not great
On the other hand, the 3DS and Switch are infamous for having sticks made out of matchsticks, so the rotation games had no business in Top 100 and don't belong in Superstars, either.
@@autobotstarscream765 that doesnt make sense as it has rubber l sticks like wii and wii u
Surprised you didn’t put vicious vending from Mario Party 5
I honestly could put almost every mini-game from MP1 on a list like this.
