Brandon Candelario I’ve been looking at prices of Rangers with the FX4 Off Road package! Might be able to get one at the end of this year or the beginning of next year!
I watched this video 4 or 5 days ago and the next day while grabbing a coffee I see this truck and its owner. He was talking to a guy in a silver Ram rebel. One of those "what are the chances" moments.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I knew instantly who it was, been following George and Julie for a while, an awesome couple, with equally awesome cars :)
Ford ranger is built really tough. I have a 3.2 xlt bulletproof level 5 so its really heavy and you can barely tell its bullet proof, so nice to offroad
Very cool truck. I love seeing modern trucks doing offroad styling. I'm not a fan of huge and wide chrome low profile wheels. Or invisible trailers. I do really really like this. Reminds me of trail riding in a 90s f150
This is a dope set up. The bumpers and fenders are on point. I would get the tremor package and do something similar with the bumper and fenders. Make it look like a baby raptor.
Been following this couple on Instagram since the beginning watching them grow and seeing there mustangs build and ranger grow it’s pretty cool there great people too
Had my 3.2L turbo diesel Ford Ranger Wildtrak from 2016. So sorry that you guys got it in the US so late. From Autocraze.au in Australia to the boys in Thailand.
Nice, I've got a 2019 4x4 Sport XLT Crewcab with that same catch can, and a dual port Turbosmart BOV. Lookin to get the AFE Intercooler piping, downpipe, and MBRP dual rear exit exhaust. Soon I'll pull the turbo to send off for a bigger cartridge. I love my Ranger so much. Eventually gonna get around to bigger tires and a front lift to fix the awkward stance.
I think this is definitely a great truck, but its like comparing apples to oranges. This is someone's personal MODIFIED TRUCK. They chose each part installed it themselves and put the time into modding it. While the raptor is a truck for someone who just wants a off-road monster from the factory. BOTH ARE BADASS.
Haha the entire automotive world is apples to oranges. You can have a badass street car and somebody would be like "Broooo, my turbo civic can beat that!" Then somebody else comes in and says "Broooo If I turbo'd my car I'd beat that civic" "Brooo my car is better because it comes from the factory with x horsepower " "Brooo my car is better because more available mods" etc etc 🤣
I just installed some Nitto Ridge Grappler 285 70 17's with some XD RG2's. It brings out the truck a lot more. I also installed some after market crash bars and a 2.5 level to clear the wheels
screw that noise, drive my tacoma when the 35s are mounted! That being said that ranger looks sooo nice. I always said the ranger is so close to being a good looking truck and this is what it needed
I bet this Ranger is a fair bit more capable than a stock Raptor. Stock Raptor 75k, Ranger depending on spec ranges from high 30's to mid 40k. Throw in 15k for a high end suspension kit like this and you still have a fair bit of change left over and you end up with a truck that will take serious punishment off road and is smaller, lighter, more efficient and will keep up with any Gladiator on trail. You're looking at 55k plus for a top of the line Rubicon new anyway. No brainer if you ask me. Oh, and the ecoboost can be tuned to churn out way more power than the breathless V6's in both the Gladiator and the Tacoma making it much less of a pain to drive daily 🤷🤷
Joaquin Paul Raptors start at 55k, sure you can look at that and realize that no one buys at msrp so the price is higher in this case. The ranger xlt will go for about 30k. That’s a 20k difference between two stocks trucks. What does that give you? Better, and longer travel suspension, a more robust rear end, more robust chassis, 450hp 510ft tq, larger cab, larger bed, all with a warranty. Put 15k into the ranger and I’m sure you’ll have a badass truck, but by that time you’ll have voided your warranty for just about everything mechanical. The argument over built vs bought will never work because some guys like to buy something and be contempt. Why buy a mustang gt when you can modify an eco boost mustang for less? Different stroke for different folks
Joaquin Paul you can buy a diesel sport s gladiator. The diesel pumps out 450 foot pounds of torque. It comes with 4:10 gears and Dana 44 axles. Sure you won’t get the transfer case or the push button sway bar disconnect but, it’s 10k plus cheaper
Big thing with the ranger is it fits down a trail better than an f150. Just depends what you wanna do. Go blast through the desert or the dunes? F150 raptor. For 2 track trails through the woods the ranger will be much more maneuverable. Less likely to bang it off trees too
I love fast cars. But as I get older I have moved away from them a bit as I no longer want the trouble with the law in my life. Lifted trucks are my thing now. Putting a lift on my OBS Chevy 1500 this weekend.

@@TheSkrillexRemix get off the Taco train!Absolutely love them and was very close to getting one myself but went for the Ranger FX4 for cheaper than what the Taco SR5’ 4x4’s go for.. Now I have no worries about it being underpowered, having to search for gears (auto was a must for me), and no head unit issues that the Taco come with from day 1 unfortunately. Also like stated in the video, no need to regear when bumping up in tire size. It’s a no brainer!

Awesome video. I’ve been eyeing these as current 2012 F150 Lariat 5.0 owner. I’ve owned a 2001 Ranger XLT with the 4.0L V6 and EVERYTHING is so different now. This video answered so many questions and alleviated a few concerns about a 4 cylinder in a truck I planned to lift much like this. I want to build one out like this for an adventure truck to enjoy with my kids to make memories. Again, awesome video! Definitely earned a sub here. Also: I’ve got the Patagonia M/T’s and they are insane on the value to performance side. Grippy, thick rubber and when aired down (I’ve found you can’t go too low though) they perform incredibly.

I have an old 98 Ranger I like very much. 254,000 Miles, 3 Liter, 5 Speed Manual, 4 X 4. I HAVE gotten 21 MPG Hwy, but it averages 18 Hwy normally. It has a 2 Inch Lift, and its great on logging roads. Wife retires in 14 Months, and we MAY buy a new Ranger at that time. We are making no major purchases until we see what happens with the election. Right now, we are debt free and intend to SAY that way! But, do I want a new Ranger? OH, YEAH!
I'm surprised we don't see more modified rangers. I personally am a bigger fan of the tacoma, but the ranger is a close second and I'd honestly consider it next time if for no other reason than the larger interior cabin space.
Its definitely a sweet Ranger. I'd like to know how much he has into the complete build. Gotta be close to Raptor territory. I rode in a new Ranger last year and just couldn't get past the inferior fit & finish between it and the 4 Tacomas we have had between my dad, brother and myself. The drivetrain and towing capabilities are probably the only things that could get me to switch to a Ranger, but to each their own...
you can lightly off road in a Prius :D.....Last year I camped in a free spot off road at the top of a big hill in NM close to Carlsbad. Pulled in close to dusk, camped and in the morning as I was making coffee, I saw a Toyota Prius heading down the rocky dirt road. I thought I was really doing something in my Land Cruiser....they did it in a Prius :D
I so wanna build a Ranger like this minus the rack system and camping gear it’s probably as close to the Ranger Raptor as you can get in this country what an awesome truck 🍺😎👍🏽
I'm not really a fan of the stock look of the new Ranger , but this truck looks awesome . I have the last gen Ranger myself , and I'm more than happy with it for now . It will be interesting to see how these are priced as used trucks in a few years , the ones like mine are pretty pricy for anything good .
The pricing only goes up lately. Used market as well. I searched for 8 months unable to find a new one with features I wanted. I gave in to a lightly used one, but it's got the fx4, lariat, and sport appearance packages so I'm good 👍 😎
