    Nice! Really great job! I love that you can fly different blocks in BMS. They've done such a great job in this sim.

    • @AviationPlus
      @AviationPlus  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ya it's really nice. Looking forward to more cockpit differences between the blocks especially the 30s. It was difficult to get it close to 60 seconds a few extra but necessary steps.

    What a Legend.
    I've been playing BMS for years in Instant Action, because I only learned how to barely operate the radar in AA mode.
    Never had the time to go through the manuals to learn everything.
    After watching this video I was able to learn the startup procedure and do the ground ops TE mission.
    The only thing I needed to learn besides this to complete the mission was how radio communications work.
    Thank you.

      Glad you are enjoying and learning. Thanks for the good feed back and hope you will continue to play BMS and move towards multiplayer one day. You are in luck I have a video that covers the comm ladder. th-cam.com/video/Yc0_MkupW1A/w-d-xo.html

      And I wish the DCS Viper had a DTC but DCS DTC will work for now.

    The video is WAAAAYY too long, bro! Please skip all the excessive blah blah blah chit-chat and just get to the point! 😘 🤣😁🤣
    Nicely done! 👍🏻 This is perfect for someone that just needs a short and sweet run down on the essentials to get the jet up and running so that they can see what they did wrong/missed anything, despite the handful of Karens complaining to the contrary.
    After having spent all day yesterday mastering the art of turning a perfectly fine F-16 into a smoky bonfire🔥 😳😭🤬 while trying to ramp start it, I figured out the main problem I was having and finally managed to not destroy the aircraft, but still messed up some of the avionics. 😅 This video showed me what I missed. As mentioned by another commenter, a longer version that goes into detail and explains the ‘why’ behind the startup process would be a nice supplement to this video.

    • @AviationPlus
      @AviationPlus  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ya this video is sort of a parody. 60 seconds is not nearly enough time to explain, now with Link 16 it is impossible.

    This video is pretty useful, but it would have been easier to go through it if you hadn't focused so much on trying to make it as short as possible. You cut off some things you did so that we could only see the switch after you clicked it and had to take a second to figure out which switch you clicked. Please consider slowing down in future videos. Overall, it's still a good video.

    • @AviationPlus
      @AviationPlus  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was kind of a joke to create. Some say that videos are too long even though they are only 10 min. But they would rather watch 20 one minute shorts. Thanks for watching. There are plenty of comprehensive start up tutorials out there however soon we are going to need an updated one.

    • @AviationPlus

      You need to make you have done a click dance to have the correct freq on your DTC and turn to the correct freq in the jet. Check out this video . th-cam.com/video/Yc0_MkupW1A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6WQUd2CmQImmYiKa

    No kidding, I didn't know the JFS would shut off if you close the canopy while it's running... Definitely not modeled in DCS! Is that universal to all vipers or specific to a particular block?

    • @AviationPlus
      @AviationPlus  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This seems to happen with all blocks in BMS.

    I do all this but it still won't start. Very on off about when it decides to do it. Flow is: Radios on, IFF Stby, Lights on, Eng Feed Norm, Air Source Auto, Batt -> FLCS pwr test, set radio up, MAIN PWR -> FLCS pwr test, JFS 2. but JFS 2 never runs. Any ideas???

    • @nobstompah4850

      also I usually go straight to start up after loading in, am I supposed to give the aircraft time to settle or something?

      Nope BMS doesn't have it. You can still do other things in the cockpit like set your IFF, IDM, and weapons. So there really isn't any time wasted.

      You seem like a smart fellow but if most of the buttons do not work then why did I include them in the start up?
