    I would say yes and no. It's the best if you're purely looking for the best gaming experience (and software) while giving zero shits about build quality and budget. It's not the best if you consider the other 2 factors.

    To each their own ofc but to me a keyboard needs to be more than JUST a gaming keyboard. I use it for everything so I want some creature comforts as well. Proper wrist rest, media keys and even a numb pad :p That said, the keycaps/lighting looks great. Lekker switches are great too.

    this 8k battle, tbh if reviewers have such a hard time saying "its clearly faster" ... it's just one more evidence that on daily use, all HE boards will perform well and around error margins. Even if they are quicker, you won't really notice :)

    • @AimAdapt
      @AimAdapt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No matter how you look at latency there are many variables to it. Some keyboards even respond differently when multiple keys are pressed at once. There are examples where you can notice a difference just as there are examples where you can not. There isn't one clear cut answer and that is why reviewers stay neutral. In the debate of does it matter vs does it not, there can never be a clear cut winner in every situation.

    What I'm most interested in is how compatible their pcb is with other cases. We've seen everyone make custom 60HE builds, but when it comes to a 75% layout there are a bunch of different variations when it comes to the spacing and layout of the arrow keys, insert, pgup, pgdn and del keys. I'm sure brands will make some cases specifically for this pcb, but I really want to know if any that already exist are compatible; because who wants to wait?

    • @Alby911
      @Alby911 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not sure if there'd be too many keen interest in making a 3rd party case for the 80HE, the market is so saturated at the moment. And I can't imagine that the tooling for the 80HE would be cheap, unlike the 60HE which is based of the tray mount design, that's existed for quite a long time now.

    You like this layout because it has an LED bar and "everything about looks does feel great". Amazing explanation. Especially like Del key being in a nice spot. Literally a standart spot for it.
    Absolutely horrible layout that makes no sense. This is TKL minus Home&End and with Ctrl in a non standard location, which only breaks mussle memory just as any non-standard layout.

    • @TheBeastly1113
      @TheBeastly1113 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This comment is overly angry and doesn’t track. You say delete is in a standard spot, which it is, but then say “absolutely horrible layout that makes no sense”. This is a standard 80% layout…? You can switch the keycap and remap function and CTRL and the non standard CTRL is fixed. Besides that, why is it horrible? Many of us who come from the custom side of things have been waiting for a standard layout larger than 60/65%, and this checks those boxes. Plus it comes from the first brand to popularize HE stuff. And tbf, everything on this board does feel great, and the light bar is an awesome edition. Not sure why you’re hating just to be angry, let some of us enjoy a good 80% HE board man

      Sound is due to open bottoms, which a few switches now have fixed with closed bottoms like the raw GE, I believe, as well as the Jade Pros and Max's. Apparently, the Jade Gaming is coming too, but that's later. But apparently, they're all long pole. As for looks, that's opinion based, but yea, over time, we're gonna see more cases come out. I think the cleanest is Keychrons but they're also the most simplistic.
