Fix the Christmas event please. Most agree that it is not worth it in its current state. Increase the candy cane drops and/or decrease prices for rewards. Also, decrease candy canes needed to unlock winter story missions. (Like if you agree.)

That's ridiculous. Do you actually think that's comparable? A little added to drops and some decreased from rewards and story cost is not much to ask for at all. Be logical. Crafting one Joyful Spirit alone costs 3000 candy canes. I'm speaking for the many I have seen vent their frustrations but you are clearly speaking for yourself with that over exaggerated comment. At least have that demon cookie appear like once. Ive dont the Elite one like 20+ times and havent seen him once.
They said there's another stage coming that will give more canes than the ones we have now.

Besides those turn skips, that was awesome! Marlboro is my last trial, and this made me incredibly confident. Sometimes the ffbe youtubers rush through the beginning or use non TMR items from the earliest events no one played. Thanks for the help & ticket

elusive 3*... I chased Cloud (and didn't get him) and got 4 Williams and no Conrads, TDH meta left me out
I started since it came out and I never got a Cecil until now. You can see how bad lucked I am.
I only ever pull mage 5* units my irl friend only pulls melee 5*. I've been saving all of my tickets and lapis for Sephiroth, but he asks why since I know it's coded that only he can pull him. 😢

Noir Rain it's there team comp in general go watch evillaughter same set up and everything but ayaka. Yeah I know anyone with duel trances can do it its how o did it. It's there guides are late until another streamer comes up with a good strategy then they use it.
Evils strat is literally the strat everyone was talking about for months leading up to Mystea's release. Only difference is that Cag wasn't known about at the time. Most had wilhelm and awakened wol instead back then. Everyone was waiting for Mystea's to beat malboro and posted when it worked, evil just made a video.

Thanks for the guide, I tried it myself just now and it is still possible without all those TMRs - no equip shield, no patriotic / resentment, just plain old hp +15% and vengeful wrath. Mysty only had 6300 hp and way less def/spr, only died twice, and Ayaka ensured that the reraise safety net was always there. The biggest annoyance was spark chaining, after resetting too much I switched to a macro.

Yep NBA Jam, I played the crap out of that when I was a kid. Always trying to shatter the backboard, can't remember if that was a real thing or a video game myth. Or I'd drop 3's, "FROM DOWNTOWN!"

I did the same strategy but with Roy Instead of Soleil and Veritas of the Earth instead of Cagnazzo. Roy will give you the MP regen you need to not use items. He also has higher Def debuffs to do more damage with your Trance Terras. Great job guys. Also, for perfect chaining I start tapping my fingers next to the two characters Im trying to chain with about three times back to back, then just shift my fingers over the Terras. I get it about 90% of the time that way.
For anyone who doesnt know killing with a limit burst is easy. The damage only has to go off after 0% it doesnt have to be the killing blow, if the animation goes off but the damage doesnt it wont count, same goes for esper kills.
Nice video! Roy was key for me doing this fight without using any items, my main dmg dealer was Onion Knight (not so good as TT, but I managed to avoid devour after the 50% threshold most of the times) but the star in this fight is Mystea. I don't know if the mechanics design team predicted it or not but she seems to be tailor-made for Malboro even if she is not a global exclusive like this trial.
Nice! After watching Evillaughter01's video i was going to try this strat as well. But my Trance Terra is still only 970ish MAG, 1-2 more TMR and I should hit 1k MAG.
Gerry Tanusetiawan I used this exact same group comp after watching EvilLaughter01 and the friend TT I was using didn’t have 1K magic but mine did. As long as your friend unit is strong and you are able to spark chain 970 is enough
You should be fine 970 magic is good as long as your friend is around 1k magic and you can dual cast chaos wave
970 mag is good because you're gonna buff with Soleill anyways. If you're too strong you might over damage hitting the next thrushold unprepared.

It's confirmed. You need Trance Terra and Ayaka to beat this trial
Levi Thao even then you still need plenty of good tmrs to buff your TT to 1k MAG. I have TT and Ayaka but if you can't kill minions in 4 turn, great marlboro devours Cagnazzo which makes the fight very hard. I tried twice and just ended me giving up after several turns. Plus you also need to get Mystea to 100% dark resist so you need another tmr for that, like angel earrings or equip heavy shield or armor for equipment with dark elemental resistance. In any case the rewards can wait for that one. Thats the only one i cannot beat right now. I will only try it again when im sure i have a chance.

Why don't you try Malboro with the units we had at it's release instead of using powercreep units to even stand a chance? :)
why would they do that? they're just trying to complete the trial and at the same time help new players with some strategies, etc.
I do however think that they should avoid using 5 star base units but i can see that they have been trying to do that considering that in the previous trials they were using some interesting units.

Once again, another video requiring TTerra. Are there no strategies outside of Pod 153 chaining, TTerra, GLSakura or Onion Knight?
To everyone that wants to perfect chain but finds it tough, search for Magnification gestures on your device and turn it on. it'll give you what feels like a little bit of delay to your inputs. You should now be able to EASILY perfect chain. With this I can perfect chain with tidus and camille or two onion knights 95% of the time. :)
I listed those two combos because they're known as being tough to chain.

I am not lucky enough to have a T. Terra so I couldn't beat the malboro until today that I could equip my Ang, he is a beast, he is the new king in town, I love that guy he is pure destruction when using fixed dice + loads of killer materia and chained with another Ang built as a true double hand and using Blaze Arrows you just see those malboros fall like they are nothing

at what point in time does she actually use tritelia wall on mystea???? if you look at 11:46 you see that mystea is unused, but that at 11:49 After clicking on soleil, mystea has already been used. This doesn't make any sense.

