This game was a ridiculous amount of fun! I really enjoyed working my way up through real aircraft and studying their real-life counterparts as I played the game.
@@astrayamatu It's made by Curly Monsters who made Quantum Redshift for the Xbox, which is very similar to Wipeout. They were made up of staff from Psygnosis who made Wipeout, including Nick Burcombe I believe.
I was 13 when I given this game when my dad came back from Holland after his boss sent him over there for work. However I couldn't play it for a couple of weeks due to breaking my shoulderblade as I got ran over while coming home from school. But when I did recover enough I played this game all the time. Fantastic soundtrack, crafts and some combat what more could anyone ask for.. I still have my copy to this day.
even today i still miss this game . played it so many hours back then good old ps1 . played it back then with friend who broke both he`s arms . sadly lost him 4 years ago when he went up to a better place still miss ya brother
Wow's, I almost forgot about this game...... and Infogrames of all people, haven't heard of them in years. Still a great game, even though they got a bit of the flight dynamics wrong, air speed doesn't increase the lower you go, the opposite happens due to air density. You wanna go fast you've got to go high,
Loved this game when I was young, soundtrack was amazing even if one of the songs shared a title with the Queen song "Killer Queen". Anyways, it was a good game, and unlike the PS1 era Ace Combat games, actually had cockpit view. Such a unique concept for a game, and the Jet in it reminds me of Phoenix/Scarface Squadron from Air Combat. They'll probably never make games like this again.
I can't get the music working on PC. Sound works fine and the menu has music even, but in-game there's no music :(.How did you play this, on a real PS1 or an emulator? If you used an emulator which did you use and where did you get the rom from? I tried making a .bin with .cue file from the original cdrom, but it couldn't read a certain section, so it couldn't create the image file even though the game works fine in the PS1.
The rest of the dev team: it’s just a silly racing game with jets, anything’ll do for the soundtrack Sound team: sure bro sounds good *desperately tries to conceal the raging fire*
Oh fuck, I've totally forgotten that..Graphics and SFX scares me, but the soundtrack is still great...oh shit.. am I as old as a computergame like this.......xD
Every time this player can't do something it plays the game in slow motion with an emulator and then accelerate the video with a video editing program, or it uses cheats in alternative. A decent eye would recognize that in 5 seconds. Loser, not the only one anyway, loser cheaters are many. To avoid fans and haters' stuff I don't read any possible reply here or wherever it is written.

Ace Combat meet Ridge Racer. And i'm still playing this game until now.
I wish that Bandai Namco made the same game like this.
some how back then it reminded me of wipeout and it still does for me ^^

Whoever was responsible of the soundtrack must be a fan of going to the nightclubs. That's the vibe I'm getting from this music 🎵
Seems pretty cool, that scenery pop-in though...woof...
Incredible sense of speed

Handling: Arcade or Pro. Which do you like better?
Pro. Not only better, but you can do air drifts and other tricks.
The rest of the dev team: it’s just a silly racing game with jets, anything’ll do for the soundtrack
Sound team: sure bro sounds good *desperately tries to conceal the raging fire*
playing danger zone music while watching this
You played on arcade mode
So sad no sequel

This music and sound effects of this game terrified me as a kid. Like demonic background effects kind of
Crash team racing before it was called that..
I don't remember the pop-in being this bad...
Still a fantastic soundtrack though!
