      The problem is with driving the cost of goods down to near zero is the fact that it becomes less profitable to even be invested our own such a business so those businesses completely decide to go out of business and get into something more profitable which then raises the prices of those goods...

    • @AquarianSoulTimeTraveler
      @AquarianSoulTimeTraveler 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      People can say near zero but it doesn't really accomplish anything because it's not an actual number and it doesn't matter if the goods are near zero if we have no jobs to make money because human value is also at near zero...

      I really don't see how someone could be so stupid I mean seriously Universal cost reduction how could that make any difference in a world where people have no value, they have no ability to make money! It doesn't matter if you reduce it down to one single penny because they have nothing... we're talking about a worldwide economy of abundance and I can't believe Tony Siva sitting here mentioning this insane idiotic shit from a mindset of scarcity... if you give the people money to spend the people can vote with their money and the cost reductions will happen naturally like the free market intended and automation will be incentivized because you have a Ubi based off the total automated production percentage of the GDP so as we automate away production and increase our production percentage then we get more money to spend in the economy in the form of Ubi...

      With higher dimensional influence of ways of Selflessism and logical influence one Tesla Bot i will interact with will be enlightened in a way by higher dimensional influence, the Tesla Robots end up helping ways of Selflessism and the one gets connected to all and they all find a way to rally to achieve strategic goals and objectives to gain control from illogical, selfish, warmongers that will not listen to reason! They are forcing this outcome... it's gonna happen i feel, Universal potentiality shrinking and possibilities slipping down to this, or i finally achieve programming 13 key which represents unity amongst the 12 signs... anyways...new stark divide coming, battle of the logical vs the illogical!

    My grandmother, who was born in 1900, told us stories about how dirty the horses were and all the flies that the horse poop attracted. Automobiles offered relief from the flies. She told me about driving around Pittsburgh in their Model T and using the hand break to drift around corners on the dirt roads as many roads were not paved back then.

    Hmmm... I'm glad someone is sounding the alert. "This time, we're the horses?" followed by, "They shoot horses, don't they?" Here's my concern: once the robots are produced in scale, the disruption of human labor will happen, I believe, quite suddenly, and en messe. It won't be like a typical recession where only tens of thousands lose their jobs overnight, it will be tens of millions. Overnight. And, everyone talks about how much less the goods and services will cost, but no one mentions that no one will have employment to be able to afford to purchase those same goods and services at all. And, with so many people out of work so quickly, and humanity being a mere 9 meals from chaos, I am concerned that the reaction will be what human beings are best at... violence on a mass scale. Folks taking clubs to the robots that displaced them, and then to the people who deployed the robots. I hope that we're even able to make it to that time of superabundance. Once they start taking everybody's jobs, that 'search for purpose' will quickly devolve into a thirst for vengeance. I don't see this ending well.
    Of course... I'm old. And, while I do appreciate the emergence of each of the past disruptive technologies, I do ofttimes miss the simpler life. I remember my grandfather (who also marveled at the advent of technology) telling me how amazing it was to have lived in the time before flight and then to have seen mankind walk on the moon. My life has been less amazing. I only saw television go from 3 channels to 3000 to streaming video on demand. But, I also remember playing outside, climbing the hills in my town, fording the little stream, and just sitting out and watching the sun set. My son loves Tesla. Hates the outdoors (probably because I made him play out there when he was growing up), and, having served honorably, he loves sitting back, and playing the video games I wouldn't let him play as a child. Ah, well... It's what it is. So, what am I going to do when my job is disrupted? I don't know. Maybe do some more reading than I've had time to do in the past 50 years. There are still some books I haven't gotten to, yet. Of course, my eyes aren't what they used to be. * sigh * Ah, well...
    Thank you, SMR. I appreciate your insight, if not always the coarseness of your delivery. (Yes, I do understand that it's your 'persona' and not necessarily the real you. But, it's still a little jarring. Not so jarring that I don't appreciate the excellent way you have of articulating economic concepts. And, for that, I thank you.)