I can pull off what you set up here but I don't have a Trance Terra so who else can I use ? I tried Cloud, I tried Emperor and even Victoria. How do I get a Trance Terra to use with a Friend TT ?
GL Sakura was the perfect unit to help me beat Malboro. I put her TM on Noctis to build a consistent two turn LB spam with 12 auto LB per turn 100% lb increase and applying thunder flask spr debuff on the boss and adds also made it comfortable for my GL Sakura to chain kill the adds in 3 turns. WW Fina also perfectly compliments GL Sakura with her amazing hp and mp percentage recoveries.
Wouldn’t the smaller Marlboro’s be called Smalboros? 😂

7:13 what do you know about the Trial? She needs to mostly Tank Magical Attacks that do Physical Damage, so she needs High Defense not SPR
Just beat Malboro in 15 turns! Forgot to take Ifrit with me and had to use one Y-potion dang it! Soleil, Noctis, Trance Tera, Garnet, Mystea, friend Trance Tera.

For all my Trance Terra-ers; TT doesn't need to Duel Wield to break 1k Magic.
I kept on messing with my equipments and unit calculations.
If you are DW-ing rods to break 1k magic, try unequiping the second rod.
Materia: Replace the DW with Hat Arts.
Accessory: Magical Crest and 30+ Mag. Not 30%

Wait how did you survive when cagnazzo was devoured?
It'd be so nice if they'd implement a "link" ability to help out with difficult chainers, so that if you tap one character, the linked character will activate at the same time. A part of me can't help but feel like the Spark Chain mechanic was a mistake, since it largely just promotes players to use tools outside the game to hit those spark chains all the time. Meanwhile, players that stay within the bounds of the game essentially have to rely upon laggy inputs within their devices to hit those perfect chains. No amount of tapping skill will allow for consistent, legitimate spark chains.
Another easy fix would be if the developers would just allow for the frames to more easily chain with each other, similar to how Divine Ruination/Dark Retribution-like chains are. Otherwise, some of these difficult chains are basically Spark Chain or Bust, which I think is incredibly problematic from a design standpoint.
Kyle Annen i can spark chain with my own fingers. I used two of the same units and can most of the times spark chain

I can spark chain with tt with the help of lags that animations from other units cause while using their abilities,i just make sure the chainers are beside each other in other to do that ,but there's also this little trick called "magnification gestures" that helps you spark chain on android.
You can also spark chain by using a order of progression. And all you have to do is find the order in easy battles for each of your fighting groups.

You can also dish out huge damage using 2 aoe chainers (i used 2 pod153) + 1 setzer with killers, its how i killed malboro back then.
It's easier now that mistair is out tho, which is cool :)

I just finally beat marlboro today😄!! Used my Christine and friend trance terra. This fight is just a Pain in the butt. You HAVE to kill the little ones on turn 4. Even if your stronger you have to wait till 4. Cause they'll come right back and you'll have a then to kill them and that probably won't happen and then bye bye provoker. And don't even get me started on 50% threshold lol. But, I can be done. Just a little luck👍 only a year and a half of playing later

Did this not so long ago. Used a 9000 HP 614 DF Wilhelm. 900 atk PG Lasswell whit world destroyer equiped. A fully encanced Maria. An Ayaka. Mines and my friend Christine for magic chaining whit 850 and 950 magic. What bothers me about it is that there is not challenge in this fight, is just a process of steps. You need this units to clear this steps, you need this skills to clear this, you this stats to clear this steps. Now that you have all those requirements you can't play however you like, you must use them the way it is meant to be, and the moment that is meant to be. So all I did was hoard the necessary requirements and play the way the fight wanted me too, that's just boring. Why would you want to hoard all that stuff just to do what others want you to do.
Hopefully with the 5* ticket I pull another TT or get an ayaka.

Well you try working to make the game / content and see if you have the time to farm everything needed for this in time.
You do realize that just about all games have a "test" device to "test" and make sure things are working properly. Its probably used to test the servers before they go live during maintenance and/or test to "duplicate" bugs players experience as well. Either way, they use it to "potentially" give all of us a free ticket upon beating each trial so why are you complaining. lol

Excellent job at chaining Shaly! Also, from a fan who's favorite trial was Malboro, I would like more trials like that! Trials that take tons of preparation and a solid execution! I want trials that are controlled like Malboro and not RNG like Halloween King or Glacial. I want trials that push 5* bases to the limit and force the community to be on point with theory crafting. Is it possible to bring in endgame optional bosses from mainstake FF titles like Ruby or Emerald Weapon from FF7?

Great video! Please fix friends points, they’re useless. Open up a shop for farmable things like Megacites, Megacrysts, Potions etc.
Also, allow us to do trials we’ve completed for zero NRG, zero rewards so we can test out support units, healers and defensive stats rather than just “seeing how much damage we can do”
now gumi only need to give a free ayaka and trance terra to all the players...
I have the same setup except i dont have mystea and cagnazzo. Had to bring a friend mystea. I tried with veritas of dark, enhanced wilhelm and even enhanced warrior of light. Guess they are not as good as cagnazzo. I fully potted, fully lb and fully enhanced my 2 trance terra. But too bad i can only make 1 942 mag and the other 1049 mag. Still cant clear it. Wasted so many nrg.

This obviously isn’t a F2P guide, so you should look elsewhere for a Setzer cheese strat or something because it is possible to beat this boss without 5 star bases as other videos have proven.
If you still don’t have the means to beat this boss, just embrace your casual status and be glad to get a summon ticket for free. Because this boss is certainly not for newer or casual players...
