    Good job so far, the only thing different I’d do is when I take Engines out of the frame I would pressure wash the frame really good while the engines out, and I would clean all the Engine parts cases etc. before putting it back to together. I have really bad OCD so I’m a clean freak when it comes to my quads..

    • @shaynedonnelly374

      That’s the way to do it. It’s best to do that as a habit and I’m pretty OCD myself but I’ve never once seen him once pressure wash anything other than the plastics. Then again wd40 is his preferred lube for everything including for the motor when he rebuilds them at all. Never seen him use engine lube and most times he’s working off the garage floor and new parts on dirty cardboard boxes. Fun to watch though cause he’s baffled when his rebuilds blow up lol

      @@shaynedonnelly374 he’s got his ways, I do Notice he uses WD40 for everything lol. when I clean up I pressure wash and SC1 everything, they are good videos to watch. I enjoy watching them, .Definitely not a mike sabo build. From basket case garage.

    Hey Joe, I couldn't see the clutch basket well enough to be sure, but it appears to have been "repaired". The clutch bolt with the head that was ground down was going through what looked like two tubes that had been placed there to replace what had been broken off. The broken, threaded piece may be where some of the metal that you found came from. Also, that roll pin looks like someone tried using it in place of a missing pin. It's been apart before and some of the pins (3?) were lost. Did you notice the scrape marks on the counter balance weight? Looks like it had made contact with the crankshaft counter weights. Did the gears that had the chewed up insides have bearings that are now missing? Might have to grind or mill the case where the gear shaft was held and use shims to regain the proper clearance. Can't wait to see it running with you wheeling it down the road. Peace.

    That will be a good race and also if I was you, I wouldn't waste my time on the warrior engine. The early 2000's 350 raptor engine is the exact same as the warrior engines, all you gotta do is take the stator off the warrior engine and put it on the raptor engine. That way you can have a nicer newer 350 engine on the 97 warrior. The warrior engines are alright, but all the ones I've had, they all had weak oil pumps and them no oil gets to the top end and it shears the cam gear. That's why I put a 2005 350 raptor engine on the 98 warrior I had and I had no issues at all

    • @Davido50
      @Davido50 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      2015+ Raptor 700R motors are enhanced even more than pre '15 models. Higher compression + even stronger internals etc.

    • @Stephen033
      @Stephen033 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea they are nice engines but I was talking about the raptor 350 not the 700r. The 350 raptor is the exact same as the old warrior engines except the stator, so that's why I took the stator off the warrior engine and put it on the raptor 350 engine. It ran so much better and smoother and faster than the 350 warrior engine.

    • @4.5.0.Garage
      @4.5.0.Garage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Stephen033 the HP difference is good too between the raptor 350 and the warrior 350.
      The Warrior is so weak for a 350 it's gross.

    • @Stephen033
      @Stephen033 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@4.5.0.Garage you are right about that one. When I had the warrior, and it had the warrior engine in it, I couldn't hardly stand it up cause the engine was weak and the quad was really heavy to. But even tho the quad was heavy, it didn't take much for that raptor 350 engine to stand it up. It done really well. I wish I still had it.

    When I first watched your calculations at the end of the video, I was thinking, "Wait! He's not valuing the time, blood, sweat, and tears he's put into this machine. Obviously he's already invested several hours, maybe even a full day to diagnose, and it's going to take another full day to install the new parts when they arrive. Shouldn't the estimations include two full working days labor? "
    Bit then I thought, no, he shouldn't include that in the calculation at all, because I figured he'd be doing this anyway, whether there was money in it or not.
    That, to me, is the very definition of "passion".

    With the amount off damage done in that engine putting money in to it is nuts .you'll either be keeping a bike ,that will just keep throwing up problems .id chuck it n buy a second hand motor .
