Tbh even as a huge Hip-Hop fan I was one to question why induct emcees/rap groups into the RRHOF. Why not make a separate hall. Then I heard this speech from Chuck D. My outlook flipped. Dude's always been very enlightening and open minded. It was great that him & LL were the ones to induct the B-Boys into the RRHOF. The very next year P.E. was inducted into the hall. 🙌🏽💯💯
*Side Note: LL hopefully gets in 2021, along with the Heavy Metal pioneers Judas Priest* 💯💯

You aint seen nothin till you have seen Chuck D. and flavor flave rapping being backed by a drummer and Prince on Bass. True respect from very different artists. Prince influenced Chuck's song writing Public Enemy help foster a greater respect for rap by Prince. Chuck is just too deep and smart for this current culture and he remains as much a progressive independent thinker who is just as much ahead of his time as he was back in the 80's with Public Enemy..and that is a shame.

I totally agree with his view on black entertainment. If these networks were truly black entertainment, they'd be showing Mos Def, Shabazz Palaces, the Roots nonstop, but you just get distracting numbing garbage instead.

vanilla ice was not hip hop.........beasties were but vanilla ice was just a joke. nwa cant be in the hall because they only had one album of the 5 core members. nwa and the posse and efil4zaggin were ok but straight outta compton was the real nwa and actually the eazy duz it album was nothing more than an NWA album to be honest so i will give you 2 but still..........public enemy should though for damn sure.
