I wish you guys were able to dive into the formulas a little bit or at least give %% values. I know Dah Sol says that if you have 2 of one of the commonality drop that you are probably at max...which means you are at max. This is where the game gets frustrating. I don't get why they basically support the data mining of the game because if you want any type of direct %% or formula....you have to go to another site to get why you should or shouldn't use some characters breaks and/or damage moves. PUT A NUMBER on it, so we know, otherwise if you are just playing the game (not looking at Wiki and such) you wouldn't know a full break from Vaan from a single break from Basch, Timothy, or Mim has a massive difference. Sometimes I am surprised we can see 15 percent atk bonus materia from a 30. I am not hating on Dah Sol or Shaly, just frustrated that I have to refer to some entity other than Square-Enix/Alim/Gumi to get something that should be innately visible.

This video is not usefull in any way. The things you said are already in description. The thing I care about is: does increasing common items drop rate actually reduce rare items drop rates? Or are they treated completelly separatelly?

As Brian said they are on separate pools, in fact the item that pops out to the left is the rare item, right ones are common ones
That supports my theory. So when I need rare items I better build party of rare items boosters...

Awesome. This was a video I didn't even know I was looking forward too. It answered all the questions I had about those abilities.
Hoped for %enges like a Chance of 15% for common 3% dir rare + the Rate up % like 100% = 30% for commons or 6% dir rare something like that ...

I thought these abilities were useless but now I am going to awaken my Xon.
You should check the subreddit for this game, it's really useful and with more accurate info than these videos

Not that advanced players, but newbies-casuals wont get anything from upgrading tons of Xon so early or mid game
Still a bit too cryptic to understand completely, but thanks for the info. For instance, can you confirm common and rare items are from two different pools? If they are from the same pool, then how does Xon’s enhanced Master Thief +1 work, since it effects both? You suggested not bringing Xon in a common item party. That’s why I ask.
She wasn't referring to an enhanced Xon. If he is enhanced then that's all you need. All I use is enhanced Xon with Pod 153 and the cape. Most of the time when I farm sacred crystals on INT I get between 8 -11.
That’s the way I understood it previously, but the way she said it made me question it.
Ive noticed an increase in giancryst drops for me in the chambers with 2 Xon enhanced and 2 Lara's with a Locke, i think they are different pools since ive read that enemies can drop both rare and common at the same time in the chambers anyways but story events i dont even bother with more then the 2 Xons

So my farming party is 2 Xon - 1 equipped with Raven’s Cloak and Master Thief enhanced and 2 Lara Crofts and 1 Explorer Aileen. Am I not benefitting from this team? According to the information you gave... can I assume to get the same results with 1 Explorer Aileen ( common )
And 1 Xon ( rare ) with Raven’s cloak ( 2nd rare ) and enhanced Mater Thief ( 2nd Common ) as stated on bottom right bring two of these units/items? Or do I benefit from having the stated full party above?
What is the upper cap for the drop bonus? 100%? 200%? 300%?

Yes, exactly. Put a Raven's Cape and a Pod 153 on enhanced Xon and you got all covered. Takes only 1 spot on the party!

I am torn about this video.
There's info I already know about (which units to use to increase the rates); Dah Sol not sounding 100% (hope you feel better), he should be healthy when doing this, as I cringed a bit. Also, you left out that after you finish a story fight or exploration, any unit who has their TMR will get the player a bonus item; those who don't have their TMR also have a chance to snag an extra item.
With that being said, the enthusiasm in the video is really good, and that gets anyone excited about whatever is being addressed. That I cannot take away from here, especially when Shaly did an amazing job in her part throughout the video. I also like the tabs you use for the thumbnail for this video (although the BGN should have been added to this).
Keep it up with the enthusiasm and the tabs on the thumbnail, but I will also suggest that you do a bit more research on this and that all who do videos like this be healthy.
Some constructive feedback on this, that's all.

