@@beeblake7591 I just googled it, it's a video that teaches how to bustle a wedding dress. That is when someone essentially pins up the back of the dress, usually for the reception so it's not as big.
We had a buffet with a ton of food leftover. Biggest regret was not bringing tupperware for it because it was delicious and would have made a great snack at midnight.
Girl, same. We had a buffet and had a lot of food left over. We wanted to be sure the family got any extra food, but forgot to ask for some to take to our honeymoon with us. Could of saved us from having to resort to a convenience store trying to get basics the next day.
I would be careful with that, in Wisconsin (and likely other states as well) you can't take leftovers from a buffet due to health and liability concerns. I would check beforehand so you don't bring something you can't use.

YES FEEDING THE VENDORS! Often times at my family parties we have a section (not just a table but like a section in a corner or something for them to put their stuff) just for the vendors with their own snacks and whatnot and we tell them that they’re also welcome to the food for the guests as well. We also let them in earlier than the guests so that if the want, they can eat before the event starts (ESPECIALLY the photographer) or they have some dry snacks that they can snack on throughout the event as well as some water
Excellent and very thoughtful. The boss of the event production company I worked for didn't do this or care. It was like pulling teeth to get him to provide water.
I just got engaged over the weekend, and I have gone into wedding planning mode (my fiancée has started calling it wedding brain) and your videos are super helpful!
Also, have someone collect all of the cash and gift cards together so that you can use them on your honeymoon. This was extremely helpful to me and my hubby
My clients always get so overwhelmed after they get engaged and they realize all that they have to do when it comes to wedding planning. These are great tips!
For #12 & #23...the photography reminders....YES!! I'm a wedding photographer and even though I tell my couples to have someone designated for wrangling people for family photos, it's like herding cats and takes up much more time than you realize! I also agree with reminding brides to bring an invitation for pictures, most brides don't. but they make for great detail pics!
Ooooh! Can you do a video on tipping vendors? Maybe just one on etiquette type things where you lump that in with a few other things? Like if gratuity is included with your food vendor for instance, how much do you tip on top? Do you tip on top? Do you tip the coordinator if her fee was an extra thing on top of renting the venue? So many tipping questions.

Why have a vendor, when you could have a buffet where people put food into their own plates. I’d have a small wedding and have certain tables line up first so it’s no so chaotic. Also guest book is pointless. I think it’d be more fun to have a photo booth and have guests leave extra photos in a folder to make a scrap book later full of wedding picture from guests and the photographers as well.
@@xkaykay420xx Buffet is more expensive. If you have 100 guests: with a vendor you need 100 meals (everyone chooses their meals, ex: chicken, fish, veg.). With a buffet you basically need 100 of each option because you don't know what each guest wants. If people serve themselves and people take the vegetarian option for fun you might run out by the time an actual vegetarien comes through the line and then they might not be able to eat anything. Plus you can't control portion sizes if people serve themselves so you end up paying for way more food than you actually need so that you don't run out. If you're lucky the caterer will pack up all the extra food for you and you can freeze it for the next month but if you're not lucky you've paid for way too much food that might just end up in the garbage.

@@cristalrodriguez1589 A coordinator is not necessary for every wedding. But it's a must to have someone as a point person. Many brides pay a friend a fee just to be a day-off coordinator. So helpful oh my gosh. I have planned events before, but my own wedding, end of April 2019. These small details are the things that I know drive me crazy for regular event. What state are you in? I am in Vegas let me know if you would be interested to come here? Loved #25 by the way you ar absolutely right I hear so many brides say it went by so fast that I dont remember much.
Just a think about the first 2 rows thing-I had one of the event planning people come up to me at my brother’s wedding and tell me that that spot was received for the groom’s parents and sister. I looked her dead in the face and said “I am the groom’s sister” hurt my feelings for her to assume I shouldn’t be there.
Love the video and had a wedding planner for my wedding last month! She was exceptional and even though my day wasn't completely perfect, it went smoothly with the help of my planner!
I am all of my friend's tear down crew! Some how, I always know to stay till 3 am! Hahaha. I'm never asked. I just know. I send my daughter home early with a family member because they know too.... :)

