    Do you cure them in the mason jar or the container that you showed at the end?

    Where do you get fragrance

  • @kimmcdoanld1856

    Do you put them in the other container once the oils have dried into the beads?

    • @stephaniehall6311
      @stephaniehall6311  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes once they have dried I move them to a large container. It's also ok to leave them in the jar to cure as well.

      @@stephaniehall6311 okay! Sounds like a good idea!!
      I just started a few weeks back and just tested mine. It’s cold here...do you notice that they don’t smell as fragrant in cold weather? In the house they are very fragrant but in my car, not as much!

    Why do you cure for an extra 7 days? I haven't heard of that!

    • @maryspringer1442
      @maryspringer1442 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I cure mine for 2 weeks to a month, before I make anything even that is not long enough..otherwise your customers will complain! They will lose fragrance quickly and not last..customers come to us all the time saying they bought one from someone else and it only lasted 2 weeks thats why..let them cure like candles! I cure mine usually for a month before I make anything with them. Ours last 9 months! Of course every fragrance is different some are stronger than others and will eb more potent..some beads will ,take longer to dry like leather it takes months to dry! just because they are dry doesnt mean they are ready .you can bake them but they will not hold scent for long..let them cure for a while even after dry.

    I had fragrance discolor my beads to black and another to orange. Will I be able to color these different colors? Is this normal? Beads and fragrance from Buyitshipit

    • @stephaniehall6311
      @stephaniehall6311  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never had black but yellow and orange. Those I have been able to cover with micas, however white or a very light color may not completely cover.

    How much FO did you use?

    • @stephaniehall6311

      My ratio is 8:2 8oz beads to 2oz fragrance oil

    What do you do when you add too much oil?

    • @stephaniehall6311
      @stephaniehall6311  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you notice quick enough youu can compensate by adding additional beads if your container is large enough so that you can still shake them. Try to add by ratio if you know how much extra oil you have added. I would not add additional beads if the oil has already absorbed.

    I’m doing a 1oz fragrance to 4oz bead ratio..& it’s taking 2 weeks for it to fully cure & I still see it pooling at the bottom, what could I be doing wrong ??

    • @brandytuck6906

      It may be the beads you used. Could be a bad batch. Try putting them in a warm area maybe a bathroom with a small heater on

    What do you use to color them??

    • @briimartinez10
      @briimartinez10 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I make mine with mica color pigments. Ive seen some people just scent them snd color after but what do you use to color them after they've been scented? I feel like I could save soooo much if I just colored after they are scented.

    • @stephaniehall6311
      @stephaniehall6311  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use mica as well. You can use the mica before or after you scent them. Some also use candle dye however it takes longer to dry.

    How many can you make from 8oz

    • @stephaniehall6311
      @stephaniehall6311  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on your cookie cutter size, usually between 4-6. I use mostly 4-5" cutters.