So video says use two units of each type, presumably that caps the drop increase, so enhanced xon with pod 153 and raven cloak maxes both drops by himself? It really isnt clear if increasing common drops can butt out rare drops but hopefully we can assume xons enhancement to include both wouldn't make him worse

Is it possible to implement Zero NRG Nemesis Vortex for competed bosses so you can practice defense and support vs “max damage”
What are the drop rates for both common and rare without any abilities? 10% and 1%? 20% and 1%? Common seems to drop fairly easy even without drop boost but rare is so hard even with boosts.
I think the devs put different rates on different quests, especially the vortex, and also some algorithm that can decrease drop rate if too many already dropped.

Okay, speaking as a woman, I personally think Dae Sol is cute but then, I really like shy guys.
I feel like I'm a little confused by the highlighted tip of: "Include two of these units in your party!" The implication here-- and it sounds like it was confirmed by Dah Sol right after, if I understood-- was that two of these units is enough to hit the "upper cap" on the Item Find chance? But that would mean that a singular Great Raven's Cape and Pod 153 would be enough by themselves to cap out these percentages, which the community research indicates pretty strongly isn't the case. I know it hasn't been the case for me personally, in my anecdotal runs of Chamber of Gems. Without pressing the issue into a hard "what exactly can you not tell us," could we get a clear and irrefutable confirm/deny that Pod 153 and Great Raven's Cape are supposedly enough to "cap out" Item Find chance without any other units in the party?
I appreciate you taking the time to elaborate even briefly on some of these things, in light of the fact that your hands are tied on revealing full details.
I believe what Dah Sol was trying to say is that 100% is the max increase. So using 1 pod and the cape is all you need. Personally I use Xon with aforementioned items. Anyone else I add to the party makes no difference.
I don't see how this could be the case when the community-gathered data implies that as much as 350% Item Find chance continues to improve the odds of drops. Also, why would you choose intentionally to go 50% over cap on both stat as a personal preference? lol
Because I have gone that route of adding other units. Then I took them out. In the end I dont see an increase in drops. If you mean why take Xon with the cape and pod. It's because he steals all and doubles Gil obtained. Therefore I'm getting 4 times the amount of Gil.

It's interesting but it miss the main question i had about it.
What is: If i increase the chance of droping commun item, is that decreasing the chance of getting rare item or is it 2 seperate things ?
Cause i can see 2 items droping from some units, but i'm wondering if they both can be Rare or they are inevitably one Rare and one Commun ?

TheGoodFella I think it is complicated. There are different drop rates for different quests, like story and vortex quests, not just two overall and everywhere rates for common and rare. Then the devs most probably included algorithms to decrease rates the more drops occurred too.

TheGoodFella if I were a dev, I would create an algorithm that will slowly decrease the bonus drop rate as more rare items get dropped, until the applied drop rate reach the base drop rate. Can't go under the base drop rate, that will be very scummy. If you think about it, the crysts vortex quests all go in this fashion, 4-3-2-1 or 3-2-1-1 enemies with the last enemy being the one that drop giantcryst. The algorithm basically average the rarity of rare drops to be about equal with many "just" rare drops or few "super" rare drops. But that is just me.

I don't think so, as the amount of coins you receive in those events are affected only by the enemies you defeat, and the multipliers of the bonus units you take along.

time 4:41, says 6* awakening materials rare, but ive never seen any 6* mats drop, am i reading this right? also dah sol say mats going from 5 to 6*.
They drop at a very low rate.
is this a recent change for pro? cause ive gotten over 700 holy crystals and not one 6* mat, of course i didnt think they dropped at all since they sell them in mog king shop

Some useful info since it’s confirmed by the developers via the video . Chamber of Gems, bring Xon and Chow or Lara Croft with the raven item. That’s pretty much what I need to know. Ability awakening farming

you need more free space; backup your photos/video, delete unused apps. it needs around 2gb or 3.5gb of free space. otherwise Ios will automatically clear cache.

When are we getting a non grindy event that is not raid, king mog or story event? People pay money to play and you guys can't create more original content, what is going on here? After you're done with story and trails, there's nothing else to do besides grind.
