There is a wealth of restored footage from the early 1900s and we can see from those films that just about everyone with a Caucasian background has a little bump on the nose. I think the bullies don’t realize that a a straight nose is actually rather rare and uncommon. Even Marilyn Monroe had a nose job but everyone thinks her button nose was natural. She had a fleshier nose before and was still insanely beautiful before.

Bella hadid's transformation gave her the opportunities she has today. Without that I don't think she would have made it into the modelling industry. No hate on her, but it sucks how she was given the title of most beautiful woman in the world when it was all due to her surgeries. On "Escape from LA" The Weeknd says:
"LA girls all look the same, I can't recognize
Same work done on their face, I don't criticize"
I'm uncertain if it exists, but there should be a regulatory committee, that holds accountable, those in charge of altering the appearance of their clientele, because:
The current mainstream beauty standard is one that does not naturally occur in most (if not any) ethnic group. From my observation, the following phenotypes constitute most of this standard:
    Thick eyebrows
    Positive canthal tilt
    Slender up nose
Plump lips with a high Cupid's Bow
Normally, an attractive person, regardless of their ethnic makeup, has one or two of these features, mixed with universally accepted standards of facial attractiveness such as high cheekbones, a healthy jawline and chin.
    Some examples:
South Asian and Arab women often have thick eyebrows and lips, but protruding, or down facing noses.
East Asian women often have positive canthal tilt and up noses, but thin eyebrows.
Eastern europeans may have up noses but lack large lips.
West africans usually have thick lips but wider noses.
All of these people, regardless of having SOME features ill conforming to beauty standard, so long as they have the univerally accepted features, would he considered 10/10, because the "ill confirming features" are still healthy, and beautiful. Thin eyebrows, thinner lips, wide or convex noses are all beautiful features that define ethnic groups.
The problem arises when surgeons and cosmeticians allow those in the upper echelons of our social heirarchy (those with enough wealth to afford a slew of "enhancements") to obtain the same homogeneous set of unnaturally occurring features regardless of ethnic background.
This results in the shift from unique locally defined beauty standards, to a global set of features, attainable only for the rich, becoming ne plus ultra, because those with the concentration of wealth, generally also have the concentration of influence.
The "LA girl" look is aspired to by girls and women globally because of the malpractice of surgeons for the sake of profit, and their negligence to fully grasp concepts of facial aesthetics.

What a great comment! I have always wondered why the current beauty trends and "Instagram faces" annoy me so much, and your text was able to show me the reason.
I personally have mainly features that are not favourable in current trends (e.g. soft but not-so-curvy body, thin lips, a "potato nose", pale skin) but still have hard time seeing myself as non-attractive. I think I look how I am supposed to look (based on my genetical heritage), and if looking like a cute, fair house elf suddenly became a trend, I would probably be seen as a great beauty queen.

Happiness has to come from within. In my practice I see so many women ( and men) that are so unhappy and even after changing their faces they are still unhappy. We need to change the dialogue on beauty and aging. We are creating a society of unhappiness and of 20 and 30 years olds that think wrinkles are not normal and that big lips and a face they doesn’t move is.
I hope to change the story. At 55 I have no injectables and nothing invasive and I am grateful to be embracing aging , a gift that so many do not get. 🙌🏻🍑 you can be you and be beautiful I teach that everyday. 🙌🏻🍑Lisa Peaches Skin Care

I am actually really freaked out by cosmetic surgery because of the sudden change it creates. I read a book as a teenager where a character had her memory erased, her identity changed and had plastic surgery done so she looked like a different person. One day she starts to get her memory back and has this moment where she can't recognise herself in the mirror and is absolutely terrified "this isn't my face." And I think that made me be terrified of the same thing. If I were to look in the mirror on day and not recognise myself...

it’s so much better to learn to love your features. a few years ago I used to be so insecure about my thick eyebrows (this was when thin eyebrows were trendy) and my mum used to tell me one day everyone is going to want thick eyebrows and I didn’t believe her but now everyone compliments my eyebrows. you never know if a feature you hate on yourself could be considered beautiful ina few years so stop trying to fit into an ever changing beauty standard. You’re beautiful, love yourself.

I've been considering cosmetic surgery for over a decade now. Why a decade? Well, I had to research and save money first. And then we had the global situation we are still having now.
Possible changes on the menu; reshaping the lower jaw (it's wide and crooked, which imaging confirms), making the brow bone ridge less prominent, getting more vertical space between the eye and the eyebrow (probably achieved through a forehead lift), lifting the chin to neck line, getting rid of the hooded/sleepy eye effect, but I am still thinking about rhinoplasty.
I went to am esteemed plastic surgeon in my country (Netherlands) in the local city hospital and he couldn't stop plugging his botox treatments. He also said they wouldn't do a simulation of the results because according to him they just don't do that here.
I decided to teach myself enough image editing skills to see possible realistic outcomes of certain procedures (within surgery limitations). I did that in the summer of 2020. I think I put 2 months into teaching myself that, getting my amateur photography friend to take really good front and side pictures, and finally doing the edits. I wasn't able to edit the nose so I left it alone.
The results seemed really good to me, but my friends and family who saw the final image of the front said "I don't see it, that's just you" and they only spotted one difference in the final image of the side view (they spotted the alteration to the chin to neck line).
I had to show them the before and after side by side and include the dotted lines for the old outline in the final image for them to spot it and they said "oh, that's quite a difference".
Most of them were positive about the possible changes. 2 of them said "if we couldn't spot it, then why do it?".
When the global situation gets better I still intend to contact a surgeon and ask their opinion on what they think would create a beautiful, natural and harmonious result and ask for a simulation.