Nonetheless, these are all super helpful tips that I’ll still try to prep prior to our meetings a month out from the wedding!! Glad I found this video and excited to check out your other videos! 😊
I just subscribed, because I am getting married next year. This video was so helpful, and I want to here any other advice that you have. I am looking forward to watching your other videos.
Heather Perry Congrats on your engagement Heather! Let me know if you have any planning questions 💕
We are having a diy micro wedding soon. This video is incredibly helpful!
Love the videos and have watched heaps in the last few days since discovering your channel but video idea: tips/advice on a morning wedding and/or morning/lunch reception. Bit wordy but hopefully that made sense.
Love the idea for the reserved seating signs!
Thanks for your videos. I am getting married this year, so any tips are helpful. I am excited to watch your videos; literally, watching while I am in class... lol
So exciting! Congrats!!
Another topic you completely nailed! So many good things to think about for my upcoming wedding. Thanks again, you’re awesome!
Her tips are definitely awesome!
So helpful!! Crunch time for my October wedding and some of this i forgot!!
I absolutely love your content Jamie! I am getting married in December this year (Summer here in Southern Hemisphere) and your videos are giving me lifeee! Also love the Sandy vibes and your hair is looking fab xxx
Definitely a Jennifer Lawrence look! You look great
Here I am four years later and this is still a great video!!
EYELASH GLUE!!! I keep some on me for any and every event haha
She said emergency kit and I thought, "First aid for my feet, bandaides, bandages, ice pack, ibuprofen..."
There are SO many of these that wont pertain to us. But we arent doing what 99% of couples do for their wedding. We are getting married in the same place were staying, and not hiring vendors. However, ice....we didnt even think about ice!!!
Saving the day one video at a time - superweddinghero! ❤
Do you NEED a planner ? What are the pros and cons ? I just got engaged, i'm the first in my family to plan an actual wedding and to actually get engaged. I'm completely overwhelmed lol
How's it going now?
I like how it’s always the women remembering everything haha....my fiancé is being held responsible for being on top of things. I’m not marrying myself. He’s gonna contribute to planning 😂👏lol loved this video. It was really helpful to us!!!
Thank you SO MUCH! These are great things that I am recently engaged and have already learned so much from you. My best friend will be getting married soon as well, and I was wondering if you would be able to do a MOH video -- what they need to know, what they should do, what their responsibilities are, etc. Thanks so much!!
You are amazing! Thank you so much for making a video like this. It will be very helpful when my wedding comes along 😁❤
Jamie Wolfer Oh and I saw ur video for the first time yesterday AND subscribed! I've learned so much in a day binge-watching ur videos. Its been fun :p
Thank you!!! Wedding in 12 months and you bring calm to our lives lol 😍
Question, what's the "tip rule"? Like what's a good amount to give?
Your hair looks AMAZING
Awwwww Jamie I just love you. Thanks for this video! Two months until my big day and I’m loving your vids
Your curls are gorgeous
When did it fall out of favor to put the MOH and/or BM in charge of gifts/cards?
Love the video and had a wedding planner for my wedding last month! She was exceptional and even though my day wasn't completely perfect, it went smoothly with the help of my planner!
I am all of my friend's tear down crew! Some how, I always know to stay till 3 am! Hahaha. I'm never asked. I just know. I send my daughter home early with a family member because they know too.... :)
I’ve just come across this video by chance. It’s so incredibly useful. Thank you.
Love your videos, Jamie!
Could you do a video on having a DJ vs doing music yourself with a playlist vs live band? Would be useful!
Love the hair and make-up reminds me a little of Carrie from Sex and The City!
