    I restored two 1960, 30' CC Cavaliers twin screws. People have NO idea what kind of labor and engineering that goes into rebuilding these classics. I'm thoroughly impressed! Can't wait to see your other videos!

    Wow. That’s a new boat. Not a restoration. Amazing work.

    this is a good example of the Theseus question. is something the same if all of its parts have been replaced? i saw a template for a boat at the beginning.

    Great video. Amazing restoration project. Mike, can you do a video about the boat electric? What type of electric design you are doing when restoring these boats. Thanks.

      That is a video in the works but is going to take a bit of time to get all the video shot and edited.

    You do fantastic work. I looked and there were 208 hulls produced of the 25' Sportsman. That is a low production number compared to my 16' Deluxe Runabout at 1,880 hulls. That being said, what is the reasoning to rebuild this boat??
    Once again, it is beautiful.

      It is rare because it is a twin engine and they only made 42 of them. Most likely there is only about 20 or less left to exsist. Plus the owner wanted a twin sportsman. Thanks for watching!

    Beautiful craftsmanship how many bd ft of lumber in that beauty ?

      We have ordered 2 1000 board foot bunks of lumber so far. We did use some of that wood for the 16' Hydro and a bottom on another boat so I would say 1500 board feet so far. I just orded another 100 board feet and I think that will do it for wood.

    Cheaper to buy the plans and build from scratch, no doubt.

      We have the plans and we used them to rebuild the boat so thats pretty much what we did. I would think the hull cost would be about the same. This boat did come with most of its original hardware and running gear which if you had to find and purchase that building a new boat from scratch it would be very exspensive.

    GLAD U SAVED IT NO MATTER WHAT THESE MORONS SAY. TWIN ENGINE CC R RARE PERIOD. NICE WORK. WELL DONE. HAD A 21 FT COBRA IN THE 1970'S IN DETROIT AREA. CAD POWERED. WE BOUGHT AROUND 25 ABANDONED CC, HACKERS AND A 26 FT GAR WOOD EVEN.WE PULLED ONE FROM A BURN PILE EVEN FOR $300! LOTS OF STORIES. LOL.

      Thank you, I think they all should be saved. Do you remember the hull number of the Cobra? Thanks for watching!

    No doubt you can't share but safe to assume that the total build here is a multiple of 6 figures?

    • @MikeGreenStudioWorks
      @MikeGreenStudioWorks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if you bought one of these boats right now with a 5200 bottom and a good quality restoration you should expect to pay about $125,000+ If you can find one is the problem and the reason we went ahead with this build.

    Couldn't you bring a couple guys from Alsonac to help orient the rebuild?

      Unfortunately, most have passed away, but I am from Algonac. Thanks for watching!
