My first power mac system cost me $10,000 Canadian in the 90's. Dual core intel 2 cpu systems were $20,000 in the 90's. This Threadripper 3 stuff is all cheap, really, for the performance you are getting now.
This board is awesome, it got several WR in overlcocking yesterday (Cinebench R15, R20, Geekbench, GPUPi, wprime1024). Thats one of the reasons why is "extreme"
I would buy this just for the looks! would be an absolute beauty with an ekwb cooler! I miss the 45 min format though, best way to get some in-depth knowledge on my way to work.
Meanwhile on Bitwits TH-cam Story Kyle (Bitwit): Look at this fancy motherboard! Some Minutes later new Story shows up Lyle (Bitwit Brother): OH NO I BENT THE PINS!! no joke.
Threadripper 3 is the beginning of the end of overclocking.....a motherboard like this one, doesn't justify its price tag anymore especially considering, it ha s only 4 pcie slots which are a misery compared to what the cpu can deliver...satas slots are also too many and unnecessary. There is no point in overclocking such cpus for only 5 % in performance gain, when a good cooling solution can deliver maybe even more at stock..at this price tag, one can even consider to use a chiller to turn on only when the cpu is to be under full load for extended periods of time...eg a week or two, or simply a few minutes when doing single frame complex renders. next year is the time of PCIE 5.0 and ddr5 memory, and the year after 128 cores threadripper cpus. Asus, Gygabite and AMD, have committed to a very poor pricing policy, that will render this cpu and motherboard sales, at least 80% less than what the market can actually absorb for workstation builds..... because of this there is no reason what soever for people who do need HEDT platforms or workstation HPC platforms, to commit to small CPus like the 3960 and 70X and low tier gaming concept motherboards, priced at these crazy prices when their Life span will not be more than one year in the market. It is time to understand that 32 cores is medium tier HEDT, and that overclocking is dead...thus zero reasson to price mother boards of this level at anything above 450 euro including VAT. Those fans on the VRMs are pathetic....considering that the 32 core at full load overclocked will not hit more than 20 watts of heat output and that unless u are using LN2, you can very well do without any heat sink on them, and not even hit peak efficiency on their output.....AMD CPUs ar not 5 years old Intel crap to copy paste motherboards designs from 1000 euro for this piece of crap motherboard with pathetic VRms...is laughable...not to mention its still using RGB leds in 2020.... If you are reading this, and still do not understand....think of it this way.....The CPU is a penis and the motherboard is a condom.... the penis is definitely not a big one, and the condom is definitely an old XS used one with holes all over

Everything in this world is cheap except Apple
Thomas, what has happened to the TTL in depth long video reviews? Please bring them back

Ordered this for a 3960x, can't wait.

Adrian XenoRay 😭 I seen that earlier today ... shit happens i suppose can’t kill the guy for it.
Dont forget this thing has space on-board, before a PCI-E addon card, 5 slots for M.2 Drives too. Thats more than the others offer.
Hi, I’ve problem with this mom. POST write me Memory test and then hang long time. What to do?
any idea why the vrm temps on this is much lower than the aorus xtreme?
how to switch on motherboard fans in asus zenith ii extreme
My next cat will be called Ahgeebahgee.
ArrrGeeBarrrGee
My cat is called knob head
Best VRM again. Only board Creators should be getting. And it looks like it cuz they are sold out.
Gigabytes fin vrm cooling means nothing if asus can keep cooler with a fancy looking block of aluminum
@Southeastern777 they never come on if you would've watched the video....

oh for once the video isn't 40 minutes long. Albeit I haven't looked at videos on this channel in a few years.
