My elderly mother almost died when her doctor took her off her HRT. She developed a UTI that was undetected and started becoming psychotic. Now she’s a vegetable in a wheelchair. Doctors need to learn more about HRT and vaginal oestrogen cream. They also need to listen to celebrities like Jane Fonda who uses low-dose testosterone to keep her muscles and body strong. Sarcopenia is no joke.
Vaginal oestrogen cream also helps with pelvic organ prolapse. It doesn’t fix at all but it does improve it and prevent the UTIs. An elderly women UTIs can be life-threatening and cause delirium.

Hi Dian, Vaginal cream doesn’t control hot flashes; the dose is too low. Some estrogen creams for skin can die to higher dosages. Some estrogen rings that go in the vagina may help hot flashes. People who want to work withm me for help can find out more at MenopauseCoaching.com.
Unfortunately I am not able to use estrogen products As I had to have surgery to remove a fibroid Don't know if the estrogen cream was the product That caused the fibroid.

Thanks Dr. Seibel for the information...I had a hysterotomy at the age of 27 and had the been on Premarin for 35 years, after being on Premarin all these years I have very painful sex....so I stopped all together because of the painful intercourse, so my new doctor prescribed cream to use twice a week....I hope it takes away all these problems I'm having down there....thin skin that tears just by using toilet paper and very dry skin. Does the Premarin cream usually take care of these problems? Thanks again Patricia
You can ask your doctor for local estrogen. It is usually very helpful. I do offer people who live far away solutions to make menopause better at www.MenopauseCoaching.com.
Have not taken creams, am at the beginning of the journey where I notice changes, so I go towards solutions as early as possible. Added lubrication before bed is very good, even natural ones help, like olive oil or vitamin E oil. For keeping the area healthy, the vagina is a muscle after all, one HAS TO condition it in my opinion. The best way to do this is a gradual increase of length and width and what makes a huge difference is to condition the area under water. There is no better way to address this. It is the very best way to find comfort AND to increase performance. I read horror stories last night where older women went to the doctor with serious health problems and the physicians were unable to even access the vaginal area. In the mean time they had blood clots and other toxins the body could not rid itself of because the opening was shut off. After all it is a crevice through which toxins escape if the body is in a normal condition. These are all things women don't think about until they research it further. I would rather not go down the road of having problems and the physician could not even access that area. That would almost be like having a toothache and the mouth is shut. I think it is a necessity to keep our bodies how they are supposed to be.

Try it thru a compounded pharmacy that uses a hypoallergenic base. Mainstream formulas contain preservatives that can irritate.