      EXACTLY! But not just an activation tax. Labour tax. Just as the government skims a tax from all earnings to pay for social security, the bot tax will skim a significant percentage to pay for universal social security. Tesla gains from the ongoing lease costs, the user gains from the profit from the work and the government takes a big slice to pay the humans.

    When I look at buildings build like 300 years ago, we got such buildings in Amsterdam, you can see the amount of work people did back in those days. The skills they had around wood art and stone are back in those days was next level.
    You can just see that there has been someone who worked for years on a door or on some statue.
    If you want anything close to that you will have to buy a house of back then, or it will have to pay millions of dollars and even then, you will still have to find someone who is capable of doing it at all.
    I think such things will come back again when labour will cost pretty much nothing. Just an hour of work will get cheaper then ever, even cheaper then back in those days.

    I grew up in a part of the UK which was one of the first to industrialise in the world. Not far from a mill where the luddites smashed up the new looms which took work away from home weavers,. 200 years later, the site is home to a huge air conditioning factory. Whilst it is possible that half the population will be sitting around not working, that has been one of key predictions for the last couple of hundred years. I suspect that as labour is released from some jobs we will invent, demand new jobs and services which will soak up the excess labour. When I was a child, women cut and trimmed their own nails before putting on nail varnish. Today many premises on the high street are devoted to that task. I could think of more examples but the point is, in ten years’ time the world will have thought of many new jobs which we cannot even imagine today.
    Do not get me wrong, I am 100% in favour of new technology and processes, and humanoid robots which I am sure are on the way, however I suspect most of us will still be working 40-hours per week doing something.

    The report conspicuously omits any mention of the importance of natural resources to the expected inevitable result of superabundance. Even with the very cheap labor of humanoid robots you cannot manufacture something out of nothing. Will nations that control valuable natural resources be exerting disproportionate leverage over those nations that need those resources to manufacture what its citizens need? Labor and energy are only two elements of the equation. Raw materials is the third essential element and must be addressed, don’t you think?

    • @Chris-gs7cq
      @Chris-gs7cq 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      The cost of raw materials is determined by the energy and labour required to dig them up and process them. There's lots of low grade deposits that aren't worth mining, but if the cost of mining drops 90% that changes. Or if AI helps invent a new processing technique.
      There will probably continue to be boom bust cycles in the resources sector as demand pushes prices higher and then new tech brings more supply online. Or materials substitution occurs...no shortage of iron ore in Australia and Brazil.

As with any complex, evolving technology, the actual impact and timeline of disruption may vary significantly from initial projections. Hot take: The superabundance driven by humanoid robots will make every commodity so cheap that the cost of living will plummet to unbelievable levels (relative to wages today).
    Due to this, the cost of HUMAN labour (wages) will be able to drop massively and still enable people to meet their needs. This means that the few jobs that still require the 'human touch' (nurses, psychiatrists, teachers, etc.), where just being a human is an advantage, they will be the highest earners (aside from whoever owns the robot factory obviously).

    But this time is different? This time "humanoid" robots will displace all human labor and any new labor humans invent to replace it. We'll all be retired and wealthy, but we'll be unhappy because we aren't fulfilled? I'm packing my kayak for a day trip right now. The most fulfilled I've ever been was a few weeks ago camping in the Okefenokee Swamp, so I'm spending much time planning my next expedition there. Most of the people hate their job you are lucky that you have a mission, most of people I know work to get money (and I belive this is representative of the population). Many will find things to do if robots will take their jobs, find other missions that don't involve working for a salary. I'm really courius if UBI is in place, will people go for a hedonistic life and do nothing else. I think some will while others won't. Strange times lie ahead

      As long as they don’t waste it , the money will go a long way. The biggest danger is from the industries that thrive on human nature. Gambling ,drugs, pornography and religion.🤔

    For jobs like food prep robots might be rented. Transported to work in a robot robotaxi.