I think a lot of the celebrities who have continued to have surgeries to stop or reduce the effects of aging, have drawn more adverse attention to their faces than normal aging would have.
Many of them like Demi Moore and Madonna (as the pictures show) don't even look like themselves any more.
What makes faces unique and beautiful is usually the imperfect, not asymmetrical features of a face.
Many times when cosmetic surgery is done, the features have been altered to create what we consider a "classic beauty". However, it is the combination of features, whether classic or imperfect, that creates the unique face that we consumer beautiful.

Is it possible to keep the same nose shape but have it be reduced in overall size? I really like my nose shape but its just too large for my face

Great video as always, but I wish you had included some photos to illustrate the point about leaving a slight bump during a rhinoplasty
Also, I didn't notice you were Australian until this video. Your accent is so slight that I didn't pick it up until you were talking to another Australian, which made me start paying a bit more attention to your accent as well.
    Cheers :)

At this point i do not mind plastic surgery. what i do care about is when celebrities get them and refuse to admit it cause they set unachievable standards without telling us they're unachievable wich can lead to a lot body image issues in their young fans.

I know that you maybe are not gonna see this comment, but I really like your videos and I wanted to improve your quality. I really like the idea of the video having music in both opening and ending, I think it's something kind of lovely and it gives personality to the video. But what I have noticed recently it's the abrupt ending that you give to your videos. It's something maybe stupid and pointless because all in all, we are just watching a video about cosmetic and the editing shouldn't be a concern. But your videos are so well made that they have like that reminiscent of a professional. And what I propose it's not something complicated, in fact I think that it would make more comfortable to watch the videos. Just add and extra part at the end, where it could last maybe between 5 to 10 seconds. With the same music you put, you wouldn't have to change anything, just make the song continue when you put that "screen" at the end. I think a black background with the name of the channel in white in the middle and in both sides of it some recommendation of your videos could make it perfect. Obviously it's just a preference, and at the end of the day you can make whatever you want. But I think it could make the videos perfect.
Editing: I wrote "Just to" :p

Before movies showed ‘transformation’ as the geeky girl taking off her glasses and getting a hair cut... not it’s normal to undergo multiple dangerous surgeries, fillers etc
    It just keeps escalating

Why the hell did he put a trans person's picture while saying "transformation isn't for everyone"?? Even if she comes from a family known for the surgery they go under, that's not right

Caitlyn Jenner’s facial feminisation surgery feels different to Bella Hadid or Kylie Jenner , perhaps not the best example to include. The cosmetic procedures that people with gender dysphoria may choose to get should not be characterised with the same flippancy as just another Bella Hadid “face transformation”. That being said I love your content and am enjoying binging your videos! X

Are you ridiculous or what of course Caitlyn Jenner's going to have a different look! That person transform from a male to a female with hormones.... because she wasn't born that way

@@gigid9606 maybe try reading my comment again :) think it might have gone over your head as nowhere in it do I say Caitlin Jenner didn’t change her face, just that her reasons for doing so are a little more serious than someone like Bella hadid.

I plan on having a rhinoplasty to
    1) remove my bump (it's not extremely bad, but still not very aesthetically pleasing)
    2) possibly fix the deviation that makes my nose feel stuffy for no reason at times
    3) fix my bulbous tip
While the first two could go more or less unnoticed, it'll be impossible for people not to notice the tip change, so I fully plan on telling whoever feels like I look different that I had the procedure. It's stupid to try and hide something that's so obvious. If you're gonna have something fixed, then own up to it, you paid for it with your own money, so who cares if people know or not? I won't go around telling people "oh hey, look at my new nose", but I definitely won't try to hide it either if it comes up. It's like stuffing your bra with paper towels hoping no one will notice, when it's super obvious, it feels silly to me, idk
Now of course, it shouldn't go to the extent of Bella Hadid ruining her face (I'm 27, and I was shocked to discover recently that she's younger than me, I thought she was at least 10 years older), but I don't see why people shouldn't be proud of their little facial improvement! It's like tattoos. While you don't flaunt them to everyone, you don't go out of your way to hide it.

but "natural" is not the look most people these days are going for. Once upon a time, people wanted celeb noses or other people they looked up to or didn't want to look like work was being done. But that's not the case now. Perfect thin noses that are def not natural is the desired look even if it is not what one sees naturally because that is the current beauty standard...now people want photoshopped/face tuned versions of themselves. So most people want to look like the face tune or filter they use in pictures in real life.

Tell you something. Dearest Lorry Hill had a facelift about 7 months ago, and I so much preferred her before. People forget that if you over perfect and smooth out appearance - you remove shadows and depths which can add to an interesting look. Sigh. I think I'm a voice in the wilderness. X

I so desperately want to see you and I was going to come and hopefully get threading or the one mil approach because I am 37 this year and I have managed to only get Botox in my forehead Since I was 25 . I look quite young I just need my marionette lines lifted a little bit but I do not want to look like I have any surgery. I really hope that I can come to Melbourne one day and get treated by you you’re an inspiration.

Aging according to me is a blessing not everyone reaches old age. Im 18 rn but hopefully In Sha Allah when i reach old age id like to be good looking and will do self care hopefully but I wouldn’t want to avert aging or just waste my life money on trying to look younger than id be. Its just a point of view im not accusing people who get surgeries done of doing wrong or anything, everyone has their reasons and choices, but I personally wanna age beautifully.
