  • In this video I discuss the pros and cons to every hostel I stayed in during my 3 month backpacking trip, and tell you which hostels to definitely stay at and which ones to skip. Ultimately, I had no horrific hostel experiences, and I don't regret staying at any of them, but some were definitely better than others :). I also just want to mention that although I had some great experiences at some hostels I can't guarantee that you will also have a great time as it depends on so many other factors, such as the people you meet there.
If you have any questions about anything I talk about in my videos, you are always welcome to DM me on instagram @jasminrostock :).
And if you stay at any of the hostels I have recommended please tell me your experience there too!
Thank you so much for watching don't forget to like and subscribe🌺.

I’m planning my own trip to Southeast Asia and I was wondering how much you spent/how much you budgeted for your trip??

I’ll be talking about this in a future video! It really depends on what kind of backpacker you are and which countries you’re going to. For 3 months you could spend anywhere from 3500-7000 USD (without flights). My advice is to just save up as much as possible so you don’t have to worry about budget as much.

Heyya how far ahead did you book the hostels because just tried to book the farm hostel but couldn’t book for august/July time 😅

Some hostels only let you book 3 months in advance!! I booked most hostels 1-2 days in advance. The farm is quite popular though and they do tend to sell out but a week in advance should be ok🥰.

How long would you recommend me to be in the Philippines? And after a stay in bali, would you recommend me the philippines or rather thailand?🤍

You could easily stay in the Philippines for a month there are so many beautiful islands to see. It’s hard to decide between the Philippines or Thailand, as they are so different. Thailand has a lot more backpackers and nightlife, and it can be quite touristy, while the Philippines has the most stunning nature and more local experiences :).
