Derek tells people to slow down when he isn’t driving but when he drives doesn’t matter what people say... you obviously don’t trust being in the car with that driver.
He drives fine... all it takes is ONE simple mistake doing 150 and youre dead... unless youve never been passenger in a car going that fast in traffic and not having control of the car, youd never know.

I won’t sit passenger in a car that’s racing if I don’t trust the person driving it in those conditions period.. you’ll never hear me say slow down in a racing video ... why??? Because I trust the person and know what I’m getting into as soon as I step foot into a car that’s about to go racing.

Own a 19 Camaro SS 6spd. I gapped 3 stock coyotes with my stock Camaro.
Also the 1le spoiler has 300pds of down force I believe around 90mph, which cause a lot of drag. That spoiler is meant for the track to help you braking and keep traction when cornering. That’s why it’s on the zl1 1le not to just look cool 😎. Just saying.
You’d be surprised how many people don’t understand that.
Put the car in sport mode and paddle shift to the desired gear..once you floor it bump it back to drive and let that 10 speed eat...your welcome

No, there’s no point of doing that. You just leave it in drive and Downshift to whatever gear you desire. The sport mode doesn’t do anything.
@@Gkdjsifuofofk sport mode will keep it from upshifting on its own if you want to hold a certain gear.. the car will shift by itself if in drive even while using the paddle shift .thats how it works in my 2018 anyway

Guess he doesn’t know the trick to shift in sport, manually select desired gear, which will hold gear and not up shift automatically. Then after you get on it, shift back to drive.

Why not just sport or sport+ the whole time?
@@trevorjacob1107 because you would have to use the paddle shifters to shift up, does not upshift automatically once you use the paddles, it’ll just redline and cut power until you upshift. It’s a little trick with these automatics. These transmission best performance it to have it shift it on its own. So what you do is shift in sport so you can manually down shift to desired gear, step on it and immediately shift into drive and let the trans do the rest.

With my 18 GT with manual and 3.55's against my cousin with 16 SS with 8 speed auto, that 2V always jumps out with that torque. Once both going, dead nuts even to 150

He needs to move the gear shift to the S position and then the car will not up shift once you touch the paddles!

@@ItalianStallion410 Was that the drive mode, like normal, sport and track? Cause that's actually different than putting the gear shift into the S position. For roll racing you wanna be in track mode, move gear shift all the way down to S, downshift to desired gear, it will not up shift by itself now, then once you hit it you push the gear select back into D
@@deanojet2991 the shifter was in sport and the mode was sport plus mode this car has a million modes it’s kinda annoying
@@deanojet2991 I have the screenshots, you need to leave the position in s and use track mode. Downshift to activate the manual and learn your shifts for the best gains and results. The car literally will not shift up and redline like that. So you have to learn the shifts. Or do what the other guy said in the comments. Same concept, s and track downshift, run it but slide it to drive after the launch to let the system do the shifts for you safely

460 to the crank meaning they make about 400-415 wheel. The gen 1 makes at 385 wheel that was my fault

The cars are pretty even. Honestly I don't think that huge wing on the Camaro is helping. That thing at those speeds is creating hundreds of pounds of down force and a bunch of drag.

We old school race, from a dead stop on a back road. That's not racing when your rolling 50 tp 60mph. Racing from a dead stop lets you know what your car can really do from beginning to the end. The only way to race. Especially when you race for money.

Everyone knows how the race is going to go. Camaro pulls ahead at the start of the race, and then the mustang drives away at the end of the race. In all my years of street racing and strip racing, the guy out front at the end of the race is the winner. Don't over look the fact that the camaro has a large advantage going into the race with a much larger engine.😅

The Stang Has modes put it in sport + then shift from drive to sport from there downshift and it won't up shift. Once ur ready just shift the car back to Drive mode and GUN IT ..... IT WILL AUTO SHIFT FOR U AT A HIGHER RPM

Read that earlier maybe as soon as 2022... Ford finally getting smart and dumping the modular and going back to the torque making pushrod. If only they would have kept doing that with the original 5.0 from the late 80’s early 90’s. Ford makes a $100,000 Shelby and still gets beat by the C8 and the red eye🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

Yes it will, looks like the contract is set with the Windsor Ontario union. The 6.8 will be a smaller bore or de-stroked 7.3, the 6.8 will have an aluminum block vs the iron 7.3. Can’t wait to see this thing roar.

I keep seeing these dumb comments about dropping the gear in “S” which stands for select not sport, and then downshift then shift it back into Drive. That doesn’t do anything but wear and tear on your transmission. You just leave it in drive and downshift to the lowest gear then you floor it and the computer takes over.

I've had an 8 speed 2016 2ss and 2018 GT's both manual and auto. The mustang in both configuration takes the camaro on the top end, but the 10 speed camaro will outpace the 6 speed coyote up to about 110.

I am torn between choosing a 2020 Mustang GT or Camaro SS. I love the sound of a Coyote, there is nothing like it. On the other hand I love the exterior of the new Camaro SS in Riverside Blue. Looks and acceleration vs catfish front end but a sweet exhaust note. Help me out.
