What i really appreciate about you, as a fellow driver only type of player, is that you aren't in a discord call with your boys and are instead using the in-game channels as the game intended. I cannot fathom the frustration that comes with having fellow armor squads that are using discord to communicate, incentivizing less communication overall with your teammates in general, let alone in command coms. Love your informative videos brother, been learning a bunch. Keep up the great work and great driving!
A rather unorthodox tip in you are escaping in a tank: Tell your gunner shoot directly backwards, the backblast from the cannon shot will give you a 10-20km/h impulse depending on the tank, the T62 and Abrams benefit greatly from this trick, saved my crew's hide many times
@@AirGibson Using the gun to get yourself unstuck when trapped atop a half wall or rock works also. Firing forward while driving in reverse has helped me many times.
3:40, если застрял нужно не только пытаться ехать вперед или назад, нужно обязательно крутиться влево или вправо (для гусеничной техники), это часто помогает слезть с камня
Very true, most AT infantry struggle with anything beyond 200 meters. I've had a bit of fun slapping IFV's and Tanks from 400m-600m and them not having a clue about where my shot came from lol.
Something from personal experience i might would add is “face armor” doesn’t mean you need to face 100% dead on with the enemy. That makes it very easy for enemy’s to gauge where your ammo rack is. Often a slight angle will help tuck the ammo rack into a harder to pen location, or at the very least add some angle values to your armor to make you a 5 shot target. Doing this in game I’ve noticed a lot more rounds bouncing off my tank rather than presenting my ammo rack for free to experienced players. Anything to give you a one shot advantage can save you
Angling the armor is something I did a lot of experiments with and I will discuss if I get around to doing the next episode which will be the actual "Engagement Strategy".
Great vid! I would also like to add that you don’t have to always be driving around looking for someone to fight, this a lot of the time will get you killed by enemy AT if you do that constantly. You can always wait for other squads to request your support and also, ask them for ideas on firing positions. Not everyone knows the exact layout of the map and where they can shoot a specific enemy from so just asking what they think is an advantageous position doesn’t hurt. As we all know, the armor is the most blind force of them all, best way to know stuff is to have infantry or your commander relay info.
You are not exactly right regarding the vehicles stack in trees. It can be unstack if there is a driver holding full forward. Each reset set's the vehicle slightly higher and at some point the vehicle will simply jump out of the tree with 50% chance to be sent to the space. It becomes evident when the car is about to unstack when it starts to shake as crazy when the driver holds W. If the tree is really high it may require 2 man tower under the car, to make possible the interaction. This is also a good strategy to get unstack quick from a rock or out of the trenches, since sometimes part of the car's wheels or IFV tracks touch a surface first, causing vehicle to move forward before it lands to the ground. Regarding engine lost - the main hint is to hold the 1st gear using Shift. The engine will work, providing you speed up to 10 km/h.
I allways drive when I SL in an armor squad. If I join an armor squad, I expect my SL to be driving, or I will assume he is inexperienced and I will probably dump him, unless he gives me the SL. I have not seen all these armor guides, but if you haven't touched the subject, please make a guide about proper ways for armor to support infantry and help dominating the objectives. To many armor players have a wrong mentality, where they would never consider transporting, capping or rebuilding a HAB. They dont contribute to the overall win of the team, but just go about doing their own thing far away from active objectives, while friendly infantry gets bullied by enemy armor on point.
@Captain-DK... I haven't gotten into strategy yet. Just mostly talking about technical details and terminology. The next several will be about strategy, and yes, that will be touched on. But strategy is so heavily opinion and experience oriented that I suspect it will be highly disliked.
@Emporiumtutorial yes, it is considered "layered armor" which causes some amount of damage reduction. Refer to Volume 1 if you want to hear more about layered armor.
Ah, last part of the video was a mistake, never smoke on yourself if you are immobilize in a vehicle fight, your gunner won't be able to see but you are still gonna get hit. If the gunner has ammo for another guided missile he could do some extra damage to the tank before going down.
If you have a weapon that can do damage, I would agree. If you are in an IFV with no more ATGMs (our Bradley was out) and a tank is shooting at you, it is irrelevant. Your gunner won't even tickle the tank with the main cannon. Being disabled, with the tank staring at you, and no way to fight it is a hopeless situation barring someone saving you. Smoke all you want.
This ain't tiktok, boy, give us that 1 hour definitive in-depth vehicle guide we all need

Love the content. High quality, informative, consice.
I wasn't aware of that 3 strips on albasrah and the 45sec boost on resetting vehicles.

Totally agree. When we get into the strategy episodes, I'll be sure to call that out.

@@AirGibson Yeah hopefully when the new after action report in version 8.1 drops, we can have better and more qualified discussions about META.
