DYNO TEST: Honda CB300F With Yoshimura R-77 Exhaust On the Dyno (SOUND CLIP) | MC GARAGE

  • Whether it’s your first bike or your new track bike, replacing the factory exhaust on your Honda CB300F will be high on your list of things to do to trim a substantial amount of weight as well as improve the sound and appearance of an already good-looking motorcycle. The new Yoshimura system for the CB300F reduces weight by almost 10 pounds. Shedding weight, of course, equates to better performance but the dyno shows that the R77 system also increases power across the rev range, which makes this a very good investment for anyone looking for a performance improvement. Watch the video and see for yourself.

    Wouldn't you need to do a ECU flash or Power Commander to get the full benefits of a full exhaust?

    • @DearMajesty
      @DearMajesty 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      wondering the same. i wonder how much more power it'd make with a tune or ECU flash

    • @joedoole3527
      @joedoole3527 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      On engines this small fuel tuning isn't necessary, but will indeed yield slightly more gains. We've tuned stock 300's, 250s and even stock Grom/Z125s and seen 1-3 HP increase across the rev range over the stock tune. Add a free flowing exhaust and air filter setup to this and you can easily see 3-5 HP gain over a stock bike. This doesn't sound like much but when your talking about an engine that makes less than 30 HP anyway that 3-5HP equates to gains of 10% or more, which in realistic terms IS a big gain from a simple mod. Add to that the fact that these bikes only weigh a few hundred pounds and you really can feel a 3-5 HP difference.

    This bike is too small for me. I'm 6'0 210 lbs with a 34" inseam. I'm thinking of starting on either a Yamaha WR250R or the FZ-07. I considered a CB500F but for just another $1,000 the FZ-07 destroys it in every area, and the CB650F is way too expensive while also not being better overall than the FZ...
